Our original room overlooked the courtyard, next to the gateway. All the noise at night was carried from that terrace just outside. The room security was also a bit suspicious. The hotel staff kindly agreed to change our room when we complained about the noise of the night. The rooms had a very special toilet. From the bed, one could watch the other sitting on the toilet. The shower also had a completely open view of the rest of the room. Breakfast was quite moderate. It contained fresh berries and fruits. Coffee was a disappointment. The behavior of the hotel staff was a bit unusual; one employee always seemed to talk to us like we were children. In the hotel restaurant, we were poured in without asking for more wine, which was promised free, but unexpectedly I was billed. In addition, the -10% discount promised to hotel guests was forgotten to give us. We noted this, but according to the owner, we will not be able to edit your credit card bill later, which is bullshit. We were cheated. Overall, the hotel was disappointment.

Beautiful hotel amazing staff and lovely food. Situated in perfect spot with stunning views and very short walk into the main square. Loved every second and would highly recommend!

Brilliant location staff very friendly and helpful although I thought colour scheme in rooms could be brighter, good choice for breakfast always sun loungers by pool no matter what time you go and lovely to sit on balcony overlooking the lake

What a wonderful hotel! We’ve been to Lake Garda many times as a family and have stayed in many different hotels in Malcesine, Torbole and Riva, Ambienthotel Primaluna is by far our favorite. Very modern and clean, as well as comfortable, it’s at the best location to walk to historic Malcesine, and many top notch restaurants. Opening the back door and jump in the lake whenever one feels like—it doesn’t get better. This hotel has hands down the best breakfast of any hotel we’ve stayed in Italy. And we’ve been to a lot. My kids also got big comfortable beds as well. They loved it.

Staff is friendly. We were provided with a coupon voucher that discounted entry fees to the water park, the lift and castle. Also, ten percent discount to the hotel's restaurant. Access to the beach and walking path was great from the first floor room.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were so friendly, the restaurant was delicious, amazing views of the lake and the location was perfect (a short 10 minute walk into the town). The room was comfortable and nice enough (but the rest of the hotel was the highlight).

Amazing hotel, right on the lake front!

The Primaluna has been based on what the customer would want from a hotel. The sit-down check-in, vouchers for a free drink at the bar later, being shown around the hotel initially for orientation was a great start. The hotel itself based just outside of Maclesine town about 7mins walk, was of modern design and very comfortable. Pool, gym, next to Lake Garda and close to town. The breakfasts were probably one of the best in any hotel Ive stayed in. Quality food, an egg station, fresh juices, fruit, cereal, meat, cakes etc. etc. We had dinner one night and if had more time would return - great steak and service.Would certainly return for a longer stay if possible next time. The garden room was a great base looking out over the lake.

Quirky & modern hotel with all the facilities you need at the side of the lake. Excellent service from all staff, good food & easy access to the town, what more could you ask for? Our first choice for hotel if we return to Lake Garda.

Perfect location. Very close to Palladio piazza. Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel provided us with a free parking pass which is essential in Vicenza. We will definitely stay there again whenever we are in town.

It was far from the center and bus station, but right to the lake, with a nice view. I think is fine in the Summer, right on the beach! We loved the breakfast ,the glass fireplace and the restaurant terrace. The pool also locked fine, but the rain and the cold, don't !

We stayed at this hotel during our honeymoon in Italy- it was wonderful. The hotel seemed to have the best views on the whole lake and it was within a perfect distance lovely walk along the water to the adorable downtown area of Malescine and to the cable line up Mount Baldo. Dinner at the restaurant at the hotel was delicious and it was amazing to sit on the deck with the sunset and the stars over the lake while you dined on dinner or breakfast or at the lovely bar. And, the owners and staff were as sweet as could be. The quirky style of the hotel was so cool as well!

Excellent food in the restaurant, we got 20% off the first meal and then 10% of the other evening meals. We are both vegetarian and the selections on the menu were excellent - a page and a half of choices. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed at the Ambienthotel Primaluna for a wedding in Malcesine and we could not have found anywhere better positioned or in such great quality for anywhere near the price. The staff were friendly and helpful, spoke a variety of languages, and made us feel welcome. The quality of the food was second to none and the only disappointment was that we could not stay longer or try the dinner menu. The hotel is placed a short distance from Malcesine centre, but enough that we did not have to put up with any noise and could still enjoy a short walk along the beach at the end of the night. We have nothing bad to say about this hotel, and are looking forward to staying there again in the future.

Wonderful location and view. We were on floor 0....higher would have been a better view but we still could see the lake. Easy walking to town, restaurants, castle and cable car to top of Mt. Baldo. Outstanding breakfast served with friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

The staff could not have been more helpful. They provided an exceptional service when we had to change the booking details. We cannot tell you what they did because we don't want to create a precedent for them but in our opinion it would have been unlikely that many other hotels of whatever standard would have been as flexible and accommodating. The hotel itself is of modern construction and set into the hillside. The interior is minimalist with walls which are rendered (concrete?) and then painted. This means that the interior is dark. In the furnishing and decor the hotel has an quasi industrial feel - or perhaps like a modern art gallery as such it is not for those who want the style of the Ritz. This is not any criticism it is a style choice and, in our opinion, properly suited to the hotel. We did not use all the facilities but the pool was in a great position and the gym looked well equipped. Similarly we only had breakfast but what we did have was typical continental buffet service but of good quality. The location is outstanding because it is set in the hill the lower floors including the dining room and bar are a few metres above and from the lake giving outstanding uninterrupted views. Parking is on site.

We had a wonderful time in lake garda, topped off by a 6 night stay in this lovely hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. breakfast was amazing with a huge choice and the room was comfy and had everything you need. we stayed in the basic room with no view but as the hotel is on the lake this didn't matter. the dinning and reception areas have a spectacular view. The hotel Is in the perfect location for exploring the city and the whole of the lake. Its about 15mins walk to the centre of the malcesine and less than that for lovely restaurants and cafes.

Ambient hotel Primaluna is a very modern hotel with an Eco twist. Rooms were very nice and it's very close to the castle. Staff were friendly and the pool/hot tub were great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Couldn't fault it in any way. Right by the lake front, lovely helpful staff and cracking breakfast! Would go back in a heart beat.

Such a fabulous trip. The staff were fantastic. Nothing we asked was a problem and we were a large group of friends with babies and toddlers being fairly demanding! We will definitely be back.
