Nice cosy hotel. We stayed in the main room and it had spacious rooms. Nice garden in the back. Also has a big kitchen with mostly everything you need. In the morning there was breakfast cooked for you.

Kevin is a wonderful host. Choose this accommodation if you are happy to share bathroom and not too worried about cleanness. Kevin will cook you a homemade breakfast and do his best to help you during the stay.
The property is old but we'll located. However, it is surrounded by busy roads so not very quiet or peaceful.

Kevin is incredibly nice and his breakfast is delicious. The check-in and check-out were very flexible and quick which is very practical and appreciated.

Kevin, the owner is very welcoming and the check-in was easy and well organised. The cottage was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great and enjoyable. The cottage bathroom is very small and looks unfinished, but the shower was good. Parking was available. Be relaxed and you will have a pleasant stay

A short walk from Hobart CBD, inexpensive, easy check in/out, comfy bed and homely amenities. Wonderful breakfast and coffee, and last but not least a shout out to Kevin, always a wonderful host😀

The owner was very responsive and friendly. Breakfast was made fresh and to order. Although the property is older, it was clean and with all the amenities you need. Beds were comfortable

Kevin was the best host. He personally cooked us breakfast and you could see that he genuinely loved what he was doing. I really enjoyed my stay with him. Very thoughtful man! Would definitely stay here again if i came back.

The owner, Kevin, was very pleasant and accommodating. Each morning he greeted us with a large hot breakfast plus coffee or tea. There was a communal, large full sized kitchen with all amenities there for our use. You must be able to walk up stairs in order to reach our room. The bathroom was not modern but certainly adequate with hairdryer, shampoo and conditioner. We’d certainly stay here again- much better than a plain hotel room which is twice the cost!

Bed linen and towels were fresh and clean but overall state of cleanliness and fabric of building not good. Dust and cobwebs everywhere. Shower facilities very cramped and nowhere to put soap bags etc. Breakfast was mediocre. This establishment has not been a cafe for some considerable time. WiFi reception very poor.
Garden unkempt and full of weeds.
Our stay was in the Heritage Art Cottage, part of which was being used as a storage area.
On the plus side there was plenty of hot water.

The property was quaint, cozy, and walking distance to Salamanca and the CBD which was perfect. Rooms were cozy, and the shared bathroom was spacious, with amenities to use if needed such as shampoo and conditioner.
Highlight of our stay was Kevin, who was incredibly cheerful and helpful, and made us feel so welcomed. I’ll recommend staying here for the experience alone!

Lowena was okay for one night near the CBD. Basically everything needs upgrading, ‘ensuite’ smelt mouldy, lots of furniture crammed into a small room, aesthetic was weird. Comfy bed so grateful for that.

Lovely old house with some modern features set in lovely garden. On a busy street hence busy traffic during the day and night. Hospitable host and very welcoming.

Very enthusiastic owner, who serves a great breakfast. My room was fairly large, but I could not get beyond some of the poor quality renovations that were done, especially related to the electrical work. Also, the bathroom is very poorly designed with almost 0 horizontal spaces.

Kevin was a great host. Breakfast was really tasty. Not luxury but the room had everything we needed, small kitchen, TV etc. Bit of a walk from town but its fine. Skybus drop off/pick up is about 10 mins walk and town about 15 mins.

Looked promising. Property is in need of a makeover. Had the Kings room with ensuite which needed some workin shower and a big clean. Was in an excellent position to Hobart central and Kevin was a fine host. Excellent breakfast cooked freshly for you. If property was cleaned up would be a great place to stay.

Very comfortable Bed, good location & host Kevin very friendly but the room was too cluttered & the ensuite that had been added to the room ruined it. Extrememly poor workmanship, very roughly built, joints not even flushed & very roughly painted. The shower cheap rounded one and not cleaned very well. The garden would have been lovely if it was looked after, but full of overgrown weeds. Such a shame as this would be a lovely pleace to stay if it was given some TLC.

Had a lovely time here. The place is in a great location 10 min walk to the city and the surroundings were very picturesque- i had a great time just walking around. The manger was lovely and very accommodating, overall great stay 😊

The host was very nice and friendly. Great breakfast. The property was on a busy street. A lovely period home but was not cared for outside or in. Christmas decorations in our room that had a view of the construction behind. The pictures don't really represent the present condition of the property. Needs TLC. The shared bathroom had not been very clean.

The house is an old historical looking house. The shared shared bathrooms were great. They have a large kitchen you can use as well. The beds were comfortable and there was a heater in the room for chilly night. Kevin was an amazing host. He made a delicious breakfast every morning. I was also able to store my bags in the store room so I could go do an excursion the day I checked out before my flight. Would definitely recommend for a couple or single looking to stay close to city center. I was able to walk home from the harbor with no issues.
