The rental was absolutely perfect in my mind The pool was the perfect temperature & so relaxing! I loved sitting on the bench watching the birds fly over the canal - I even caught a fish I took the kayaks out and spotted a dolphin I went running every day around the 7 mile nature loop and saw all kinds of wild animals The location was phenomenal I topped off the vacation with a manatee swim. When I am back in Crystal River, I definitely plan to rent this house again - phenomenal 10 out of 10!

The house and surrounding areas were perfect for boating, fishing, and snorkeling. The property was very clean and full of great amenities. The dock was perfect for a sizeable boat and the kyaks were a great addition. The location of the canal outlet onto the main river was very convenient and is about halfway between the Gulf and the springs upriver. We will definitely be booking this property again.

We loved the home. Plenty of room for all 6 of us. The kids loved the pool. We ate all meals outside. We rode bikes to the archeological center just around the corner, we kayaked and saw an alligator and a turtle. If we ever head that way again we would choose this home.

The River Bungalow combines functionality with personal touch to make for the most comfortable stay. The house is so easy to settle into and be comfortable. The list of check out items is simple and undaunting. Our family of five visited Crystal River for Spring Break. Our three daughters range in age from 7-18, and this was the perfect destination to find something for everyone. The house afforded ample space to spread out but also an intimate space to forge family bonds and create lasting memories together - something I’m craving more and more as these moments with my soon off to college daughter are fleeting. We enjoyed swimming with the manatees, kayaking down the canal to the river, swimming in the pool, cooking meals together, and exploring some of the local restaurants and shops. We had one rain day, and the Florida Aquarium in Tampa was an easy drive to fill it. Hunter Springs, Fort Island Beach, and Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park provided sights we don’t get in our home beach community in North Carolina. Vanessa was a wonderful host who communicated with us with ease. She prepared her home to anticipate so many of our needs. Extra blankets, plenty of towels, kayaks, bikes, and even toys and treats for the dog were easily found when we arrived. I am so appreciative of all the effort put into this home, and it certainly increases its value. Highly recommend as we would absolutely return, and the bar for a rental has been set high.

The house was very clean, and really enjoyed our stay. The home is well stocked, and the pool was great. Only complaint I would have is the step down into the living room, in which I fell. Need to have some type of warning, and the blinds which are broken should be replaced. Other that those 2 issues the place was great, and I would stay again

We loved the house. Very clean. Launched kayaks from dock in backyard daily. Host thought of small details that made our stay stress and hassle free such as extra propane tanks for the patio fire pit, stocked spices and even several first aid kits.

Had a fabulous time at River Bungalow! Just a couple of glitches but Vanessa was great! Hope to be back next year! PS. The pool was FABULOUS ☺️

This home was so wonderfully decorated & perfectly situated to make an absolutely perfect week! We loved fishing from the dock!! We are already talking of planning another trip to stay here.

Well appointed home in a perfect location nestled just off the main roads in Crystal River. Everything you need for a memorable experience is within a few miles. Fishing, kayaking, nature trails, restaurants, and of course bird watching and abundant wildlife literally at your back door!

This house was perfect for our family! The heated pool was awesome as the weather was in the 60’s. Being able to kayak from the backyard was cool and the house overall was great to stay in. We are definitely thinking about coming back to this property, which would be the first time we’ve ever stayed at a place more than once.

Excellent communication with owner. Question about fire table quickly answered, even at night. Easy breezy check in. The neighborhood is super quiet, comfy beds! The home is decorated with details everywhere. Kitchen is fully stocked. You truly feel like you are on vacation. The kayaks were great. So were the bikes. Walking distance to the archeological park and state preserve. I would recommend this home and hope to be back soon!!!

Great location right next to the state park for us to hike, kayak and go on a manatee tour. Vanessa was prompt in her communication and great to work with. Heated pool was perfect for the kids and the yard was great for the dogs.

Our family of five had an amazing time at the house. The house was very clean and spacious. It had all the comforts of home plus more. I loved how the kitchen cabinets were labeled and everything looked new. The house was decorated for the holidays which made it feel extra special. My youngest loved the heated pool. He spent a lot of time swimming. I enjoyed sitting outside every morning drinking coffee and watching the wildlife. There were 2 otters that would swim by every morning. The neighborhood is very peaceful. We were close to the park and a short drive to restaurants and shopping areas. We brought pocket fishing poles and caught fish off the dock. We tried catching blue crabs but only ended up with one. My husband used one the kayaks and did a bike ride through the state park. It was great having access to kayaks (life vests included) and bikes. This was our first time to Crystal River and we had a great experience. The host was so patient with my many emails and responded quickly with such kindness. I would highly recommend staying here.

This home was quiet, comfortable, relaxing ... Just perfect. We loved using the kayaks and the pool. The neighborhood is very quiet. The house is clean and had everything we needed during our stay. We wish it didn't have to end!

This home was super cozy and had everything you need. The pool water was nice and warm, and the house was super clean. Vanessa was magnificent and was very communicative. It is a great place to stay and see the Manatees.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this property for a quiet family Thanksgiving that included our small dog. We love the neighborhood and taking the kayaks out right from the back yard. Would definitely recommend and hope to be lucky enough to stay there again!

Weather was great . I have seen upgrades at the house . One of our favorite places.

We thoroughly our long weekend at The River Bungalow! We were slightly concerned when we arrived as the AC wasn't working. We contacted Vanessa and Kirk, got an immediant response and within less than 2 hours a service tech had arrived and fixed the problem with the AC! The rest of our visit was wonderful! The house was clean and comfortable. We come to Crystal River every fall for a mini vaca and this was amoung one of the nicer homes we've rented! Thnaks Vanessa and Kirk for a lovely weekend!

Our family of 5 loved our stay here. So many extras like crab traps, bikes, and kayaks provided so much enjoyment. And the heated pool was a huge hit any time of day. Vanessa was so quick to respond with any questions we had. We even had to change our dates last minute and she was super accommodating. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

The house was great for my family, the pool was awesome!!! Quiet area, little far to kayak to the springs but still pretty to go out and paddle. Very clean and everything you need to have a great time.

Perfectly location! A quick boat ride to the springs, gulf and restaurants. This house has everything we needed for a fun filled vacation! Can’t wait to book again.

We loved everything about this house. We have stayed at 4 other locations in CR and this one was the best! Highly recommended- Vanessa was great and the house was fully stocked! We parked 2 boats easily, both trucks and trailers fit side by side in the driveway. Will stay here again! 😀

House was in a great location quite canal with friendly people. Not far from good restaurants and springs to swim in. Grandkids were thrilled to see manatees. Vanessa was a great host and answer any questions we had. Looking forward to coming back in 2024.

This house has an amazing family house layout. Kitchen well stocked. Pool was a huge plus after a long day in the ocean. Owners have decorated and kept the property amenities well kept. On a dead end road so no traffic. Dock is perfect for boat(s). Owner communicates politely and works to make our stay enjoyable.

The owner had everything equipped for us to enjoy our Florida vacation!! We enjoyed the pool and the kayaks and even seen a manatee in the canal one evening!! This is a perfect property to enjoy the wildlife and beauty of the Crystal river area!

The property was clean and nice. There was an unusual odor throughout the residence that made us cut our vacation short (hard to breath inside the residence). Communication with the owner was good one day into our vacation (unable to reach them the first night where we incurred the cost). We incurred significant cost from VRBO and the owner for one night at the residence.

This home is fabulous! The pool is amazing! The host is very generous with stocking little extras. Very quick to reply. The area has so much to offer. We highly recommend this home!

The property is located on a quiet street and is close to downtown and lots of places to eat. The house is very cutely decorated, clean and has a very well-equipped kitchen. The pool was amazing, and heated to the perfect temperature. We spent most of our time out in the backyard sitting and taking in the views, swimming or fishing off the dock. Vanessa was very responsive in all communications before and during our trip. We would highly recommend the River Bungalow, and hope to be visiting again soon!
