The place was perfect! We met up with friends, and the common area provided a cozy atmosphere with couches and a fireplace for us to chat. Staff was friendly and helpful and rooms cutely decorated and, most importantly, clean and comfortable. The location was also great: near the freeway, but felt like in the country. Several good restaurant options were walking distance away.

We love the decor, one of the reasons we choose the hotel. The price was fair for the time of our stay. The hotel was clean, we'll kept, the staff friendly and courteous, the free breakfast was simple yet filling and had enough variety to satisfy anyone's wishes for a breakfast to start your day.

Really good overall. Breakfast lacked much for real nutritious high protein and fiber with low sugar options. Powder eggs from a bag and biscuits and gravy is such a 2000 hotel breakfast. Do boiled eggs, milk, water, oatmeal, berries, fruit, nuts. Overall happy but bummed with breakfast options. Grabbed a banana and ran.

Absolutely wonderful!! Tucked away in a nice area, Clive, Iowa, but conveniently right off the expressway. You walk in and it's like your stepping in a lodge. The theme is lodging and camping. There are comfy couches and board games for families to play. There is a beautiful fireplace on one end and the breakfast eating area with a coffee bar(!) at the other. The check-in desk is to your left. Once you check in, you walk to the elevators on your right. After stepping off the elevator you walk a cute cat-walk overlooking the lobby. Here there are tables and chairs you can sit. The rooms are nice, the bed is comfy, the lodging theme continues. I really appreciate microwave and refrigerator! The pool and hot are also very nice. We tried both😀. There were off to the side and quiet. There was a fire pit outside that we weren't able to be there for but it has 10 nice Adirondack chairs placed around it. The daily hot breakfast was wonderful. Such a selection for everyone. Did I mention the coffee bar?😀. I'm a coffee lover. Also, it is open all day. I really appreciate that. I could not find one area of this lodge that needed any touching up or wasn't clean. Whoever is the owner does a fantastic job!👏👏👏 Also, if you are visiting and need a dinner suggestion they are affiliated somehow was Machine Shed Restaurant. Fabulous customer service, fabulous quantities and reasonably priced.

Staff was very helpful at check-in. There was ice water available at the front desk for filling water bottles. Restaurants and convenience stores were close by, very walkable. The fitness room was small but very well equipped. My only complaint was that the fitness room did not open until 7 am, and the key had to be requested from the front desk, instead of being accessible with the guest room key.

This hotel is easy to get to and decorated very nicely with the Northwoods theme. It is clean and the people are very friendly. Our only slight complaint was that we didn’t care for the breakfast offerings. Otherwise, a great stay.

This is a basic economy hotel. The price seemed high for the level of hotel. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a softball tournament group staying at the hotel so the common areas were very loud. Loved the location (away from the freeway and nice sidewalks to walk my dog).

Everything was great until checkout on 7/12. Went to front desk to check out and clerk was having a lengthy conversation with a woman who was either a friend or a guest but I stood there for a couple of minutes, room key in hand so obvious I wanted to complete checkout yet she just kept gabbing as if I wasn’t there~~finally just dropped key on counter and left without a receipt. Poor customer service
