it’s my second stay& i would loved it da way hotel environment actually so peaceful & dark rooms as im a heart patient & newly married but my stay really da Best great Hotel especially for new married couples so beşt place for their new journey of marriage life amazing hotel i wanna go always there to stay

Poor breakfast for such a hotel. Little range, low quality

Always my first choice of hotel when staying in Solihull.

Very clean and tidy. Staff are very polite and always happy to assist.

Village Inn is a chain, so the hotel had a similar feel to others you may have stayed. It was clean, the room was a good size and the housekeeping was excellent. The club area has a cost unless you join the hotel's loyalty or pay for a club room. The pool was a decent size and is often roped for lane swimming. I didn't use the gym but did use the pool, jacuzzi area (not the best I have been in), steam room and sauna. The restaurant area had a good generic menu, service was fast and food tasty. There is also a Starbucks in the lobby so access to a smaller breakfast is possible if you don't want to pay for a full breakfast. A good hotel for what I needed, but it is on the outskirts of Birmingham and has no direct transport links into central Birmingham or the airport.

Very good stay except The buffet breakfast was overcooked and hard

Room was quite big , which was a good thing , but the only snag is,, the air-con didn’t work, also the extractor fan in the bathroom wasn’t working too 😬

the facilities of the hotel / gym were generally very good. I stayed during the a hot spell and the air-conditioning in my room did not work, making it quite uncomfortable. i reported this and was advised it was due to a local power cut. Colleagues staying in the hotel at the same time did not experience any issue and it was visibly clear that the air conditioning key pad in my room was broken with a black screen.

The rooms were clean, well decorated and spacious. The linens and towels were good quality. The restaurant/bar had good food and a great atmosphere. We were with our kids and had a connecting room.

Stayed in this hotel on and off for few times in a month and checked in several rooms that all pertained minor problems such as lightbulbs, waredore damages and airconditioning remote control lcd broken.

Very handy if you’re visiting the hotel for a conference or trade show. Clean, tidy with decent facilities.

Awful noise with room location at front hotel - impossible to sleep until early hours of the morning

Nice hotel, a lot of accommodation but a bit chaotic

Very busy in the bar/grill due champions league final on. Noisy but ok with me. Families may have been a bit intimidated

Convenient location, good facilities, fair value. Inadequate clothes storage in room; only one bath towel between the two of us; no telephone in room to call reception/housekeeping and main tel no not answered when called so had to get dressed and go to reception in person to get towel; several small maintenance issues (wardrobe light, bath plug, door battery). Would like a night light as bathroom light shines through to bedroom.

Anniversary stay with my wife, we generally enjoyed our stay, hotel was kind enough to even decorate our room… don’t expect 5* services simply because it’s not a 5* but it’s a decent hotel we had a happy stay Heads up the swimming pool and gym is also used by members of the local area

Overall the stay was excellent but I have to say there was a small issue that wasn’t great. The breakfast was nice apart from the potatoes which are really dry.

Shocking stay . Noisy, dirty, overpriced, poor, poor, poor.

Nightmare from the moment we checked in. The self check in system was working, new carpet being laid on the stairs so 1 slow lift for 20’+ please trying to get up stairs. A grumpy receptionist on duty with trout lips didn’t help at all. Poor heating / air con system, noisy outdoor kitchen vents , tvs not working, moved room still not great. Dining areas very noisy, poor service from staff, breakfast a very poor quality and offering. I’ll never book into another Village Hotel. Avoid them if you can.

Bathroom in need of maintenance! Desk light broken. Couldnt order room service at 2115! Food selection in bar poor.

Room in poor condition, bath had rust marks and chunk out of it Pubic hairs around loo not pleasant at all

nice hotel like the other Village hotels, very bust as part of the village gym/pool relaxation services etc. apart from breakfast on my checkout day - the only staff member i could see was talking to someone at the bar for severla minutes while i was at the wait to be seated for my pre-paid breakfast. i decided to just take a seat (amongst the 20 tables that had not been cleaned after previous guests) and had my breakfast over the next 20 minutes seeing 1 member of staff in this time and nobody said anything to me and i left without word. i could have save the breakfast cost and just sneaked in there as nobody was on duty checking anything or noticed me getting a full breakfast. Starbucks on site was great. my other Village stay in Swansea on the same trip was a far better experience.

Room had someone’s old socks in, there was moisture and condensation constantly on the windows, the bar and restaurant was chronically unstaffed and took ages to get served let alone get your order, the breakfast was pretty pathetic for the price point.

I was not impressed with my stay. The towels looked like they had been used & the bedding was stained.

The hotel room was tired and shabby. Quite Mucky and dusty in places; needs a deep clean. Wifi was really slow.

We had a lovely room on level 4 . Very comfortable but areas of the bathroom were unclean. We wern't told breakfast finished at 9.30 ! We turned up 9.37 and they said we could have breakfast so we asked for fried eggs to be told the burner had be turned off so no eggs!!

I was charged twice for the room (once via Expedia and one on request at the hotel). I flagged this within minutes and I have had no correspondence since (3 days ago). Bathroom also was filthy (urine stains on the floor tiles).

Very helpful at checking in, / out easy to doit you self if you want. Every thing you need on site and all the staff very helpful and easy to identify . Room was very clean and well laid out, shower was best in class.
