We had a good comfortable sleep. There are restaurants that were open late. The hot tub looked ike its never been cleaned and bad smell so we were scared to use it. The little table outside were full of cobwebs so we didn’t enjoy the balcony at all to admire the mountain view

I love this place mainly due to the beautiful surrounding area and open view balcony! I want to come back.

The apartments have lovely views of the fjord and mountains beyond. A small balcony would be great if the weather is nice. Our place was well-equipped with everything you might need in its small kitchenette. I would highly recommend this property!

We stayed for 2 nights and was experiencing severe weather with strong winds and snow sleet. The apartment kept us warm and toasty they even have heated floors. We just scoot out to buy groceries from nearby bonus and cooked in the apartment. And just soak in the hot tub that was perfect! Everything was provided for. On the day we are leaving, the weather didn’t look good at all so I texted them to request for late check out. They were very kind and immediately conceded our request and just asking us to stay safe. We feel warm in the heart. 10 stars for them ❤️

The room is clean, in perfect condition, has everything that you want like fridge, microwave. I appreciate the free washer and dryer. Will definitely stay again.

Very nice place to stay - close to town but not right in the thick of it. We were able to walk through the botanical gardens to town and avoid paying costly parking fees. Our apt. did not have a hair dryer and the office had closed already, but they responded by phone right away and brought me one - all of the staff are very nice and hospitable.

We stayed here for two nights. We took advantage of the hot tub, the view, and the laundry. From here we went river rafting on day, one and zip lining on day two before traveling on the ring road. My daughter was able to walk to town to grab some ice cream without having to take the car and it’s a very convenient location.

Good place to stop over during the ring road as other sites are not to far away. If i did it again I would start here a few nights and drive out to sights instead of along the way as you get better value staying in akureyri.

After the drive from Reykjavik to Akureyri, it was nice to have a place to relax. The unit had a kitchenette with microwave, stove top and utensils. Allowed us to hit the local store to make a dinner. Great shower and pressure. Bed comfortable.

This was the best place we stayed in Iceland. By day 6, we had been traveling long hours to explore as much as possible. The private hot tub was much needed and appreciated! The whole apartment was nice!

Loved the well stocked kitchen & laundry facility on the property. Akureyri is a picturesque city on the north & this property was a good place to stay .

Nice, quiet property. Easy to find. The room is super nice and clean. The full Kitchenette has everything we need. The balcony has a nice mountain view.

This was one of the best stays in Iceland and the location was great as this was my first glance of northen lights from my room. The room was huge, clean and fully stocked kitchen ultlities. I would definitly come back and stay here! 10/10 and I really enjoyed my stay!

There is in suit private hot tub, good cleanness and above average appliances, the only hotel that equips washing machine, shared though. check in and out was easy, although no staff in the evening the room is ready with key in the room.

This hotel had a nice hot tub that is filled and emptied after each guest stay. The hot tub temperature is at approximately 102 degrees (the hottest we found in Iceland). The location was great if you have a car. It was near the botanic gardens. The room was large and spacious. It looks recently renovated. Our biggest complaint was that the drains in the bathroom were backed up in both the sink and the shower. We did not notice until 2000 when the front office was closed. They should regularly check the drains. We had to shower with ankle high back up, which was disgusting. I'm not sure how the cleaning staff cleaned the bathroom without noticing.

Very pleasant stay with spacious room and well provided kitchen wares make our stay very homey, comfortable and relaxed. we would definitely recommend this to our friends!

We arrived 15 minutes before 5 pm (the closing time of the office) and was told by the receptionist instruction for check-in was emailed to me (which I wouldn't be able to check until after check-in). The area is close to downtown, but the complex doesn't look like a hotel.The unit is spacious and has good view from the balcony. It came with some cooking facilities which we didn't use at all. The place was clean and OK enough for a one night stop, but not particularly interesting.

We were very happy. Clearly set up by someone who's traveled - it was one of our favorite accommodations of 8 in total.

Very nice place. The only issue was some noisy plumbing. Water running at times, probably from other neighbors. Thankfully, did not happen at night when we were sleeping.

What a hidden gem! We stayed in Sæluhus Apartments only for one night and I wish we stayed longer. Modern, clean, quiet, with a wonderful shower and a comfortable bed, this studio apartment has all you may need plus a nice view from the balcony. No hassle parking, a 10 min. walk to a supermarket and a pleasant 15 min walk into town through the beautiful botanic garden. We hope to come back one day!

We had a bit of confusion at check in, because the office closed early that day, but Stephen came down right away to help us out. The smaller units share a laundry in the main building, which was a bit tricky to use, but there were instructions to help. The unit was clean, and beautiful. The private patio had a breathtaking view and the hot tub was perfect. I would definitely stay here again

The room was ready for us even though we were early. Everything was clean with all the amenities and services that were advertised, plus there was a great view from our balcony. It would be a good place to stay for several days on a holiday.

We stayed at Saelhus Apartments for the first time. We travel to Akureyri often when visiting family. We stayed in a studio for 3 nights. It was very clean, great location, kitchenette was very usable. I will stay there again when I return to Akureyri.
