Good location for an overnight stop to Italy and friendly staff
Good breakfast.
Very expensive for what it was.

Nice stop to see the swiss passes. Simple, but clean. It’s a travelers hotel, not for families. Staff was nice, the breakfast was simple also, but good.
Wi-fi not available in the room, but not really important for us since we only spent there one night.

A delightful stay in a lovely Swiss village with old fashioned hospitality. We appreciated the older style bar, breakfast room and common area accommodations, while our room was modern and clean. Our host was more than happy to serve us drinks and provided a set table for us so that we could eat our take away pizza. Great parking for our bicycles in the bike room, complete with bike tools and a pump.

Breakfast and location was good
Reception did not have any information on open restaurants nearby and sent us to Andermatt although one was open nearby. Own restaurant was closed.

The staff is very helpful, they did an effort to correct some mistake done while booking. The room is small and basic but clean. Breakfast was quite generous.

the dinging or living room was very cosy and the lamps on the ceiling were nice.
The wooden cover of the walls is very simple; the bed, made of the same wood, was al right.

Beautiful village. less than 10 minutes walk from village station.
Very poor value-very expensive even for Switzerland. This is a hostel not a hotel. Narrow single beds more suitable for children. Room was clean but extremely basic. No chairs to sit on in the room we were given. The ground floor sitting area was in darkness.

Frederick and his team took great care of our family during our stay. Easy to access Andermatt using the free bus.

Stuff is friendly, and breakfast was good, but it was of season so I think you have more to choose from when it is the proper season. The room was very clean.

The lodge is in the most spectacular setting. Our beds were very comfortable and breakfast was good. The owner was extremely helpful

Some things were basic e.g. just two towels and two sachets of soap, Breakfast was a bit basic too for the price. Hospental is not any kind of location compared with Andermatt.

The location is good if you are crossing the alps or if you are mountain biking or hiking. Breakfast was good but not outstanding considering the price.
We didn't realise that we arrived on a rest day for staff (many local hotels were also closed that day) and this resulted in what was apparently a shortage of staff. Our room was not ready at the agreed time so we went to the only hotel in the village which was open for a drink for an hour and a half. With hindsight, I cannot fully understand why this wasn't offered to us at the lodge although it is quite possible that there was only one person on duty at the time. The man on duty was very pleasant and grateful for our cooperation but I do think that something could have been offered by by way of recompense!
