The Hyatt was in a nice location to the Union Depot. There is parking across the street or one can use the valet parking. The floor to ceiling windows are beautiful and the room is great with a small sitting room, bed, and desk. There's a front lobby with a bar with a snack bar, plus a delicious free breakfast. Great place, would stay again.

The property it self was great. Our room was clean, just as we expect it.

Property was very clean. Staff was very accommodating and personable. It's close to metro system but that's not very safe especially at night. Room was great, but if your on the 5th floor your view is blocked by a wall half way up the window.

Very friendly staff

The front desk staff was very courteous, kind and helpful. We were close to restaurants and parking. The room was large and spacious and nicely appointed.

the only issue was the bar restaurant did not open until like 730 pm

Third stay this summer. This is becoming one of my favorite hotels; clean, convenient, reasonable. The rooms are huge and bathrooms are updated and very nice,

you see no people in lobby area and even outside the hotel and nearby in downtown streets

I was put in a handicapped room with window overlooking a roof with no access of any view. Four sided walls with roof. Dark, dreary. No trashcans. I used valet. No help with loading luggage. Had to ask if the guy would help pick up things thst fell out when l opened my vehicle door. I am 72. Could of shown some manners. The check in staff. Excellent.

Breakfast was lacking but other than that beautiful property

The only disappointment I had with the property was the only dining option they offered was what I would call bar food.

A solid property overall. Very happy with my stay. Staff we encountered during stay were all great! Literally every employee was awesome from check in, front desk, bar staff etc. Room was comfortable and clean, although the top floor large rooms look way bigger in the photos. One quirk we noticed was 3 of us had 3 separate rooms. All of us were charged different security deposits. Example, 2-5 night stays, one was quoted $500 security deposit, which seems crazy for hotel with no room service and none of us parking a vehicle, although the actual deposit was an odd $409. Other 5 night stay charged $200. 3 night stay was charged $200. Unrelated to hotel, If your planning to ride the Metro Transit into Minneapolis, I would highly recommend you don't!! Absolutely do not ride at night! We are 3 large males and had numerous scary issues the one time we attempted to ride back from a twins game. We actually got off the tram about 10 stops early and called an Uber.

On the plus side, spacious rooms and very convenient location. Breakfast was good, but limited. Room view was terrible considering proximity to the river. All I could see was other hotel walls. Bar / restaurant is simply too small and too limited in terms of offerings. It was disappointing to not be able to get anything after 10pm. My arrival was delayed on my first day, meaning I couldn’t get food or drink right after I checked in. Website incorrectly indicated bar would be open until midnight.

Perfect stay. All staff were friendly and helpful. Minnesota nice! I plan on staying there again next year.

Location, close to restaurants and other major cities

The ONLY thing missing was no hair dryer in the room, and when I called the front desk, they said I’d have to come down to get one…….I was already in my pajamas so that didn’t happen. First time in YEARS that I stayed at a hotel with no hair dryer in the room. That being said, I’ll stay there again, it’s a beautiful hotel and the rooms are huge!

Power went out and nothing was done for hours

My favorite place to stay when i come to St Paul.

Nothing fancy. Stayed at several hyatts and this has been my least favorite. Felt a little outdated.
