Convenient for the arena but overpriced, very dated, tiny rooms which are in desperate need of a full refurb.

Front reception area was very inviting and clean, room was comfortable and clean. Room/door cards kept malfunctioning so had to keep getting them reset, at least 2/3 times a day but apart from that it was an extremely pleasant place to stay. Suited us perfectly as we had an event at the Utilita Arena which was practically next door. Would defo stay there again.

Good - Fab bed and very quiet, excellent location for my needs. Unexpected and not so good - Had to ask for things I imagined were standard like a kettle. I booked two rooms but they were on different floors and not initially recognised when booking in. Didn’t like the bathroom set up at all. Shower steps out into the bedroom area, sink is in the bedroom area, toilet is a box. No privacy with this set up at all. Was not cheap in price so i did expect more. It’s my first time in an ibis and I’m not likely to return really.

We stayed here to attend an event at the Arena. It was very compact in terms of space especially for the three of us, however it was clean and the staff were very nice. It served it's purpose well and for the price, I was happy with the room and service.

Great little hotel. I stayed one night with my 9 year old and was perfect for us. Cheap and cheerful. We took our own kettle and mugs as these are not provided. We went to an event at the arena so was allowed to park up but did check-in till 10pm. Even then, we were able to pick up a pizza from reception. Staff were really helpful and incredibly polite. When our pizza was taking longer than expected, the lovely guy on reception brought it to our room when it was done. Its a budget hotel so didnt have massive expectations.....was perfect for us for 1 night.

You get what you pay for. Simple and clean, but a noisy hotel. Ideal stay foe arena visits. Room kettles would be good/nice to have

Hotel was fine for what we needed.

The hotel was comfy but I had to put the sheet on the single bed. I have never had to make my own bed before at a hotel. I would have raised it with the staff but we were short on time due to a sporting event and couldn't get time to talk to them

No kettle tea and coffee in room. No hot breakfast

Rooms are small but have everything you need. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast had enough choice and excellent location for arena and shopping.

Great hotel for the Sheffield arena

Lovely stay, very clean & the A/C was invaluble on the days we was there as it was very sunny & hot, the ONLY downside i would say is they dont have a kettle in the room which i was gutted about, but everything else is great!

Very basic, but perfect for what we needed to be in walking distance from the Arena!

Stayed her so many times but this time the service was absolutely disgusting.The gentleman from reception kept knocking on our door to hurry us out as we was a little over the checkout time.He then would not leave us alone a made us pay an additional cost of £20 pounds to stay a little longer.

something in-between a cell and a hospital ward and a caravan , very small rooms but the hotel and room was surprisingly very clean and fresh smelling. bed not comfy but sheets was clean .

Ibis Budget by far the worst hotel I’ve been to from Sheffield and I’ve seen some rough places if I could give you 0 stars I would, the beds are like concrete, rooms are like prison cells, walls are as fin as paper, there’s only 2 plugs (not near beds or mirrors) We paid £417 for 3 nights nothing budget about it there was no free condiments coffee/ tea/ sugar or kettle, the staff was rude anytime we asked about stuff such as the kettle & coffee, we also asked for an extra pillow as you only get 1 set of bedding no spares in the room the foreign male behind the counter was cocky about this and said “they dont have 500 spares” with having no where else to go we had to stay the 2nd night and on the morning we decided to leave cutting our trip short we asked for a part refund for the 3rd night we wasn’t staying and he refused as they needed to know the day before at 12pm (makes no sense) we’ve had a case open with Expedia they are unable to get hold of the hotel the past 2 weeks for the refund claim this isn’t very professional of ibis. Don’t let the reception foul you it looks good when you first walk in but the the hotel itself is horrible, Don’t waste your money coming here and go to the premier inn across the road I wish we did. It was awful , no communication from hotel re works loud raving late at night 1,30 am in hotel rooms, corridor smelt like illegal drugs being smoked, hazards in hallway power tools all over floor. Wouldn’t refund do I could move to another hotel.

After initial confusion trying to find my booking, the staff were perplexed that 2 grown men were sharing a double bed, which I found quite rude. The room was basic, but we did get a good nights sleep despite the noisy road. The parking was also advertised as free, but we were promptly told it was £7. Won’t be staying here again.

It was a very simple room with a bed, that's all. No chair to sit. No electric kettle to make our tea/coffee. Insufficient toiletries. The shower head was fixed to the wall, which made it impossible to wash the shower walls, glass door and floor. No flexibility. TV was too small and subtitles were difficult to read.

The room itself was compact as expected and the shower cubicle tiny. There was a drink splashed up the wall and a plastic bag secured over the smoke sensor on the ceiling. The beds and floor were clean. There was only one pillow on each bed which was not adequate.

Alright for a cheap hotel. Would have been disappointed if I’d paid anywhere near the advertised room price. Key cards for room kept stopping working, very basic rooms, not very clean, needs renovating.

I swore to myself that I wouldn't use another ibis hotel after a horrendous stay in a Birmingham one many years ago. However I needed a hotel near to an event I was going to and because I'd left it late my usual hotel was full. It was only for one night so I figured I could cope with it. Yes, it was basic (clue in the name), but it was clean and the bed was comfy. I was expecting more noise later on but this was minimal and I was only woken up once. I was on my own so there was ample room just for me, not sure if there would be if there couples or families (single bunk bed over the double).

Detention centre has better beds than twin beds we had from ibis. We will never ever come back to this hotel. We will book travel lodge instead. £7 for parking is ridiculous. It should call hostel not hotel

i think it is an absolute disgrace that you do not have a kettle or a hairdryer in your room. you have to “hire” these at an additional cost. the room was also freezing cold and the shower was a joke. water just trickling down no pressure what so ever. i for one will NEVER be staying in this hotel again.

Chose this hotel as close to Arena. It was clean and quiet . Took own kettle and teabags as the rooms don't have them. The twin room was small but comfortable. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Would happily stay again.
