Was given a complimentary upgrade upon arrival to a suite which was excellent except it had steep stairs and I was travelling with an elderly person. Loved the upgrade but should have been told at the time about the stairs. Was ok, we made it work.
Beach area is lovely with a very large clear view of the lake, very quiet and very much enjoyed sunrise and sunset sitting on Muskoka chairs on the dock.
Could do a better job of removing spider webs at beach house entrance, and the weeds and bird droppings around the beach and docks, there was no remote for the bedroom tv or the gas fireplace, neither of which we used but were perplexed as to where they could be.
Beautiful, quiet setting, easy good highway driving to both Port Carling and Bracebridge. Golf course across the street we did not use but it is just beautiful, pristine!
Very much enjoyed this property and would return.

Good location in Muskoka, but very hilly to walk from the beach area to the infinity pool and again to the dock areas. Pools are very small. Water activities don’t start until things are unlocked after 8am. Sad because the water is so calm earlier in the morning. Food selection is okay, but did make me violently ill after dinner. Nothing is open until noon for food and if you want a muffin and coffee for breakfast you better be there when they put them out at 8am. They do not have enough for everyone. Best to bring your own chairs too if you are in the standard rooms. You won’t have room for it inside but there is a small deck facing the parking lot, but nice enough to sit and have breakfast or drinks.

Loved this resort we spent a few nights in the beach house it was right on the water overlooking the pool and lake. The beach was clean and having a pool beside it made it a bonus.My family absolutely loved it and we will be back next year.

Property grounds and our room were nice and clean. Our main criticism was that we found the menu quite limited and somewhat overpriced considering it was “average” (3 stars) tasting food. We were expecting 4 stars for the food. Spa service was 4 stars.

Beautiful property with some of the best views in Muskoka. The trees need to be pruned back to give more rooms water views. Nice 1bedroom unit, great shallow beach for kids and deep water off the swim dock. Disappointed that the restaurant didn’t serve any breakfast, bit of a pain to go into town. Otherwise great stay!

Touchstone is an amazing relaxing getaway for anyone thinking of exploring Muskoka over the summer or winter period. The staff were lovely, helpful and easy to deal with.

The location is great but the standard room was very small and with no shears on the windows you have to keep the curtains closed or have everyone walking by looking into your room. Also wish there were chairs on the porch to add a seating area.

We had a lakeside view in the beaches section. There was a pool, hot tub, large beach with shallow sandy water and kayaks and canoes. Also Tennis and Pickleball court. Pretty much everything a family could enjoy on a vacation including a barbeque. My only complaint is they don't have anywhere to lock up bicycles so we had to leave ours on the bike rack attached to our vehicle. You'll have to drive to find any hiking trails.

We had a pleasant experience at the property.
The property was well maintained and the facilities are good ( pool area, nice dock for reading, sauna, hot tub, etc). The room we stayed was also quite good ( spacious, clean, comfortable bed). The only thing we would not recommend is the restaurant. We found it way overpriced and the portions were way too small.

Rooms were clean. Kitchen was well appointed. I wish I had brought salt & pepper, sugar, cream/whitener but otherwise we did not cook. We did bring some supplies with us. Town of Bracebridge was quite close (8 mins?). Bob's Bar down by the water does not open until July - oddly. Parking seemed to be reserved for all other blocks of rooms except ours (Boat House West), which caused some concern as to where to park, every time we came back to the resort from a trip. This seemed to be a easy fix - not sure why they don't do it. Rooms do not have a bidet - also, easy fix. The grounds are very nice, and lake view (from decks) is beautiful. Can't see much at all from the rooms, as there is a line of trees across the shore.

We visited in May 2024 when the weather was still a bit cool. It wasn't busy at all; there were only five cars in the parking lot. The resort has a restaurant with an expensive dining experience, but the food was worth it. However, visiting in July might be a different story. We loved the gym, and there were only two of us using it at that time.

Lovely stay on Lake Muskoka with so many amenities. We enjoyed sunbathing on the large deck at waters edge, while others swam, used the free kayaks or canoes. Two swimming pools were also available. Dinner in the Touchstone Grill was excellent.

Property was very pretty and well maintained. The amenities were very nice as well! Fantastic main lodge restaurant with great service. Rooms were not that clean, need some major upgrades. We stayed in the boathouse rooms, they have carpet throughout, gross. Also, I wasn’t a huge fan of the shared patio. Spa services weren’t worth the price in my opinion. Overall good stay.

Wow! This place had a fantastic view from the deck facing the lake. The sun set behind us, illuminating the cottages on the lake. We had a beach with a dock and 4 chairs, as well as an outdoor pool (not yet open as of May long weekend). Still quiet at this time, but I’m sure would be busy with families in the summer. Suite cam with many amenities, comfy. We had dinner at Touchstone grill and were quite pleased. We we able to sit on the deck and enjoy the views from there. Overall, it was quite a nice stay for 2 nights and had lovely conversations with other guests. Fully recommend. Cheers!

My only 2 suggestions is to have coffee available for customers in lobby since it doesn’t make sense to use a full coffee maker for one coffee. Or replace with single type coffee maker.
Also have the towels available at the pool VS the front desk. Other than that LOVED the resort!

Front desk lady Sam was welcoming. The apartment was very quiet and clean and fully equipped. Just landscape in the back and front needs improvement. I recommend this beautiful place to visit and stay
