The property is in a very quiet location (no passing traffic). a few minutes walk and you are in the centre of town and the coach station. Regular busses to the Schmitten and Sonnenalm gondolas. Once you up top wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. The staff is so very helpful and professional. Living in Spain it was wonderful to be by the lake and enjoy the flowers on the Balcony.

Unfortunately,the weather was not good (rain),staff was polite, amable but not warm( as before ,many years ago),breakfast good ,not excellent.Maybe Zell am See is better destination for winter holydays, in summer you risk to have bad time during a short stay (under one week)

Such a great place to stay, the service and hospitality is wonderful. The restaurant is outstanding, top notch service and cuisine, their chef is amazing! I would very much stay here again on my next trip to Zell am See.

Very nice property, good location. But I should have been warned that it was the off-season, no spa, no restaurant in the evening. No fire like advertised, bar not open in the evening.

The hotel has a good location in the centre of Zell am See, and we were very happy with the comfort of our room. It was spacious, with excellent bathroom facilities and large, comfortable bed. The only downside was that, as there is no means to cool the room other then opening the windows, we had to keep them open all night and we were kept awake by noise from the road outside. This would not be a problem in Winter, but a cooling system in Summer would help a lot. We were on full-board in the hotel and both the breakfast buffet and set 4-course meal at night were generous. However, the quality of the food for the latter was not great and each evening left us a bit disappointed. If we could have eaten elsewhere, I would give this hotel a rave review, but its food lets it down. A big positive is the friendly and professional service, especially in the restaurant.

This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. It has a beautiful traditional style with a high standard of interior. The room was spacious with lots of lovely touches. The pool was an added bonus after a hot day of sightseeing and it is clear all the team work hard to make your stay as relaxing as possible. There is a wonderful calm atmosphere encouraging you to linger and enjoy the facilities and loads of additional extras including a welcoming drink, much appreciated after a train journey, complimentary afternoon snacks- delicious and plentiful and a beautiful recipe book as a leaving gift. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. I only wished we stayed longer.

Hotel beautiful, ...staff v pleasant, ...spa facilities excellent, BUT......a big disappointment with the food ! This was our 3rd time staying in the Torolerhof as we were delighted with every aspect of the hotel on previous visits. This time...we seen a huge deterioration in variety, presentation and standard of food.. Apparently the chef they had, left last October, and to quote a member of staff... “it has been catastrophic “. Eg: salad buffet served up cold baked beans for starter with lettuce and tomato etc. (Salads , SAME every night and v basic). NOT the standard of food we associated with this hotel. One evening was a “Meat buffet” and we thought, this would be better, but were astounded to find 4 varieties of meat all piled into one stainless steel roasting dish together ..covered with a piece of tin foil which the chef lifted on and off as he asked...what would you like? He then hoaked through the jumble of meat till to found what you asked for...and proceeded to cut a slice for you on a grotty looking cutting board. The plates were cold, and the skin, bones and cut offs from meat were thrown into a container sitting on serving counter right under your nose where your food was served. All in all, sorely disappointed with our dining experience in a hotel that we associated with excellence of food.

The food was great, fab salad buffet. We were placed in the extension for our first few nights, felt a bit out of the way there. Staff friendly, and would go back. We squeezed in a 4 night break with 3 days skiing flying into Salzburg and would do it again.

Arrived early afternoon and met with a welcome drink. Very friendly, helpful staff and nothing too much trouble. The family were also hands on as we stayed during the Christmas period. Situated close to the centre, the hotel is very well run, has a cosy feel and would love to go back. Meals were also very generous and well prepared.

Although we do not know them, they made us feel part of their family for one night. The room was fine, very clean and well appointed. What would really bring us back for another stay would be the restaurant. A huge applause to the Chef and team for creating such an elegant and delicious dinner buffet. This is a lovely hotel near the centre of Zell am See. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with good modern bathrooms and a balcony. There is a nice pool and spa area - with massage jets that are just right after a long walk. What makes this hotel special is the staff - they are responsive and friendly and simply can't do enough to make your stay comfortable. You get the impression that they all enjoy working there. I was also impressed by the standard of the food and the organisation which makes everything run as smoothly as clockwork.

Staff not friendly when we get down for breakfast staff said all table is reserved you have only one table in the corner

Amazing hotel, staff, facilities and meals. We stayed in one of their luxury modern room and they are simply perfect with huge separate bath and shower. The lovely Italian waitress (Roberta if I remember well) took care of us during meals and was always attentive, polite and friendly. The location is perfect and i cannot recommend it enough for a stay in beautiful zell am see.

The hotel was good but one problem Parkings few parkings only . We ate one time at the hotel restaurant but we didnt like the food . Everything is near the hotel . فندق حلو و نظيف للعوائل بس مشكلة الباركنات و ما شي مكيف، مكان الفندق حلو كل شي حولك .

The location is quant, just off the main road. Walking distance from the bus stop and 2mins cab ride from train station. Old world charm and a sense of history. we were given a room upgrade, and our room was in the newly restored section of the hotel. Decently sized, comfortable beds, great sized bathrooms. Reception was fairly helpful as they obtained a print out of a boarding pass when requested for the same. The only downside was the dinner service, on the first day we waited for 10mins to be seated, and were told firmly by one of the staff to wait. For vegetarians there is only token choice, the meals offered are no way close to the non veg ones in terms of variety/taste, salads were the saviour. Breakfast was great though and a wide array of choices. Pool and sauna area well maintained. Overall a quality establishment, and well worth staying, but a bit more warmth in the service would take this review to 5stars.

Good things were the excellent reception staff, food, position of hotel,size of room.But the one minus was the bed, it was far too hard, we have found this before in Austria.

Just returned home from a 5 night stay in the Tilrolerhof. What an awesome hotel, wonderfully located, fantastic hotel staff who cannot do enough for you - so much so that when you step back out into the real world you're disappointed when other service providers don't live to their standards. Gorgeous spa and even more terrific treatments - the massages are absolutely wonderful. I cannot give enough praise to this hotel - they get it right every time. We had cancelled flights and the owners son sat and helped us sort alternatives. At every turn they delight you with customer service, but exceed standards of cleanliness and luxury. Delicious food and wonderfully welcoming. We arrived after a 10hr journey and the first thing they said is sit down, what can we get you to drink, whilst we completed the paperwork in a relaxed manner. World class and well, simply...WOW

Every part of this hotel is run in a highly professional but friendly and unobtrusive way. It is a real pleasure to stay there. We got an excellent deal through Expedia. Dining hours were later than usual for Austria which meant more time to use the wellness facilities and relax before dinner. On arrival we were welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine and our rooms were available early.
