The property was nice, but what stood out most was the staff they were outstanding. Our car had broken down and the town we were staying in was not very big so there were no mechanics surround however, the maintenance guy Logan took the time to get a new belt for us and repaired a car while we were out hiking Denali, Andres at the front desk found Logan for us and was very helpful. Can’t say enough about how great the staff there is.

Nice little cottages. Clean and well kept. No kitchen utilities other than a cooler outside. Nice restaurant. Very polite and helpful staff.

We were here to visit Denali national park. The crows nest is only about 1 mile from the park entrance. So super convenient for our main goal. There are a ton of little shops, great eating establishments as well. The crows nest are individual cabins. They are not dry cabins, have hot water and a bathroom. They are definitely old, but have a fresh coat of paint. The restaurant on site has great service and good food but pricey. We tried a different place in Denali each night and never had a bad meal. But for coffee/breakfast highly recommend Black Bear down the hill. Over all we were satisfied with our stay!
5.0
Comfortable cabin, friendly staff. If you stay in the 300-500 numbered cabins, they are located on the side of a mountain, so you have to climb stairs to get to the restaurant or go to the shops in town.

Older cabins very rustic but with great view. Our group enjoyed the overlook restaurant. we also took advantage of the shuttle service to / from the train station.

Great location with respect to park access. Stretch 3 star lodging. Lodging is dated and due for a major renovation. The rooms are not level (i.e. if you put a marble on the floor, it will roll quickly to the other side). Carpet worn out. Fixtures in various states of disrepair. Faucets in the shower and sink are close to end of life. We didn't need AC with the windows open, but it would be hot sleeping if the weather was warmer, and there was some noise from other guests due to the open windows and close proximity of walkways and rooms. Restaurant was very good, as was the entire staff. For the price in this location during high season, it was OK, but our group (3 rooms) would look for a better alternative next time, even if the price was higher.

Nice clean cabin with comfortable beds. Hot tub was a nice addition. The heat was a little low. We had a pleasant visit overall.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The accommodations were fine. The cabins are on a hill and you must climb a very steep hill each time you want to go anywhere. The shuttle was a great amenity.

Cabins are very cute from the outside BUT the interiors need updating and repair. Ours had a burnt smell and it was no wonder considering the heater had something burnt on to its grate and the smoke detector was missing. They are hard to access you park at the bottom of the hill and walk up boardwalks to get up to it ... if it is raining in Alaska, this is crazy difficult and SLIPPERY! For the outrageous cost per night to stay there it is not worth it.

Everything was perfect. The room, food & drinks, Hot tub & sauna, and the helpful service. Definitely staying here again.

When considering these are cabins, and not hotel rooms, these were decent for cabins. The rooms were fine and beautiful from the outside. The linens could use an upgrade. They provide each room with a cooler that sits outside and access to a freezer with bagged ice. The van for transportation is old. The cabins are on the side of a hill/mountain so plan on lots of stairs and/or steep inclines to get to the front desk and another climb to get to your cabins. They do have a golf cart to bring your luggage up to your room.

Staff was great. Area had alot of things to do

A 3 star hotel with 5 star service.
The people who worked there couldn’t have been nicer and very accommodating.
The overlook restaurant, attached to the hotel was great too!

Nice setting.
The cabins are very appropriate for the area. The staff was very good and accommodating.

Did not check in due to the Riley fire across the street; Denali park being evacuated; poor air quality; fear for our health; have not heard anything from resort or Expedia about refund. My evaluation will change once I have refund.

We had a great stay. The staff was very accommodating and the shuttle service made it easy to get where we needed to go. And the view from the property was amazing!

This was a pretty rough experience. The staff were very helpful but the facilities are just subpar, especially given the nightly rate. Plastic mattress liners poke you while sleeping and rustle around with the slightest movement. The bathroom was on an extremely noticeable slant. The screens in the windows were warped so we couldn’t keep the windows open at night to cool down. Dust and cobwebs were plentiful. We moved across the street for our second night.

Crow’s Nest works in a pinch as a place to stay outside Denali National Park. It is walkable to the restaurants and shops below, but some may find walking up the hill challenging. Some cabins are slanted and we came into a room with a burnt out lamp light bulb and stained pillow. Our scheduled shuttle pick-up was forgotten one day from Denali and we had to catch a ride back from other hotels. We enjoyed the views, the hot tub and sauna, the restaurant on site, and service from a few team members, especially Franklin. I wouldn’t recommend it, but it will do in a pinch.

Cute small cabins. Nothing fancy but nice. Staff was awesome. Incredible view. Nice selection of local beers for sale. There restaurant was outstanding and i would have ate there every night but we love to try new places. Would totally stay there again.

We booked Denali Crows nest because there were not many options available during our stay that were a reasonable cost. I spent 763.28 for 2 nights, but amazingly this was the best price we could find in the area. I assure you, this was absolutely not worth the money spent.
First, upon checking in the attendant did not know how to check us in and asked us to come back later when another employee would be around. This was her very first day. While I don't blame her, the management should not leave her alone if she isn't capable of running the place.
Then, the Wi-Fi would not work in our room. We immediately reported it, but the girl in the office didn't know what to do, and told her supervisor. He came up and tried the same things we tried, but was unable to fix it. I appreciate him trying, but it's ridiculous to have these kinds of problems when I spent this much money on a place. The wifi worked (poorly) while in the lobby, but that's it. To top it off, there's no cable TV in the rooms, so without WiFi, there was nothing to watch. Several other guests had the same complaint while we were there.
Lastly, the area is not very accessible. As far as I could tell, most if not all the cabins are only accessible by going up or down a set of stairs. The staff will assist you with a golf cart if you ask, but I wouldn't recommend this if you have any mobility issues.
The restaurant on the property is nice, and the view was pretty good. The bed was comfortable.

This hotel is still working on upgrading the cabins and we were in an older cabin, and many of the items were in need of an upgrade or just did not work at all. There was an issue with the water on our last day. I will say the staff was very courteous and accommodating when we had issues, but I would’ve appreciated paying less if I’ve known I was gonna be more like roughing it.

Free shuttle service to/from Denali National Park railroad stop. Cozy cabin, ice chest outside for drinks with gratis ice available in reception. Tasty 49th State beer for sale.
Clean sheets and towels, carpet well used.
nice dark out shades, TV mounted, but didn't turn it on. Shower no tub. Lots of steps to climb, but close to other nearby food and shops. The Overlook is excellent place to dine $$. Jan was attentive server. Only a couple miles to Denali National Park via pathways. Bonus bicycles on site that a member of our party was able to ride. Responsive staff, but also a lot going on at registration when we stayed.

Like staying in a mountainside treehouse. Excellent views!

Excellent property with ease to Denali National Park.

At check in the girl couldn’t answer any of my questions and she was way too focused on pushing wine on me.
Also didn’t like having to walk up the steep hill carrying my luggage. No golf cart or anyone around to help me.

The road up to the lodging was is disastrous and too steep. Road was poor condition with loose soil and big loose soil bumps. Stairs were dangerous, room was dark.

There was zero maid sevice. The bed had plastic sheeting on it that crinkled when you slept, leading to terrible sleep. The manager said they inspected the maids work when we first arrived the toilet looked like it had not been cleaned in a month. Nowhere is it noted that you have to climb a mountain to get to your room

When we checked in we asked if we would be able to leave our luggage with the front desk or bellhop since check out was at 11:00 and our train didn't leave until 4:00. First we were told it was fine then the "manager" came over and said it would be $10 to hold the bags and then she changed it to $10/bag. We told her absolutely not and started to walk out and then she yelled to come back and this one time she would wave the fee. It just seemed as though she profiled us to see if should could get extra money from us. The bathroom was not clean and looked like the corners had not been cleaned in a long time. The shower had mold in it. The whole hotel seems to be sliding down the hill. In the room you can tell that there is a large downward slope and it's really weird.
You have to walk up a "hill" in the room. I dropped a small round container on the floor and I couldn't believe how fast it rolled all the way to the door and it hit hard.
Also, keep in mind that this hotel is on a large hill and is nearly impossible to walk from the hotel to the "boardwalk" so you have to wait on the shuttle which only makes trips once per hour even though it's literally only a 2 min drive. Personally I wouldn't recommend this hotel and would stay somewhere else next time.

We chose the cabins in lieu of a hotel and the location and staff were terrific. We were just up the hill from the shops and food "walkway" so we ventured out whenever we wanted. I would have liked a roomier and updated bathroom as it was very tiny and there were quite a few insects and spiders.

While there are not a ton of choices in and around Denali, the place was satisfactory, but very expensive.

internet was spotty but overall a great stay

it's a crappy little hole in the wall with no amenities and poor service. we got there at 5 pm and the rooms were not clean. there is a plastic cover on the bed under the top sheet, I guess in case we pee the bed, really not comfortable. These people get away with this crap cause they make out like its a comfy little cabin in the woods when in reality its a poorly built shack, one on top of the next. NOT recommended.

The place was great- the restaurant was amazing! The only issue we had was no wifi-which is not too big of a deal but we like to listen to the news when we get ready for bed and we couldn't get the tv, phone or laptop to have enough signal to watch the news. But it was not really a big deal!

Convenient transportation from hotel to train station. The hotel is about 800 feet up a steep hill from the main road. You need to be in shape to climb to/from the main road to the hotel.

Unusual to have no housekeeping for four days but whatever we needed er got immediately from the staff at site.
As the hotel wasn’t still fully booked it was very calm and comfortable for us. Our room in the ‚fifth floor‘ had an amazing view to the mountains. If we will ever come back to Denali we will stay here again.

Expedia and Denali Crow’s Nest Cabins management were able to pas the buck back and forth, continually leading me to believe that I would be getting a refund for a visit that I had to cancel, for FIVE months. The inhospitable policy of no refund after booking, even if the cancellation is five months in advance is so shockingly rigid that I let myself be strung along by the two management teams instead of working with my credit card company to cancel payment. Now I have unwillingly made a “donation” of over $1200 to the Denali Crow’s Nest Cabins. I hope it helps their business and their employees.

I have requested for a refund for our stay, as we had a couple problems during the stay. Firstly, on multiple occasions during our stay, hot water didn’t work. To the extent that we had to switch our rooms. Also, in the morning of last day of our stay, there was no water for many hours due to a pipe burst in their facility. And lastly, on multiple occasions, we had asked for cleaning the rooms (clean the trash , and change the towels) but they just forgot to do so.
