Nestled beside the river in the forest. Beautiful. People are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Gorgeous large room with comfortable beds and a really nice kitchen. A wonderful wet room, the shower was exceptional. We also had a fantastic view. The breakfast was excellent. Big thank you to the reception staff who organised last minute onsite ski mobile rides for my children.

At the back of the hotel is a lake which was the perfect spot for Aurora sighting.

Take some time to drive from city centre but environment is good. Staff here are super nice and helpful. There’s no elevator if room is above 1/F.

It was just amazing. The hotel has lots of history and they have honoured this. Lovely walk down to the lake to try catching a glimpse of the Northern Lights.

We had a fantastic stay! Where we got to experience the northern lights by the lake at the hotel. The gentleman was even kind enough to light up a fire for us. Food was delicious! Music was vibe. Felt homely and warm. Definitely would come back again. Also please tell me where you get your mattress from ? Best ever 😊

WE are a Family of 4 and enjoyed the beautifull Landscape at the River. You should Not Miss the Restaurant for Lunch. IT May Not Look impressive but you must try the Hatsipuri and the Pasta of the das ( er Had Shrimps)

Lovely old place dont be put off by the exterior the rooms have been refreshed. Book a ground floor if you dont like stairs. Breakfast was good but restaurant basic. Nice sauna. 20 k from Rovaniemi. You will need a car.In summer some activities are available on site.

Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews more thoroughly. I relied only on the scores alone. A big mistake! Location in itself was not a problem, it's about 20 minutes from city centre but surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. Service is good, but the hotel itself was less than perfect. First and foremost there is NO elevator, soI had to carry a 20 kilo suitcase up to the third floor. Be aware that the hotel is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties as all access is by stairs, including to the breakfast room. Rooms are clean, but the are pretty simple, not soundproof and there is not even a place to put suitcases on. Breakfast is so so but if you want to eat make sure you get there early. At 9:45 and there was no coffee left and no refill, even though breakfast was supposed to be until 10am.

It was perfect place for a stay, away from city but very quiet and peaceful..

The hotel is simpple but very nice. The stuff was friendly and willing to help if needed. Breakfast was also nice. Only thing wich was not so nice was the peperthin wooden walls beetween the rooms. We were lucky because the neighbours did not stay awake too long but, it really felt that they are next to my ears, and we were even using earblugs😁

We stayed in the 3 bed apartment which was amazing, located just 100m or so from the main hotel. It was well furnished with everything you could possibly need with the bonus of your own private sauna. The food was buffet style and even with 2 children with multiple allergies (milk,soya,oats) the staff went out their way to cook anything if there was nothing or limited things for them to make sure they were included. The staff were very accommodating, polite and friendly. We would love to return and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Neat and tidy hotel. Reception is really nice. He let us using the microwave even our room doesn’t have one. Location is alright, around 30 mins drive from the airport

1. Transportation: more suitable for people who drive here. I was disappointed at the beginning because of the transportation issues (one-way in one hour between city center and here，no commute after 18:00). Since I did not drive here so it was quite annoying issue for me. I took the bus all the time and had to pay extra 50 Euro for some tours which normally started and finished in the city center at late night. 2. Perfect living environment Based on the experience on the first day，i feel quite comfortable about almost everything，quiet living environment，friendly working staffs and kindly help for all my needs (booking snowmobile tour and so on) ，super yummy breakfast (bacon is the best in the world!) and the nature outside (frozen river and big tree groups) which makes me feel like living in a fairy tale. Santa Claus Village is a place which is over-commercialized in my opinion，this hotel is standing on the opposite，which gave me some release at least. 3. Sauna is available as well. It is separatedly arranged for women and men according to the time slots. Maybe the time for women can be a litte longer hhhhhh. 4. Every detail in this hotel is amazing. It is a four-star to five-star standard lowkey hotel. I mean not only how clean it is，but also the design of the tollilet，the layout of the room.. When the clean lady saw my own shampoo was gonna be empty，some new ones were put on the holder. I was really thankful for their thoughfulness and that is too sweeeeet.

Beautiful location and not far from the airport and centre. Hotel rooms very spacious, clwan and good facilities. Staff so friendly and helpful. Free parking, free sledges to use. Would recommend and use again

We are second time visitors. Staff is very friendly, breakfast is wonderful, hotel is clean and cozy in a quiet place. The only negative thing I can mention, that there is no elevator and the noise insulation is not the best, but you can find ear plugs in the room. I would pick this hotel anytime. Great value for the money.

The hotel was gorgeous and cozy. The room, bathroom, and all public areas were very clean. The restaurant serves amazing food, and the staff were incredibly friendly. We would certainly stay again.

Loved our stay here, from start to finish! Markku and his staff were lovely and so professional. Place was spotless and lovely warm and toasty. I would recommend having car hire as we had none and taxi are very very expensive. The only down side for us was the breakfast/dinner with being british we found there wasn’t much to cater for us. However everyone else seemed to enjoy it just food that we’re not that used to.
