We stayed here for a tournament. While the location was convenient, the hotel could use some updates… we travel a lot, and this wasn’t it.

Front desk Nicolas does not know how to smile, not welcoming at all and always at the back of the office. I wonder what was in there. This Inn supposed to be a smoke free environment then why does it smells Marijuana on the second floor where our first assigned room coming from the connecting door. Unfortunately have to talk to this unfriendly, discourteous front desk guy Nicolas to change our room this time on the third floor. All Sleep Inn and suites that we've stayed this is the worse front desk staff. But Breakfast was great!

It was a small basic hotel room with a King bed. Furniture was old and pretty scratched up. The duvet was stained, the shower head was in desperate need of cleaning and an upgrade. It had a basic shower head that squirted every direction, including outside of the shower! That was fun.
The shower area itself is small also. I highly recommend if the hotel plans to renovate or make improvements that they install curtain rods that bow. It was impossible for my husband of average build to keep the curtain from touching/sticking to him.
On a good note, no bugs, removed duvet and bed was okay.
I would not recommend if you are staying more than 1 night or plan to be in the room for any amount of time other than to sleep.

I was told no password was needed for WiFi but one was needed. I ended up using my cell phone as a tether but not as good or convenient.

Our room had some plumbing issue. When I called front desk, the staff informed me to fix it ourselves, because there were no other employees working there. No options to switch room or getting a plumber to fix the issue. I eventually got it fixed, but the front desk was horrible. I hope no other guests have to go through with this kind of service. Very disappointing from a large scale hotel chain.

One night stay to break up a road trip. Read previous reviews describing dirty carpet in room. That was unfortunately true. Socks turned dark. Sofa in room had dog hair. Overwhelming musty smell in the halls and room. Would pay a little extra to stay someone else.

This pet friendly hotel is VERY pet friendly. The charge for your pet is $30-not bad. The room smelled like a dog, and was very basic. It has everything you need but nothing luxurious. Our dogs were happy to jump on the couch and sleep on the bed. Thr good thing is nobody cared. Outside the hotel there are small areas to walk your pet and a big grassy area behind it. This fine if you travel with pets.

To start with, The room had an unpleasant smell. Something in the bathroom was leaking and the floor there was always wet. It was noisy. There were very noisy children in next door room who stayed up late, and then were awake again at 4 a.m. One room on our floor had a dog who barked every time someone walked by in the hallway. People congregated outside hotel and made a lot of noise.

We stayed one night and it was fine. Quiet overall. Perhaps a different experience for others depending on the time of year since Dover is both the state capital and the home to Delaware State University. Only note I would point out are the manual doors at the entry do not support ADA with push-paddle opening mechanisms.

Comfy beds and friendly staff. The AC works like a dream and the water runs on the hot side. There was a used wash rash forgotten on the shower curtain rod, but other than that the room was clean and well kept.

It is an older hotel so one has to understand that comes with certain factors, but what was inexcusable was when I opened the door to my room in smelled like someone was smoking pot in their & it was a non-smoking room. Worse yet, I took off my flip flops and walked around the room to put my things away & my feet turned black from the dirty carpet! The bathroom was good enough with my only complaint that they gave you just enough toiletries for 1 shower. The staff was as friendly and helpful as they could be and the breakfast was decent. The pool area, though small, was well maintained and enjoyable on a hot day.

Very accessible from route one on the way down to the beaches. Floors in the room felt a little scuzzy, but otherwise things were clean and simple.

Staff were very nice. The room had a musty odor. Housekeeping sprayed freshener but didn't help. I suspect the rest of the rooms were the same. Believe it was the carpet. Places really should do away with carpet and do laminate. Carpet is just nasty. No fault of the staff

The staff was very nice but I would not stay there again. Rooms (especially the bathroom) really need updating, air conditioner did not work, and most importantly, it did not feel clean. It served a purpose but I should have stayed somewhere else.

My sheets in my room had blood stains on them, if i wanted to get a microwave had to pay 20 more dollars for another room. I told the manager about my situation and my sheets weren't change right away, was given a 30dollars off my bill and i stayed there for 2days. I will never go there again and the manager was very slow in attending to my situation. The worst place i have ever stayed!!!!
