The hotel was walkable to the town center. Parking was not the most convenient as there were only about 10 spots behind the building; we ended up about 1/2 mile away because we couldn’t find the parking garage they mentioned. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. We wish we had more time to explore Ulm because we felt there were more shops, foods, and churches to explore than we initially planned for.

Such nice friendly staff. Clean, spacious room. The shower was European style, half enclosed. I like fully enclosed so the water does not splash outside. Otherwise it was perfect.

Very clean modern hotel short walk to town 10 minutes free parking excellent fresh breakfast

Hotel Riku was a great location for us to visit our son and his family only about a 10 minute walk away. Their price was less than several other hotels we have stayed in on previous visits. Breakfast was not included but the hotel had a very nice breakfast buffet at a very reasonable price (7.50 Euro). We were disappointed not to have several amenities we are used to like coffee pot in the room, telephone and a safe. The room was large and spacious with a very high ceiling and two big windows. We will stay there again.

Everything was super but room to hot and ni airco or cooling possibility. Could t sleep because to warm and no air althuogh I openen the window.

We got one of the last rooms that was on the first floor on the West side. No AC and on a hot day in July it was really hot in our room. And if you open the window you have a motorcycle parking area with a lot of noise and people walking by. So if you stay here in Summer, get a higher room facing a direction other than West. Otherwise a nice place and close to nice walking areas in town and across the river.

Nice hotel which were welcomed after our train travels. Room was clean and spacious and beds comfortable. Very close to train station which was ideal for us. Nice walk into town centre also where we then climbed Ulm Minster cathedral spire. The tallest in the world. Took us a tough 40min to climb the 768 steps which was very claustrophobic at times but views from the top made it worth it

We booked this hotel for on night it was okay but the bathroom could have been cleaner there was talc still in shower which I did not like put me off straight away maybe it deserves a better rating as everything else was okay but the shower just put me off

This is a modern basic hotel, situated about 5 minutes walk from the old town, or about 10 minutes from the Cathedral/ City centre. The rooms are as described, complete with a writing desk and chair. There is no air conditioning or safe in the room. I found my room to be clean upon arrival, and the daily housekeeping ensured it was maintained as I found it. There is only a shower, no bath. Although the area doesn't look too nice, on first impressions. I didn't notice any signs of neglect, nor did I feel uneasy, about walking around alone after dark. There is a well maintained children's play area close to the hotel, where parents appeared quite happy to let them play alone. Elsewhere there is a selection of shops and restaurants, as well as a bank, all within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Remember this hotel is situated in Neu Ulm (New Ulm) which is a good 15 minutes walk from the main railway station. (Haupbauhnhof) However there is a smaller suburban railway station called Neu Ulm, with frequent services to the Haupbauhnhof, should you feel the need to use them. The hotel is situated a 10 minute walk (maximum) from this suburban station, which it's self is adjacent to a large new shopping centre. The only comment I would make, is that if you have luggage, you will need to use the wheelchair lift in the car park, to access the hotel. It is signposted, but you may also need to use the buzzer, adjacent to the door, to be able to enter the hotel.

within 10mins walk to city. free wifi and parking was good. There's a new small Italian joint called Vabene just adjacent to the hotel. It does takeaway pizzas and pasta. The little restaurant seats abt 20. We had pasta there daily. At eur6-9 per dish, it was good value. The spaghetti. ragu di Manzo (aka bolognese) was fab and big. So was the carbonara. Overall, the hotel was good value for its price
