All good. But the breakfast says till 9am. When reached 8.50, they ssid kitchen closed..

Excellent customer service from Conor on reception. Very accommodating, helpful, friendly and professional. Great view of the river and onsite parking which is a bonus!

The staff were friendly on check in, giving all the information I needed. However, the room wasn’t exactly what I was expecting for £60. The mattress was very worn and the pillows very firm. Despite the listing, the rooms were far from soundproof as I could hear the tv in the room next door. It was an okay room but you’d fair much better at the Chatham maritime travelodge for the same money

I have found my stay good. The manager Layla and receptionist Conor very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Free onsite parking which is great bonus.

I knew this was a budget hotel when I booked it, so I did not have expectations that I would have of a more expensive hotel. I booked two separate rooms. Both of our rooms had terrible beds, such as no padding between springs and top of mattress and an actual horizontal crevice in one of the beds. The breakfast was cooked as advertised. There was no working coffee machine and only a thermos of hot water for tea. When I asked for a paper napkin, I was pointed to a roll of paper towels on the counter. I would not stay at this hotel again

Room not overly clean, very noisy with soil pipes from other rooms running through it, no soap or shampoo provided and generally very tired hotel in need of at least a repaint.

Ideally located hotel for local wedding

There was bugs on the bed the blanket has blood on it i couldn’t even sleep there left as soon as i saw the bugs

Tiny room, window only opened an inch, small ineffective fan. No toiletries supplied, only available if you wanted to purchase separately. No staff on reception or in bar when we went down to enquire about an extra fan and a hairdryer. More like a hostel than a hotel.

Tired and in need of redecoration and upgrading. Cold water tap would not turn on. Did not expect the room that is used to advertise the property but expected better than the room allocated.

Not to happy about the breakfast in the morning as you have to wait a bit longer than it used to be,the reason being it used to be a buffet breakfast which was great,,Also evening meal was advertised But cos the chef went on holiday the meal wasn’t covered by anyone…

OK room but generally scruffy and a terrible shower. Breakfast room was not cleared away with crumbs everywhere, but the food was fine

The hotel was not as advertised. This is not hotels.com fault, I think the hotel have been selective of which room they took a photo off. This hotel seems to be used by contractors, this isn't a problem but dont expect boutique or chic, expect rough and ready. The room was basic, ok but not was expected. Little things like some bleach in the bathroom would make a huge improvement. The hotel itself was scruffy, the staff were rude and did not care. Breakfast was appalling, nothing worked, the food was terrible.

Good location for Rochester and Chatham, budget hotel that does what you need.

- Upon entering room 214 initially, I noticed a stale odour, despite the window being wide open. When I returned having had my evening meal, the smell was stronger and I also noticed the room didn't have any towels. When a member of staff subsequently brought me some towels, he came into the room and had to agree that it was either the toilet or the shower plug (I think the latter); but when I asked whether I could change rooms, he just said apathetically that he thought there wasn't a spare room. I asked him to find out and let me know, but I heard nothing more, and I was too tired to persist. - The catch on the doorframe is barely fixed in place, it being on broken wood. Obviously somebody's broken their way into the room in the past. - It would be helpful to notify guests in advance of the car park at the rear, or at least for there to be posters about it where the roof car park was fenced off, or even to tell people when they arrive, rather than merely letting them notice the fliers at reception. I only noticed them in the evening (when the car park was empty) yet I had previoulsy wasted over an hour finding and walking from alternative parking. - Service during breakfast was poor – almost non-existant. I had to search for a cereal spoon (found a sole one on the side), couldn't spot the coffee cups because there were just a few left high up on the top shelf, my order slip was not picked up as it stipulated it would be, and milk and bread levels were low too!

Stay was ok but not a very nice area. Going into Rochester is a real treat

Booked a deluxe room overlooking the river. On arrival told the room wasn't available. Offered a sibgle room or very small double room with broken double glazing. The second night were given a better room. This was booked for a family relative's birthday. Disgraceful. Will book elsewhere next time. Still no refund.

Parking area tight Rooms lacked tissues in room. Shower in bath lacked safety grab rail and safety mat . Mouid in bathroom and obvious previous leaks from room above. One juice at breakfast only _orange. Choice of 2 cereals. No serviettes But cheaper than other larger competitors.

Bed not comfortable. No hairdryer - had to ask for one. Temperature of water for shower not warm enough. With evening meal - cutlery not provided, had to ask for it. On positive side, room view across river was nice.

Friendly helpful staff at reception . Needs an upgrade. Bathroom especially. Can hear through the walls - sleeping was disturbed.

The hotel was conveniently located. We asked for a twin bedded room but were given a small double room. Half-hearted suggestion that they might move us. Room poky and in poor decorative state. Towels not changed during our stay. Card machine not available at the bar; being used for a function elsewhere. Breakfast OK. Cereal/toast and could order eggs/bacon/sausage and beans. Useful car park onsite. Staff pleasant. Room view good.

We stayed due to having booked the venue/event room for a 50th birthday. The room (201) was a little tired and dirty. Needs an update and a deep clean. The worse issue was no hot water. Apparently this is an ongoing issue. We heard a customer raise this issue on the Saturday lunch time and it was not fixed on the Sunday still.

Dated decor. Sanitry silicone black. Woodwork in room flacking paint. No hot water for both nights. Hotel staff tried to make excuses and say it was being looked at but other residents who are frequent visitors said its been like thay for a long time. At least a third if the car park fenced off and unuseable. Boxed in by 2 other cars on 1st night. Not a place I'd be recommending

I stayed in room 406, very spacious 1 double bed and 1 single. Great room for space if you like to have your belongings out. Plenty of storage, wardrobe and Chester draws. Very clean and maintained by the room steward. Excellent view of Medway river and can see the sun set in the evening. Lovely team of people at St George. Great for parking free on site which is a big bonus. For the price it’s very very good value.
