The only real small issues were the thin pillow, tiny shower and curtain that didnt quite reach the floor. And they use keys and everyone had trouble figuring out which way to turn them and it made alot of noise.

This hotel is a very good choice for solo travellers, my room was small but clean and modern. Had very nice weather when I was there so the roof terrace would’ve been good to know about but no information was given about this. The rooms overlooking the car park on the 3rd floor also have balconies. I do wish that hotels without a bar would provide Tea/ Coffee trays, you can request a kettle but that’s all you get. I didn’t have the buffet breakfast as I prefer to eat later the cost was €13. Walking distance to all attractions, don’t miss the Residenz it’s quite stunning with beautiful gardens.

Staff was nice and with very good hospitality.
The room was quiet and large enough, and the view from the balcony was lovely.
Being in the middle of the town, it was overall a good hub to explore around Würzburg!

This lovely hotel was very clean and comfortable. It’s more modern than the typical German properties but still has a genuine feel unlike chain hotels. We were glad to have a room looking to the front of the building where we could hear the church bells next door.

Very nice family hotel. Location is great, good breakfast and service extremely friendly. Room clean and quiet. There is not so many good options in Würzburg to stay, this has been the best since now. Will definitely stay here next time.

Hotel Franziskaner was a great base for a weekend spent exploring Würzburg. It is in a quiet part of the city but only 5 minutes from the city centre. The reception staff were very welcoming and the room, although not large, was comfortable and big enough. The food in the attached restaurant was excellent and breakfast was good too. Overall, good value for money and I'd choose to stay there if I went back to Würzburg.

I had a single room with a view of a church tower and a garden. The shower-room/toilet was excellent! At last! Good lighting and a magnifying make up mirror!
The hotel is very centrally situated, a few minutes walk from the Residence in Würzburg. Easy to get to by tram from the main railway station. Actually, I walked the whole way with two suitcases as there happened to be a marathon run through the city centre when I arrived! Upon leaving, the day after, it was rainy so I took a taxi (9 Euros) to the station.

Comfortable hotel with lovely staff. Breakfast was exactly what you would expect from a continental style buffet, they even made fresh eggs for each guest. 5 minute walk to the palace and into the city centre where we visited the Christmas Market. Parking in right in front of the hotel. Bed is very firm, but still comfortable. Would recommend.

The hotel it situated in the centre, its quiet there and very clean, the breakfast is typical standard. I had dinner 1 evening and could not fault it. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would return there again.

Comfortable room for one or two nights exploring Wuerzburg. Excellent breakfast for $9. Quiet but central location. Small bathroom and charge for 24 hour parking.

My husband and I traveled with another couple. We had superior double room on the 3rd floor - so more space and a balcony - and a great view. The other couple had a larger room and a couch. Breakfast, staff, rooms, linens, all good - though they charged extra for eggs. Go figure. The front desk even printed our boarding passes for our flight home.

This was a stroll down memory lane. We lived in Wuerzburg from 1990-1996. The hotel stay was great! The hot weather did hinder out comfort somewhat, but we were grateful for the oscillating fan. Their breakfast buffet was very good. We were with walking distance to several historical sites & great restaurants.

This is a friendly family run business, ideally located for seeing the town. Staff friendly and breakfast very enjoyable.

The hotel location is OK and room was reasonably clean, but the rooms are too small. The bath room is so small that one can't even sit comfortably on the toilet! Given a chance, I'll not stay here again.

Overall we had a pretty good experience at the hotel. It was in a great location for walking around town - about 10 minutes to the main tourist attractions. The room was clean with decent furnishings. The bathroom was quite small, which we expect in Europe. Our biggest issue was one (out of two) mornings we did not have hot water. It was so cold that neither my husband or I could stand to take a shower. The hotel was very apologetic and did give us a free small bottle of wine. It was fixed by the time we returned to the hotel in the afternoon. Mostly it was just inconvenient. We had read some other reviews that mentioned that the area was very noisy, but we did not feel like it was loud at all. No issues there.

Room was great. Hotel was a better experience than higher rated hotels in the city. Staff was a little brisk, but cordial. Location is superb.

It was a very short taxi ride from the train station. I arrived before check-in time, but the hotel had a luggage room. I did not use the hotel safe deposit box. Breakfast was. The room was, like the others I had stayed in, very clean. Size was adequate, There was only one chair. TV German only. But the location was excellent, the breakfast good, and the staff wonderful. I would return.

What we didn't like:
- Little shower space. I could barely fit inside
- Only one lift and heavily used so you need to wait if you want to use it

The hotel has a great location for seeing the Residenz, the old bridge, the town itself is all very walkable. We had a car so we drove to see the fortress accross the river. Would strongly recommend getting over there. The only disapponting thing was they do not really have parking. There is a lot in front of the hotel where one can park for a short while-if there is space-but not overnight. We had to park in a garage about a block away and pay 10E a nite. Breakfast was pleasant, adequate and reasonable. The room is on the small side, but we did not go to stay in our room, just needed a place to rest. The staff was most helpfull.
