After a second try we ended up with a quiet, comfortable room in the back that was more like a small one bedroom apartment. That one was facing a beautiful garden.
However, the first one was facing a busy street and it would have been impossible to get any rest there with the tram tracks under the window. The building was originally built as an apartment building and it was converted into a hotel several years ago. There’s also an additional building in the back facing the garden that is more quiet than the main one.
The breakfast waitress was very unpleasant and made it difficult to have a good start to the day. There wasn’t much variety to the breakfast.
The photo above with a great chandelier is very deceptive!

Die Mitarbeiterinnen waren super nett, das Zimmer außergewöhnlich schön. Alles sauber, das Bett bequem und groß, der Innenhof wunderschön und das Frühstück vielfältig und lecker

Alles! Personeel is uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Accomodatie was super goed en op een mooi centraal gelegen plek. Ontbijt is zeer goed en er is veel keuze. Hotel kamer is ruim en schoon!

Behulpzame en aardige gastvrouw. Een heerlijke kamer met een balkon aan de binnentuin. Een heerlijk ontbijt iedere ochtend met ruime keuze. De aanwezigheid van fietsen maakte het verblijf helemaal geweldig. We hebben 3 heerlijke dagen gehad in Berlijn.

Beautiful old building with a lot of character. Everywhere was very clean and the inner courtyard was so peaceful despite the hotel being on a major road. The location is excellent as it’s a 15 minute walk from the Berlin Hauptbahnhof and well connected with trams and buses too. Also within walking distance of the Reichstag. The breakfast was in a small space but still managed to have a wide variety of items. The breakfast staff very quickly restocked any items that were finished. Lovely calm atmosphere too and quiet at night. We had a coffee machine and kettle in our room which I like. Some rooms don’t have a lift so if that’s an essential I recommend checking first.
I didn’t realise that there wasn’t 24 hour reception as I usually have that added to my filters.

Very closely located to the main station, friendly staff, elevator, spacious room.
Without ear plugs you cannot sleep at night if you have the cheapest room category because the room is directly to the Main Street. Expect quite some noise at night. When you close the windows it becomes quite hot. So you are lost in an infinite loop of sweating versus cooled air with lots of noise.

The hotel was beautiful - my room was spacious and comfortable and the courtyard a welcome haven after a busy day walking around the city. A lovely place to relax and curl up with the friendly hotel cats

Very helpful and friendly staff. The outside garden is beautiful! The breakfast was delicious.
I’m allergic to cats and there was two that were everywhere on the property (even though the cats were friendly).

- The eponymous garden is well-tended, tranquil and pretty, even in winter.
- The room is traditionally and tastefully decorated.
- The bathroom featured convenient and useful facilities in good working condition.
- The kitchen was very fully featured.
- Unfortunately the room was substantially colder than comfortable. This, I believe, was attributable to the natural gas crisis. Thus, while I certainly do not blame the staff of the hotel, I did not enjoy this aspect.
- There was a large swath of cobweb in the corner of the ceiling of the bathroom. I would expect this to be noticed and cleaned at this price point.

It is a very pretty renovated hotel with nice size rooms or apartments. The rooms are quite nicely decorated and the bathroom was small but nice too. The breakfast was good and this place must be very cozy to visit in summertime with their small backyard. My room had a small balcony which was nice. I found my stay quite pricy but apparently the prices had gone up pretty much

Location is very convenient
I think attitude towards supporting guests requests could be more guest friendly. I had to often work from my room (as explained when I checked ion) and the Internet didn't work properly all week long. Videocalls very often interrupted by lack of connection and line. At the requests the only answers were "we can't do much", that for an hotel that is in the Berlin city center and cost more thank 250€/night (without even having 24hrs reception) doesn't sound very attempt to guests needs. Or at least that's my opinion. Internet connection is like water pipes in my mind. PS Btw internally, where my room was, it was difficult to have also my usual cell connection.

The location, the big rooms and the staff

Breakfast was a well stocked buffet with a good choice of cereals, fruit, yogurts, eggs, bread, meats and cheeses. Juices along with mineral water, tea and a coffee machine were available for drinks. Each morning there was a fresh selection of food including cakes to finish off your meal.
There was nothing. We had a great time and enjoyed the hotel our comfortable accomodation and the exceptionally friendly staff. We are looking at returning next year.

Beautiful room, wonderful breakfast, and incredibly helpful staff. The garden setting was amazing, and really was a tranquil oasis in the city. A great place to come and relax/unwind after our days of exploring Berlin. Highly recommended.

good location , friendly and helpful staff
there is kitchen without equipment ( kettle and microwave is there - no pots ) so you can’t really use it . if you want to open the windows , noise from a street is big ( our room had street facing windows). no AC.

Warm welcome from the team on site, helpful and friendly at all times. Room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast fresh and tasty - typical European affair, nice :-)
Easy to confuse with it's similarly named sister hotel - however less than 5 minutes walk between. More my fault than theirs.
WiFi not great, it worked - but a bit slow for office/work activities - so presume it'll be unusable for any kind of streaming (Didn't try!)

we loved the spacious rooms and garden access. we especially loved the receptionist Lisa who was outstanding in her efforts to help us plan the next part of our journey. she was kind smart and effective. Thank youbLisa

The heaven room facing the garden was lovely, very spacious and comfortable and stylish. The location is excellent, 20 mins walk from Hauptbahnhof, 3 mins walk from the underground, very central and yet a garden oasis at the rear of the hotel to enjoy a relaxing breakfast. Eat walk to many restaurants and points of interest
We originally booked a standard room on the road side not realising that it would be so noisy . We were lucky to be able to change to a much better room after the first night which was well worth the extra 20 euros/ night. I would definitely recommend visitors who find sleeping difficult with traffic noise to book a garden facing room
