Loved our stay here. Staff was nice and breakfast was great. Easy walk to historic town. I would definitely stay there again.

We were only at Chewuch for a single night. My husband and I were traveling with my sister and brother in law hiking throughout Washington. Each couple had a separate room.
Pros: front office lady (didn’t get her name) was so sweet and helpful when we told her our issues and immediately tried to fix the problems.
Breakfast was really good! Great coffee, homemade scones/cakes/muffins.
There was a common room that was open all night with games/puzzles/books. Our foursome played games there in the evening.
Cons: our room was tiny. There wasn’t room to put our luggage anywhere except in front of the door and I worry that would be a problem if there was a fire or something like that.
We did not have a small refrigerator in our room.
When we arrived at our room, I went to use the bathroom and unfortunately someone else had already used it and didn’t flush. It wasn’t #1 either. That immediately told me that the room hadn’t been cleaned. We checked the sheets and there was also evidence that they had been used. The sweet front office lady came and cleaned and changed the sheets but I didn’t feel clean my entire stay.
The bathroom shower curtain only had a few curtain holders on the top and the rest was pinned to the wall with the hanging line thing. The liner was all moldy because it was doubled up and probably never dried.
Overall, cannot recommend Chewuch and I would not choose to stay here again.

Great base to explore the North Cascade trail and surrounding areas. Spent two nights which was ample time. The Cabins are close to local amenities which made it easy too.

This place is just ok. A little dated but kind of quaint. Breakfast eggs were good and the blueberry pudding was delicious. The grounds need some weeding and rooms need some updating but everyone was friendly and the location was good.

The cabins are cute, comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly.
They have an amazing breakfast. More than the usual waffles, yogurt and fruit.
They also have an assortment of books, movies and games that you can borrow while there.
I would definitely stay there again.

Such a pleasure to stay at the Chewuch Inn. We've stayed many places in the Methow Valley over many years but had never before stayed here. Our King Suite was very spacious and comfortable; the decor was inviting; and breakfast was delicious.

Really a lovely place to stay. Our only difficulty was with a faulty DVD player, but we only tried it on the last night, after the office had closed. We talked to the woman at the desk, the next morning and she apologized profusely, saying the problem would have been corrected if they’d been notified earlier. Her attentive attitude was typical of everything else we experienced : all other details had been exquisitely prepared. This property is a real deal, for the price paid.

Cute little inn with a really good breakfast. Bed was super comfy with super soft linens. Staff were very helpful and showed us up to our cute room with plenty of plugs and nice lighting. Two sinks were nice to have so you could brush your teeth or get ready when your partner was in the shower. Highly recommend.

staff was great. Kelly at the front desk was awesome. very helpful and informative. breakfast in the mornings were a nice bonus to a great stay. walking distance to town was also nice. the Inn is a great place to stay if you are visiting Winthrop.

The main route from Seattle was closed because of wild fires. So we had to change our plan. We asked another night to stay here when we checked in, they did arrangements and let us stay in the same room for two nights. Very kind.

quiet area but a bit of a walk into the historic part of Winthrop. Clean, comfortable and quiet, good breakfast but must go into old Winthrop for lunch/dinner.

This property is in a great location; just a quick walk to downtown Winthrop. The people who worked at the inn were very friendly. Our cabin was nice and quiet and they had games and dvds to rent. The only issues were that our cabin’s floors were filthy. Our feet were black. It was so bad I had to wash the floors. There were also old big dead bugs on the counter, yet we are close to the outdoors so I can get that. Also, the water didn’t get hot. I went to take a hot shower after washing the floors and the water got lukewarm at best. AC unit was super loud and didn’t do a great job.

We had a very nice stay here. The staff is super friendly and the room was beautiful and comfortable. We used the EV charger and the breakfast buffet had a wide selection of fresh food.

We loved the beautiful, sturdy wood accents in the cabin and the little deck out back for our morning coffee. The kitchen with coffee and coffee maker was good. A freezer section in the small refrigerator would have been nice.
Needs some updating - noisy air conditioner, ineffective fan in bathroom, no overhead lighting, dirty carpet. That said, we really loved the coziness and the natural setting.

This place has a ton of potential with a little work on the room. The air conditioner didn't really work. The fan did but didn’t seem to blow cold air. The ceiling in the bathroom had water dripping from it. Not sure if it was from the tub upstairs or what? Fix those issues and things would be much better.

Back to Chewuch after 10 years. Still a lovely place with cozy cabins.
The staff experience was startlingly bad tho this time around. No one at front desk. A sign said: “call this number”. Calling the number resulted in a phone behind the desk ringing. … seriously? Had to wander the building to find someone who could find someone to check us in. She was completely disinterested in the line up of folks waiting to check in. No one present at checkout either… so no receipt for our stay….
Breakfast last time was an A . This time was a solid B. Very uninspired.
Beds, bath and cabin were great, but will be hard to pay a premium here in the future.

I’ve stayed at Chewuch two times now and would gladly do it again. Such a nice place. Things I love: the cozy cabin aesthetic, air conditioning, very tidy maintenance, and delicious breakfast pastries.

This is a fun western themed property. The staff are great as was the breakfast. The town is set up and welcoming to visitors. In our room the air conditioner and the head of our bed were alined and I had to pile up pillows to divert it. The fan turns on/off so sleeping was disturbed. Be ready to climb stairs if you get a 2nd floor room in the lodge.

It was a great experience. I loved their homemade breakfast. The staff were friendly. Our room was small and the TV don’t have a good clear picture.
The location was good away from the Main Street but close enough to downtown and some trails. Overall we enjoyed the stayed and we will stay again in the cabin instead of Inn.

We have stayed here many times over the last decade or so and have been happy with the facility. However, this time we were assigned a room that we did not request or need (accessible) and are not sure how this switch from our paid-for choice happened. This was not an error on our part but happened either through the Chewuch Inn or Expedia. It set the tone for a somewhat unpleasant 2 day holiday.

The carpet and the chair in the room were dingy dirty. There were stains on both chairs that I thought were really unacceptable. It was so bad, I had to take a photo for myself.
It's obvious that the facility is neglected - old, dirty and falling apart.
I'm puzzled by the high ratings the facility received!
I cannot rate the staff as I did not have a chance to interact with them as I arrived after 5pm.

The staff was welcoming and helpful. We decided to add a night last minute. The transition between rooms was quick and easy. Breakfast was delicious and there was a nice variety. The quiche was amazing!

Lovely property. If you are a light sleeper, I do not recommend a room on the ground floor since you can hear people walking upstairs all the time and the floor boards are squeaky. The breakfast selection is ample and healthy.

We had an excellent stay. Great location and accomodations. So much in a walkable distance. Lucked out and got live music at the outdoor Skate rink too. First visit to Winthrop did not disappoint.

Quaint, clean, rustic cabin with all of the amenities required for a short stay. Close to downtown Winthrop and local activities/restaurants. The hot tub was a very welcome bonus. Will go out of our way to stay again.

Fantastic place to stay clean nice. Walk to town. Downside there was only 19 channels on the tv and the only movie channels were blurry. The shower ran out of hot water in the first five minutes wasn’t draining very well. I would still recommend this hotel very rustic nice location town was fun.
