Very helpful and polite staff

The property was tired and very dated with no expense given for the exterior and the interior looking like the set for Crossroads (one for the kids there). The 3 main components of any stay for me were good though. This was the bed, the shower and breakfast the next morning. On site parking was quite limited meaning my car was parked on the road overnight. The staff were very courteous and accommodating. Overall I was afforded a good night's sleep with a good start to the following day but would rather it be in a different setting.

Dated Hotel, but very good service.

Hotel is a bit run down. The room smells funny, kind of drainy, like the toilet is blocked or something. The floor wasn't particularly clean, had bits of debris on the carpet. Only reason to stay in this one was the hotel I stayed in the night before had no vacancies, similar old building but was cleaner and 60% of the price.

Cheerful hotel, dated but very good service

From the outside this hotel isn't paticularly pleasing on the eye, and inside the hotel is a little dated. However, see past that and yiu will have a very enjoyable stay. This is perhaps the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in and everything in the room yet, which I find often isn't the case, even with 5 star hotels. The breakfast was perhaps one of the best, if not the best I've ever had in a hotel. And when I thanked the owner she confirmed that all the food is cooked fresh fro scratch. The husband and wife owners were vert helpful and even opened the bar 2 hours early just to me. Yes the decor is a little dated and the outside could do with sprucing up, but the service, cleanlinesd and breakfast were 5 star

A decent little place to stay, which I will use again. The owner was was friendly and helpful. Perhaps it's not the most luxurious place I've ever used, but very good value for money.

Hotel was dated but bed was very comfy room was clean and warm , my room overlooked the carpark and I had a quite nights sleep , the car park is well lit

Lovely lady on reception. Room was cold - a 0 degree night and the window was open a bit! Radiator on low struggled to heat room, spent the evening with a hat on. Heating obviously went off in the night as was stone cold in morning. Didn’t want to move. Jacket and hat whilst doing morning emails. Also blood (possibly clean but stained) on duvet. Hairs on wall in bathroom. Basic place, not worth the money or bother

Second visit - friendly, clean & welcoming with a carpark for a big van. Bar was open for a beer after a long day. It's all a weary traveller needs. Nice family run operation.

Nice and quiet place and easy to access

Check in was speedy the lady on reception was very friendly and helpful .plenty parking spaces short walk to reception. Rooms are basic but for the price there adequate if ypu want 5 star pay for 5 star . Food was ok cooked fresh by the owners same with breakfast. Would stay again very friendly people

Inside & out was dated and needed TLC. Most disappointing was there were alot of benefits people staying in hotel. So drunk scruffy, dirty and begging for cigarettes

Family room with 3 single beds. Room cramped. New radiator, but wall behind it had not been repaired from previous one.

Seemed like a refuge for drug addicts and homeless. Police were called, constantly being awoke in the middle of the night by banging and shouting

Staff seemed friendly and nice upon arrival that was the only good thing about the stay We had mould on the walls above the bed some sort of substance on the walls bathroom was not clean and neither was the drawers. Tried to explain to the lady who was cleaning rooms and she just gestured go away would not recommend to anyone. More like a hostel than hotel.

We were keeping an appointment and visiting friends and family. The Columbia was in a good position for this. It was exceptionally clean. The bathroom seemed to have been recently updated. The towels and bedlinen were really good. There was one chair at the desk/dressing table which was worn but adequate. The people running it were very helpful, providing extra milk when requested. We went out for long lunches but spent a lot of time in the room and had a pleasant stay.

We had a lovely stay at the Columbia ,the hotel was located well for what we needed & room was clean &!tidy the only complaint I would say was the breakfast finished at 9 we could of done with finishing at 10 but apart from that it was nice 👌

The best part of this hotel is the family menaging it. Nothing is problematic to them - earlier breakfast, checking in or out at uncommon time. I had unusual request to see Eurovision Song Contest together with my friends (pubs around shows only fotball). I got permision to rearange tv room in the lobby area, so we could watch the concert together. Thank you.

This hotel is dingy, smelly, condensation on the window, stain on bedding. Won't recommend. Terrible experience

Super. 1st class hotel, loveliest bath shower. A first for me away from the more larger corporations of hotels. This hotel is a must, value, cleanliness, a warm calm peaceful snug in Wellingborough. Deserves more good guests 👏

The room had tv and tea, coffe and buscuits, the bed was comfy. A little walk into town with bars and restaurants. Staff friendly and a very tasty breakfast in the morning. Would stay again.
