We arrived late for check-in, and the woman who met us was lovely and helpful. The room (which was really kind of a suite) was bigger than expected, with a great deck. Pool was awesome. Loved the location. If you want to be out of the craziness of the main parts of Santorini, Mesaria is a great option. Maro was lovely. Though I didn’t connect with her until the end, I noticed her relate to all the patrons with the warmth of a host. She was very kind and helpful to my kids and me. We loved the stay and would definitely go back there.

I had a fantastic room, great breakfast, and they helped schedule all my transportation to and from the airport. Kalma has a great knowledge of the area and it was fantastic for someone like myself who was traveling alone. Maro, who owns the property, really made this experience above and beyond. She helped me get to the buses, book tours, and gave me tips for my visit in Santorini. If I go to Santorini I am DEFINITELY coming back here.

Everyone was super nice and helpful. I didn’t catch her name but one of the receptionists was super helpful . This is a great place if you want to experience all of santorini on a budget! It is right in the middle of the island and lots , lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Bus stops nearby as well. The pool was clean and it’s deep which i loved . Honestly a good bang for your buck! You don’t get the nice oooh ahhhhh sunset view u get at Fira but it’s only a ten minutes drive away!

Great place, very homely, on Monday an road but not as you would know it. Some good local restaurants within couple of minutes’ walk.

Great hotel. In a good location with 2 supermarkets, 4 restaurants, bakery, bus stop and pharmacy all within 50 yards of the hotel. Only 5 mins from the airport but not on the flight path so no noise.

Highly recommend this friendly and small hotel in Messaria. Although not close to the beach, it has good size swimming pool which our 13 year old boys enjoyed enormously. Breakfast was varied, the greek yoghurt never missing from the table with homemade grapes confiture. Delicious! The hotel staff was friendly, always very helpful. I would always go back there!

For the money we paid (£400 for direct flights and hotel) I really cannot argue with this hotel at all. The manager/host was brilliant. The Hotel is spacious and the pool is very nice too. And only a 10 minute taxi journey from Fira.

The owner was extremely friendly and helpful and made sure that we are satisfied. The staff was also very friendly. The room was well equipped and regularly cleaned, but the shower area was a bit small. The breakfast (included in the price) was also good.

It is a nice place whit a pool and lot of flowers. Quit noicie because it’s on a main street. The breakfast was so-so!

Hotel is nice but it is far from the center of the city. bus comes every 30 minutes. Spent long time to wait for the bus back and forth to the city center, which is 3.5 KM away.

From the moment I arrived at the hotel Kalma I was treated extremely well. I arrived after 10pm from Thira airport and although I was tired, thirsty and hot I was given a wonderful welcome,and shown to my room .The receptionist in particular was very knowledgeable regarding tours and local attractions . Some things are best described by someone with local knowledge - although googling is helpful. She went so far as to draw me little maps with directions. The Caldera tour by boat and Oia sunset recommended to me was amazing.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, nice pool and good air conditioning. We stayed in a room overlooking the main road which was noisy, and the hotel wasn't in walking distance from the main town. The hotel is owned by an old couple who speak little English and were not very helpful - we politely asked for a refund for the last night as we had to leave early, and they responded unnecessarily rudely by saying "there are no refunds and if you can't support us, then you can go!". Overall we thought it was overpriced and would stay somewhere else if we came back. We wouldn't recommend this place to other travellers, you can find better value for money elsewhere!

Perfect stay for what I was expecting. For the price I was very comfortable. I had a single with a balcony and it was fine for just my self. The staff is an older couple who are very friendly. I would consider staying here again.

The hotel couldn't find our booking, despite us receiving a confirmation email several days before hand. It seemed like we were greatly inconveniencing them by our arrival. Room was very clean, however the bed is very thin and the base is a wire mesh. After two nights we left for another hotel closer to the action.

Very nice experience. First time to Greece/Santorini. A family run hotel that made us feel at home, away from home! Breakfast was great and swimming pool a plus!

Very good stay at Santorini ! good location, great hospitality

I stayed here for two nights. The hotel is run by the cutest older Greek couple who are genuinely friendly and warm. The lady reminds me of the mother in "My Big Fat GreEk Wedding". The room was very small but comfortable with a functional ac and good mattress. The washroom was also small but the shower was hot. The linens were fresh and of food quality. There is a nice balcony on each room. There is strong free WiFi throughout the hotel. The room and the hotel are immaculately clean. The breakfast was decent and there is a nice pool area. The hotel is a tad far from the major attractions, but it is right at a bus stop and the bus system runs 24 hours and is very good and cheap. The price was excellent. If you want to save some money, Kalma is a good option.

The owners are just amazing. Will help you in everything and anything. Stayed only one day, but felt very welcomed. The price and quality rate is over the top.

We absolutely loved Hotel Kalma. The family that run it are so kind and will look after everything you need. The town of Messaria is quiet and for us it was the perfect spot to base ourselves to see Santorini. It is 5 minutes out of Fira which is great if you want to be close to the heart of it, but not right in the tourist zone. There is also the best gyros shop we found on the island about 50m down the road! We will definitely be back!

The hotel is just lovely, the breakfast is very good, and the pool is just lovely. I really enjoyed my stay here, I moved into Fira for a couple of nights before I left and I regretted it. It's just peaceful here, cheaper at surrounding eateries, and there's a bus stop just outside, which you can catch to Fira or Kamarti beach. I'd stay here again if I ever go back to Santorini.

The hotel is very clean, very beautiful, and the pool is amazing. I had a room at the back, and it was just bliss sitting on my little balcony and watching the sun change the sky at night. I've been travelling for quite a bit, so the hotel being a bit out of Fira and the hustle and bustle was a blessing, and there is a bus stop right out front that will take you to Fira or Karmati beach, and is a very regular service. My only complaint would be there were no facilities either there or nearby to have my clothes washed, but I'd still def stay here again :)
