The cabin was a newer studio setup with a King bed and a pullout sofa. The great thing about the cabin is that it is right in the middle of town - once parked by the room, I don’t think we moved our car once. The sleeping arrangements were exactly what we expected - a comfy King bed and a pull out couch that my 6yo seemed to enjoy. The difficulty is that with the studio setup, there really isn’t seating to just hang out in the room in the evening. The sofa is really setup only for sleeping (otherwise you’re seated in a sofa, staring at a wall) and the desk and chair are really only setup up to be facing the wall. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed the cabin. Next time, we’d ask for the same place and just bring our portable camp table. I think that could work out enough to make everything just the right size.

This place is perfection - the service is truly unbeatable, they are so authentic and helpful and our cabin was a 1934 original that kept all its charm and "bones" but was upgraded for every comfort with luxury beds and kitchen and bath fixtures - the location is perfect and the price was way less than I think they could charge for a place this nice - would give them more stars if i could.

I had an amazing experience in the Creekside Cabin, all the possible amenities we could've needed were all here! The two ladies at the front desk were so nice and very helpful throughout my stay. Creek side trail that leads to the center of town (10min walk to town on the side walk). Common area was very cozy and had a very warm feeling, the outside court yard was clean and included some benches, swing and a gazebo! Definitely recommend staying here for your next get away.

I liked how quite this room was. I also liked that each room is unique and has alit of character and it is very close to the main shopping area.

I loved that the property is surrounded by so much nature, yet I was just a few feet distance from town, or as I like to think of it, civilization! I liked everything about this place, but if there was anything to dislike it would be that our visit took place during the a hot summer month and our cabin didn't have an AC unit. Thankfully, they did provide fans!

Our checked in to the Idylwild Inn was fast and the staff was very nice and polite. They let us be there earlier than 3:00pm. We stayed in the Strawberry Creek Inn, which is about haft a mile away but the place is very well maintained. There is a big patio with nice furnitures. The hotel has cabins and they are surrounded with big pines. All the rooms are air conditioned and each one is decorated in different style. We were in Evergreen room with bath tub and separated shower. Fireplace with ready logs, refrigerator and coffee maker. Nice and relaxing stay.

It was okay. My room didn’t get serviced for the days I was there when it said in the binder housekeeping is a certain time. The bed frame was broken and some of the drawers were loose.

Some may say that the Accommodations were shabby, but to me it was like being at home. I lived in Idyllwild many many years ago. The cabin was Rustic and true to authentic Idyllwild. Clean cabin, clean bedding. Quiet at night, but if you want to catch a little music you can sit outside and hear music from the businesses around town center. Staff was amazing!

Nice comfortable place, idyllic location

This cabin was the cutest! It was the perfect for our quick weekend getaway. It was just a short easy walk to the town. All of the staff we so kind and helpful. The cabin was clean when we arrived and check in was super quick and easy. I would love to return here sometime!

We had a lovely stay at the Idyllwild Inn. The cabin far exceeded our expectations and the staff was super nice. We loved how close it is to everything in town and how quiet and safe it felt at night. We will definitely be coming back!

There were ants everywhere, especially by the faux fireplace, WiFi was down and we couldn’t watch anything on second day idk what network it was connected to. The fire alarm kept chirping just as we were falling asleep because of low battery. At one one point the door handle came off the like the turning portion and my partner reconnected it. We told them we needed to switch the card on file and to use the new card on file but they thought we were just using it add another payment on file which we explained again we need to charge the new card on file. They said someone would reach out it’s been several days and no one has reached out. We weren’t even at the hotel most the day but to actually stay at the inn all day would have no been fun. Also no hot water for tea or etcs. Or spoons or forks.

Very beautiful place. We loved our room for the weekend! We will be returning!

Staff is amazing! Very kind and helpful, even carried our bags up the stairs for my elderly sister and I. Highly recommend! Very clean and comfortable rooms as well.

The experience at Strawberry Inn in Idyllwild, CA leaves a lot to be desired. The rooms were small (we paid for 2 rooms). The plug wasn't working at 1 if them. There were no fridges. We switched from Oak view to Mountain View (each room had their own name) for just our first night. This room was just what we needed. King bed with a fridge BUT the toilet didn't flush at first, was backing up. These issues were resolved that night fortunately while we were out meeting friends for dinner. The bathroom doors would stick. Alexis was somewhat helpful but we found Tanesha to be lacking in customer service. We asked for a fridge as we had medication to keep cool. However nothing was available after asking the manager. Also she gave us a hard time while we were transitioning back to our original room after Alexis said as long as we moved out by 11am into the nextdoor room. The beds were comfy and air-conditioning worked well but we will not be staying here next time. Improvements needed please because so few of our boxes for service were checked!!

Bed and pillows are great! TV huge! Big room and very clean. Would suggest black out blinds asap for all windows as outside lights were shining very bright into room all night which led to a rough nights sleep. Also jacuzzi tub unusuable as water would not stay in tub. Needs repairs. Also would add extra lighting to bathroom mirror area as it is very in bathroom. Add these few features and you will be 5 star!!

Excellent location in the mountains and yet close to the main square in the city. Lots to do within walking distance. Friendly staff too! Only one issue…. NO AIR CONDITIONING. And you need it up there big time to go to sleep.
