House was perfect for a family getaway and was centrally located for excursions to the surrounding sites and cities. House was just as depicted in the photos with lots of open space and bedrooms. Clean, comfortable and well appointed. Especially enjoyed the back patio with lots of birds to enjoy. The hosts were very responsive and provided lots of brochures and literature about the nearby attractions, stores and restaurants. Looking forward to our next visit to the Starry Nights house.

After a little glitch, entirely my fault, the condition of the property was excellent. I would have preferred a different location due to the condition of the road. We had no issues with the home and had a great time in Ft. Davis and the surrounding are.

This is a great property for families. 2 acres on a rural road and a couple of quiet porches to enjoy the gorheous open sky. Fort Davis is a small town so everything is just a few minutes' drive. Fully stocked and comfortable, with artistic touches throughout the home that make it feel warm and inviting. Excellent showers and kitchen appliappliances. Wi'fi and a TV for those that don't want to completely disconnect. All in all, a very comfy stay!

The home was very clean! Loved the space to spread out within the home. Also the porches and patio were great to start and end the day admiring the sunrises and sunsets. Kitchen was very easy to work in and around everyone. Best of all the location was so convenient to all the Davis Mountain area.(Ft Davis Historic Site, Davis Mt. State park, McDonald Observatory, Marfa and Alpine) Had awesome cell phone coverage. Being close to Lowe's Grocery store was a bonus. Host was the best!!!!!!!

We stayed for 4 nights, 5 days in Ft. Davis and had a fantastic time! There were 3 kids, 4 adults, and we had plenty of space for everyone. I really appreciated the extra bedding and towels...some places can be chintzy on towels, but not here! The open floor plan was great for meals and hang out. There was a small fan that was a fabulous white noise maker to help drown out any additional noise for kids' nap times, etc. It was well-stocked, and my tiny explorers enjoyed the 2 acres and fire pit! Highly recommend visiting Ft. Davis National Historic Site; we spent two days there enjoying the gorgeous hiking and exploring the facility. Additionally, we visited McDonald's Observatory and Big Bend NP. The Davis Mountains are amazing, and we would love to come back for more hiking and exploring. We've stayed at many VRBOs, and this was a fantastic rental and location! One thing we loved and valued was there was not a TV in the main spaces, which facilitated more connection and less distraction. The only TV is located in the master bedroom, but we never turned it on the entire time we were there. It's such a unique and diverse landscape; we were thankful for undistracted time together to explore the beauty of God's creation surrounding us!

The stay was wonderful! There was not one single item we could have needed that was not already there. We have never seen such a well-stocked property! We loved star gazing at the property and at McDonald Observatory. We really LOVED having a fire in the fireplace to warm up after attending the 21 degree mountain top star party. Brrr! Everyone slept well and had a great time. We cannot recommend more highly. Five stars all around for our party of seven!

Impeccable home with a very warm atmosphere that fosters family interactions.. many new core memories were made here! The views, the comfort and everything you need is fully stocked! The home is lovely and the town is friendly… we felt at home! Already planning our next trip.. this home is bookmarked!

Outstanding location if you want to be located within driving distance to Marfa, Big Bend, and many other sites, this is the place to be. My family has such a great time that they are still talking about the experience. The owner and their staff were so responsive to any questions I had and made the experience fantastic and memorable. Highly recommended!!!!

Mark’s property was just perfect for our family trip to Fort Davis. Beautiful view of the mountains and a back porch perfect for stargazing. Close drive to hiking, the McDonald Observatory, as well as shops, restaurants and the local grocery store. Will look for this property again on our next trip to Fort Davis!

My husband, two sons, and I have been going to the McDonald Observatory and Fort Davis for 16 or so years and have stayed in lots of places in Fort Davis. Your house was, by far, our favorite. Glad we could share that experience with our friends who had never been to the area.

Gorgeous place gorgeous views

This house was a nice place to stay as we explored the fort and McDonald's observatory. There was a nice large kitchen and a comfortable living area with plenty of space for everyone. The beds were very comfortable and there was a back porch with a picnic table that we used. There was a minor hiccup, but the owners made everything right. They were very easy to work with and wanted our stay to be a memorable one. All of us enjoyed our stay.

We had such a wonderful experience staying here. This listing has absolutely everything you need for a weekend stay. From pantry items to shampoo and conditioner. The views were spectacular and the house was one of the cleanest houses I have ever stepped foot in. One hundred percent will be booking again!

My family had a wonderful time visiting Fort Davis and Big Bend while staying here. The house is well built and furnished well to accommodate our large family. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed the firepit and the beautiful night views of the stars. Highly recommended!
