This is our second stay at Pump Hill. Great spot. Peaceful. No wi-fi which is perfect when you want to relax and get “off-grid”.

Awesome service by Gwen. Be sure to let her know if you need heating in the room. Location is rustic and authentic back to nature farm stay. Enjoy your forest bathing and get away from city living 🙂

No sighting of office staff at anytime.
Had to visit supermarket to buy fire starter as the unit supplied would not work.
Heating of unit very poor - not enough timber for one night.
Unable to heat bedroom so slept in the lounge.
We had an excellent stay here a few years ago
But now looks very run down and needing an upgrade.
Booked for 3 nights but so cold that we left after first night.

Very run down cottage desperately in need of repairs, especially in the bathroom. BBQ gas bottle ran out of gas halfway through cooking. There was no evidence of cottage being cleaned and dusted before our arrival.
Laundry on site was extremely dirty and untidy.
Even though stated in the cottage manual there was tv reception, we found this not to be the case.

Beautiful property loved the outdoor fire pit and being able to interact with the animals great for families

I liked the rural setting, the piece & isolation even though 5 minutes from town, the log fire, cozy lounges, the cooking facilities to self-cater, strong hot running water, plenty of farm animal life to calm you down, the bird life. just a lovely peaceful retreat.
We were there in a cool springtime but noticed that it's not air conditioned so not sure how cool it will be in the heat of summer, also I wanted to sit outside on the verandah when it rained to watch the birdlife & animals flitting around in it but without gutters on the verandah roof you got splashed with muddy water from the runoff.
No option was given for the second room to have a full-size bed for our friends, so we had to coin toss who got the best room.

A lovely place to bring the kids for some fun with lots of farm animals to feed and cuddle. The farm staff were lovely. Pemberton town is just down the road with lots to explore.

This is an amazing place for families and children especially. A true farm stay where the children are included in everything. Our boys had a wonderful time and Pumphill definitely goes on the list of places we will return to again.

Quiet, calm and surrounded by pet animals. Two peacock used to come every morning.
It was hot but there was no fan or table fan. It woukd be better to keep at least one table fan.

Lovely break away on the farm, Farmer Mark was just lovely, even although it was raining he did the tractor run with kids & adults, gets the kids involved in feeding the animals. Bonus was they got free eggs from the chickens at the end.

There are so many creatures that are all clearly loved and well looked after. They're used to visitors so they're all very friendly. We had a forest view cottage so it faces the horse/cow enclosure so we had a beautiful view and the horses right up to the fence for apples (free fruit/veg kindly on offer at reception for those who want to feed the animals). The cottage itself was rustic and comfortable enough, with a useful kitchen. A couple of tech issues with the TV not working and no wifi at the cottages but the log fire made up for that. It has a lovely country feel but so close to town. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend for families!

We had a really enjoyable mid week break at Pump Hill. This was our first ever farm stay and we thoroughly enjoyed it; we found having farm animals around to be very calming and therapeutic. Accommodation is basic, but clean and functional and suited us to a tee. Very good value for money. The rammed earth construction meant that the cottage stayed cool during the day - although the weather was in general nice and cool during our stay. There are two groups of cottages, one group facing the animal paddock and one looking out across a valley (we would request one of these next time, mainly for the better view). Our visit focussed on exploring the forest area and riding the trails and tracks on Mountain Bikes. The location of the cottages is perfect for Mountain Biking, you ride out of the farm gate, cross the tar road and your are immediately at the top of Mountain Bike park trails. Can't do better than that! Also its a great location for kids in that you are surrounded by the animals and can have lots of interaction with them - ducks waddling across the verandah; donkeys, a couple of horses, alpacas's a goat, a few cattle etc. etc. A brilliant spot for a family weekend. Don't forget your fly nets and repellant - you are on a farm after all. If you want to chill out, there's nothing better than to sit on the verandah, look at the view and watch the native birdlife - fairy wrens, thornbills and rosella's to name a few. Would definitely reccommend this to friends.

Great to take our daughter to experience accomodation that includes interaction with farm animals. Fire barrier was broken and unsafe for a toddler (meant we had to watch her closer than normal). Rubbish bin wasn't emptied from prior guest.

The cottages are quite charming in a rustic kind of way but bear no resemblance to the publicity photo. A bit over priced in my view except that the log fire made the stay very worth while.

Only thing wrong with the trip was the booking wasn't sent through by hotels.com. And they weren't expecting us. But was sorted in minutes. So all good

Stayed at Pump Hill with our 2yo in August 2017. We had a great time! The tractor rides each morning (even in the rain) were exciting and toddler loved seeing the animals, feeding them, throwing hay out of the trailer, and collecting chicken eggs. There was heaps of firewood available for toddler to help collect, chop, and bring inside. The fireplace was great in winter, although we didn't really need it, the cottage was quite cosy anyway. We requested a fireplace barrier which was there on arrival for us - a big playpen, big enough to keep toddler far away from the hot fire. Plentiful warm blankets. Nice neat clean cottage with all cooking utensils, applicances etc. Beautiful location, great scenery, lots to do around town - wineries, tram ride. For older kids the mountain bike tracks look amazing. We will definitely be back!

Great to be able to start up a fire at our very own fireplace in our cottage to keep us warm and cosy. Children were able to get free access to most of the farm animals anytime.

We went with our 4 year old and she had the time of her life. The cottage was quaint and comfortable and had everything we needed but the best part was being on the farm and the interaction with the animals. The morning hay ride is not to be missed and is fun for all ages, I would recommend it whether you have children or not. My daughter screamed with delight on opening the curtains on the first morning (we had a late arrival) and seeing the animals right outside our cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed the local sites, visiting the Gloucester Tree, Cascades, Big Brook Dam, Beedelup Falls and Pemberton town (which is less than 5 mins drive away from the farm).
Overall a great stay and we will be visiting again.

As soon as we drove up the driveway and were greeted by all the animals we were taken a aback by how beautiful it was, the views are gorgeous and idyllic, the cottage was really comfortable and had everything we needed. Close and pleasant walk to town also, highly recommend!

It was nice to get back to the South West, which was made better by the place I had chosen to stay. Pump Hill Cottages are not far from Pemberton town, easy to access and exquisite little cottages. It was lovely to wake to the sounds of the nearby horses and donkeys, to see the ducks and chickens on our way in and out of the property. The cottages are nicely spaced so you are not staying in someone else's pocket. We had a two bedroom cottage, me and a friend, which afforded us a place to socialise with the kitchen/dining/sitting area and private bedrooms where required. The beds were cosy and the whole cottages were clean and tidy.
If you are looking for somewhere to stay, go no further. Thanks for the great place to reminisce in my past

stayed in Forest cottage which was the oldest building on the property which rather showed. However the views over the surrounding farmland were beautiful and we enjoyed meeting the friendly farm animals. The wood stove was also a bonus on a chilly spring evening (especially when the power went out for several hours one evening!)

We had a lovely stay and the cottage was very comfortable. The fireplace added that little extra and was most enjoyable. The cottage was very private and the wild birds as well as all the farm animals made for a very enjoyable stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights. We stayed in Sundew, a loveley rustic rammed earth cottage with 2 bedrooms, sleeping 6, with a large kitchen/dining/lounge area with a coonara heater and small tv. There is wood at the door and an axe! The owner did chop some kindling for us but this is the only form of heating so if you do not stoke the fire overnight, its a bit cool in the morning! The kitchen is well-set up with a large fridge, microwave and oven. Outside there is a carport and a BBQ under cover, also an outside setting under the verandah. The cottage is in a bush style location but not that far from town with a few kangaroos on the property. There are other cottages but they are very spread out. The owners are very friendly.

There for the Pemberton Classic
The cottages are just right for a small group.
The management were polite and accommodating and all went as smoothe as could be.
Really enjoyed it - low key and relaxed.

Everyone from aged 4 to 94 would enjoy staying here. Nice position overlooking fields with plenty of space. Lots of animals from guinea fowl to donkeys and alpacas for everyone to enjoy. The morning feeding of the animals with Dan and a ride in the Hayward was an added bonus. The cottage was very comfortable and well provided for.
