It is probably impossible to find an apartment in a better location. In the beautiful old section of the city, literally steps from Bracciano's famed castle, in a former 15th Century Convent, on the second floor (American storeys), one short flight up from the ground. The apartment itself is spacious and beautifully appointed, with books and photographs and beautiful furniture -- it really feels like someone's home. You walk into a foyer, and can see the living room (with fireplace) and terrace beyond; then there's another room, a bathroom, an enormous eat-in kitchen (with great appliances), and then the master bedroom with walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom. Then, upstairs, there's 2 more bedrooms and another half-bath. And did I mention there's a beautiful terrace with views of the river? You're right above incredible restaurants, too (and the noise from them isn't too bad).
The owner of the apartment was incredibly responsive, friendly, and helpful. She gave me a tour of the place and then left me alone for the month.
I really cannot say enough good things about this place. By all means consider it if you have a large group of people -- it could probably sleep 10 or more, at a pinch. I adored my time in the apartment -- it was tranquil, gorgeous, clean, and utterly welcoming.

The apartment is centrally located, with all the shops and restaurants within a quick walking distance. It is just a short 10 minute walk from the train station, making it easily accessible for those who are traveling by rail.
All of the recommendations from the host were excellent. We took the train into Rome and spent a day there. So much to see yet it was quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay there again.

Our family of four had a great time at this charming apartment in beautiful Bracciano. The apartment had plenty of room to spread out. There’s a nice balcony with a view of the lake and the 15th century streets. Bracciano is an ideal location. Not crowded, lots of wonderful restaurants, boutiques and the lake is clear and great for swimming. It’s an easy 1 hour train ride to Rome and a great respite from the bustling, crowded city. Marina is a gracious, kind and helpful host.

Property is spacious and we loved the balcony. We had just finished 10 day tour so pretty tired. It was a perfect place to rejuvenate. We loved being so close to the castle, it's a must see and made our way to the lake for lunch.

Spacious apartment with comfort
Marina is a friendly, and kind host. Whenever we contacted her or needed advice she responded quickly and was most helpful.
The apartment is spacious, clean, and just as advertised online. Even with 6 adults, there was plenty of room. It is full of character and personal touches.
To have the balcony was such a bonus, giving views of the town, across the countryside and a bit of the lake.
A truly comfortable place to stay.

A very nice and comfortable flat ….it is more personal ….like your own home. Unsusual...high ceilings and beams make it very cosy. Great location near the castle and near all the bars and restaurants. Couldn't have wished for a nicer place to stay.

A very straightforward process of booking. The owner, Marina, was very helpful in organising transport. The area was easily accessible to public transport and the facilities in and around the main square excellent. It was very hot! Upstairs in the property. There is likely to be reasons for this due to the age of the building. Nonetheless a really enjoyable stay and a beautiful area.

Meant to do this last Summer and forgot!...... Sorry Marina! Our 2018 stay was fantastic. The house is amazing and Marina so helpful and location fantastic . Lots of lovely places to eat out near by . Very close to the railway station which was great, buy your tickets in the cafe on the platform for family days out. Parking is best done overnight at the car park with the barrier at Via S . Antonio, costs 1 euro per visit no matter how long .Huge house for a large family and kitchen was great in accommodating us all.Enjoyed our holiday so much.

This apartment was just beautiful and was one of our favorites on our trip to Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. It is spacious and there was room for each one in our family to have our own space after each day of sightseeing. I loved sitting on the balcony each morning, enjoying seeing the activity in the narrow street below. There is also a view of the water in a nearby town. The apartment was tastefully decorated and had the charm you would hope for in a medieval building.
The location is also fantastic. We enjoyed stepping out our door and having a variety of restaurants and shops within minutes. We also enjoyed visiting the nearby lake town, Anguillara. This location was also great for hopping on the train to Rome, a 45 minute to hour trip.
Marina was very helpful in helping us plan our train trip to Rome, giving us suggestions for side trips, and ideas where to eat.
Overall, this was a wonderful place to stay and I highly recommend it!

This is a lovely apartment in a medieval town, very close to a wonderful castle. Very short walk to a choice of restaurants and bars. The apartment itself is an old convent and is atmospheric with wooden ceilings and a very well fitted modern kitchen. The area is convenient for Rome either by car or by train (although we did not try the train there is a station in Bracciano with a service to Rome and the owner has left instructions as to which stations to go to in Rome. There were attractions outside Rome too- amazing number of well preserved Roman ruins. If you love history this is the place to go. We also had a day on the beach so there is something for everyone. Slight downside is the noisy plumbing in the upstairs toilet and the house martins will wake you if you are upstairs at about 7am (maybe not later in the season as I think they were nesting in the roof). Free parking is a short walk away but we got used to it. avoid the man who drags you into his cheese and ham shop (physically), you will end up spending a lot of money! Marina is very helpful and was kind weeny husband managed to lock us out by leaving another key in the door on the inside. We texted her and she had it fixed whilst we were out. Overall one of the best holidays we have had.

Voisimme palata vaikka uudestaan.

This is my favourite ever rental. A spacious, elegant and comfortable 4 bedroom apartment, fully fitted with all modern conveniences in a medieval building beneath a historic castle, alongside a traditional Italian Piazza, with a helpful and attentive host. How can it be better?
The communications with Marina were excellent when organising our stay, and she arranged Taxis to and from the airport. The apartment is on the 1st floor of a converted convent, below the famous Castle. Actually, it is 2 apartments joined, and is beautifully and elegantly furnished. It also has a balcony overlooking the street.
Marina greeted us when we arrived, showed us the apartment and presented us with a bottle of prosecco. Knowing we had taken an early flight, she was able to allow us in before 4:00pm, for which we were extremely grateful.
Bracciano is a joy - an hour outside of Rome, with Castle and lake, it is an unspoilt medieval gem. On the day we arrived, there was a medieval fayre in the piazza, and the smell of roasting chestnuts and traditional music filled the air. The lake is nearby, but is a 20 minute walk down a very steep path - and was a challenge to get back. There did not appear to be a shuttle, so only try it if fit.
This is perfect for exploring the local area. We did not hire a car, but there is a regular half hourly train service into Rome, with stations en route close to the main attractions. The cost of the train into Rome (around an hours journey) was only 3 euros.
My only watch out for would be renters is that this might not be suitable if you have mobility issues, as it is on a hill and up steps. Other than that, I can absolutely recommend the apartment on every score.

We would highly recommend Il Convento apartment. It is spacious, tastefully decorated, full of character and in a prime location next to the castle at Bracciano. Also handy for various restaurants. It was a bonus to have a small balcony in such a historic building. Marina, the owner, was a great host and quick to respond to booking enquiries. Hope to return one day!

What a great place to stay!

Urlaub in Bracchiano
Super Lage, Der See ist in der Nähe, tolle Aussicht, 1h vom Meer was will man mehr! Grazie Bracchiano!!

We recently spent 5 days in this lovely apartment. We had arranged a time to meet and were met by Marina and her daughter who had the apartment perfectly prepared for our arrival - even a bottle of cold Prosecco in the refrigerator.
All of the linens were freshly done and plenty of fluffy towels were available. The apartment has been recently updated with a modern kitchen and a lovely shower and was spotless. More than we could have imagined.
Parking the car was a tiny challenge - there is a pay by the hour parking in the nearby piazza or a paid garage several blocks away, but we found a free city lot where most of the workers park about a ten minute walk away that was perfect.
There are several supermarkets nearby to choose from, a nice deli just down the street and many, many restaurants within easy walking distance.
It is such a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Rome, yet so easy to get to the City by train or to drive out to the coast to see the Etruscan finds at Tarquina and Cerveteri.
Spend sometime walking and enjoying this most relaxing city.
Highly recommended!!

Schöne Wohnung in idyllischem Provinzort nahe Rom

Beautiful apartment in medieval Bracciano
We booked this apartment for a family reunion recently and had a magical week in Bracciano! We ate , talked and relaxed in the comfort of the apartment which was tastefully furnished with beautiful rugs and lovely old pieces of furniture. We also ate out in some lovely local restaurants, we spent a morning visiting the castle, we swam in the lake on our daughter's birthday and we had two day trips into Rome, easy accessible by train from the local station. It was lovely to return to this beautiful apartment at the end of the day and enjoy it's comforts . We would love to go back someday!

Traumhaftes Domizil

The best holiday apartment we've rented
Our party comprised: myself aged 73, my wife aged 75 and our daughter aged 43. The apartment is spacious with excellent bedrooms and pleasant public rooms, includung a vast kitchen, attractive lounge, a study and a terrace. It is well -equipped for cooking, eating, and relaxing; the wifi gives a good, speedy connection; and there is a splendid library if you can read Italian. There are many elegant pieces of furniture which enhance the visitor's experience. Given that we arrived in late winter, we were delighted to find that it was warm and very comfortable
In addition, the apartment is placed in the historic centre of the town, near the castle and the Duomo, surrrounded by good eating places, and near the shops. .
Bracciano and its lake are not well-known outside Italy, but the area is beautiful, unspoiled and very welcoming, as is our hostess, Marina, who gave us her best attention from first contact to last. We hope to return.

Modern luxury in old world Italy
This apartment offers all the comfort and conveniences of modern living while still retaining the old world charm befitting its location. With excellent links to Rome and the surrounding areas by both car and train, it is an ideal location for those who want to experience real Italian living, those who wish to travel/explore or those wanting to soak up the sun and relax by the nearby lake. The accommodation lives up to expectations and more - spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished and ideally situated in the heart of the old town with an abundance of excellent restaurants and shops on your doorstep. Marina, the owner was charming to deal with and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this apartment and location and hope to return.
