No fitted smoke alarms. Crack in glass of log burner. TV not working. Got my son to change the gas bottle for the heating which is totally inappropriate. Historical thick cobwebs on windows and other parts of the house. Logs provided for log burner insufficient and not of good quality. Plus too frightened to use it with the crack in the glass.Communication with host difficult as she did not answer phone

Rural location nice and quiet. Central to visit places in both England and Wales. Everything we needed in a holiday home.

The Stables is an unusual accommodation in that it is a lovely “Cottage Style” separate building in a farm setting. Very quiet and perfect for a few nights stay. Apart from the basic but comfortable bedroom there is a nice bathroom, lounge and small but adequate kitchen - think comfortable Youth Hostel style accommodation ! Phil & Fran (hosts) were very friendly and helpful. Need to supply own food needs but some scones, butter and clotted cream available with your visit - a Nice Touch - thank you.

Most things were as expected but the TV (okay for Channels 1 & 2 but No 3 - important given the Rugby World Cup transmitted on ITV !

Good, spacious holiday home for family of three.

A few minor maintenance issues but these are being addressed.

Lovely wee cottage, had everything we needed. Great location easy access for both the forest of Dean and the Wye Valley. Family on the farm, were great people loved meeting the horses it's obvious just how well cared for they are. Would definitely recommend visiting, was sorry to leave as had a brilliant time.
