A good place to stay in if you’re in wanaka

Lodge is great for group bookings with shared kitchen & lounge. Rooms are self contained if you just want privacy.

This property was not ready to be advertised for rent when we checked in. There was absolutely NO furniture to sit on - no chairs, no sofa absolutely nothing - I had to sit on the floor. I mentioned this to the front desk person and she said that the furniture is on order and they’re awaiting its arrival. In that case, it should be clearly stated in the advertisement of property description, that there’s nothing to sit on or more fairly the place should not be advertised for rent at this time.

We were greeted by lovely ladies who went beyond their duties to make our stay even better. Their suggestions for activities and restaurants and help with reservations was incredibly nice. The room could have used a chair but other than that, it was clean and had what we needed. The location and the proximity to Wanaca wa perfect.

Hotel room is new. Bed is comfortable. Room is upstairs and quite basic.

Handy stores on site including a great bakery and small supermarket. Easy walk by the Clutha River near by.

Everything you need right here in this little enclave a 15 minute drive from central Wanaka. There's a grocery store, a laundromat, a pub which serves good grub and a liquor store. The place was well kept and the staff were very happy and friendly. Recommend for a night or two. Good value for money.

We felt this was too expensive for what was on offer. yes a brand new fresh apartment, but very basic indeed. No toaster, cutlery, milk or chairs to sit on. Had to sit or lie on the bed, which isn't really great unless you want to sleep! The very friendly Canadian receptionist was excellent and very helpful indeed. She is an asset to your business.

One of the best stays I had during these holidays. Absolute helpful and positive staff. Check in and check out was so easy. Would love to visit again.

This property was not what we expected at all. It’s a very small sterile room with an adequate bathroom There’s a door out to the communal space where there are couches and a big kitchen Unfortunately, there’s a lot of noise coming from the communal space sometime into the evening hours But worse than that the noise from the exhaust system in the bathrooms was awful The bathroom light exhaust fan was left on when the last people moved out and so was on all night and vibrated our bed so we had to wear earplugs. We switched around, so our heads were not against the wall, even and that made the sound a little better. When people turn on the light exhaust in the bathroom next-door, it will wake you up. It’s that loud. The place is clean and next to the walking trails along the river so that’s nice and there’s a liquor store right next-door, and a wonderful French bakery that has the best rolls and croissants. I’ve had my whole trip.

Arrived after normal check in time, instructions were sent to us with parking, key lock box location and code. Easy and straightforward. Simple room with refrigerator, bed, shower and toilet. Cooking and eating area with lounge area is shared. Very quiet area. Small grocery store and other stores at front. Would recommend, especially for younger people.

Did not realize it was a lodge but very clean and great kitchen.

Excellent accomodation although a little cramped. Communal area was perfect. I would certainly stay again Some things to work on: 1) Air con. The fan was insufficient given the direction of the sun. Communal area nice and cool. 2) Better communication in regards to bond withholding. Can be a problem when staying at multiple places 3) Promote communal food storage with signage in rooms and kitchen.

Good accommodation if all you need is a bed and a shower. Expensive for just that. Great having a pub, grocer, bakery and bottle store next door.
