We are a family of 4. 2 kids 9, and 12. our 9 and 12 year olds stayed in the 'second' house. That was a first for them but a great transition/skills test! We stayed 8 nights and had a great experience. the Hosts were very attentive and available. We would stay here again.

This place is spot on from the moment they meet you at the gate. A short walk into town with a supermarket 1/2 block away. You feel like you have your own compound. Wonderful view from the covered veranda... and the wildlife in the trees is fun to watch. We absolutely loved every bit of this large property. Note that 2 of the large bedrooms are towards the back of the property so you'll need to flip a coin to see who stays beachside but I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to book it again. Pura Vida indeed.

We loved our stay at Blue Lagoon, the location is amazing, pool is great and the beach access is unprecedented.

This property is amazing and made our vacation experience very special! Jonathan was very helpful and responsive! My wife and I stayed along with our son and his girlfriend. The property was inviting for its size. You are right on the beach and can just walk out to swim or surf. The mid part of Tamarindo is a 10 min walk on the beach. I would recommend this house as a great vacation destination to anyone! We plan on staying there again. Pura Vida!

The property was wonderful, and had everything our group needed to have a lovely week in Tamarindo. The proximity to the beach and town made it super convenient and the views at sunset were stunning. Will definitely be staying here again in the future. We spent most of our time in the common spaces and were able to spend time cooking and eating together both inside and outside.

Overall the property was as advertised. Located right on the Playa Tamarindo beach and by very swimmable waters and within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. The howler and squirrel monkeys hung out in the trees with iguanas, birds and yea even a snake :). The pool was a refreshing reprieve. The homes are very well maintained. We communicated with Jonathan who was very responsive to our requests. Would highly recommend this property.

I think it is rare to find a private home that is right on the beach in Tamarindo. We enjoyed walking out to the small beach break surf with our boards & the cool breezes that allowed us to hang outside on the beautiful patio without feeling sweltering hot or getting eaten by mosquitos. We also loved seeing the huge iguana who lived in the yard & the monkeys who would come by on a daily basis! The main house closest to the beach has one beautiful master bedroom & bath with ocean views upstairs and a main kitchen/ living room downstairs with a great deck/pool area to lounge around on. The other guest building is set back near the entrance to the property and has two bedrooms ( one on ground level) and a living room, deck, & kitchen. AC worked great in all units. We did rent a golf cart which was essential as we had grandma & grandpa who found the 15min. Walk to town too much, especially in the heat. The walk along the beach to some restaurants was nice though & doable. There is also a cafe to get coffee very close by - it is in the same building as the Sofia restaurant. Took us a few days to discover that, so thought I would mention it! Jonathon was very responsive when we needed something & Daniel the manager gave us a ride to the airport & went out of his way ( to say the least) to get us to our flight on time, despite a major traffic jam. We are very grateful for our time spent at Casa Blue Lagoon. It is a special property that felt private & safe.

The location can’t be beat! Access directly to the beach and amazing views. Jonathan was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay.

We were in Costa Rica to have fun time prior to the rush of Christmas. Blue Lagoon is a great spot with an ideal location between downtown Tamarindo and Langosta. Several of the better restaurants are very close and yet is still feels private and a little removed from the hustle of Tamarindo.

If you want to stay on the beach, we don't know of a better way. This place was fantastic for giving immediate access to being on the beach and being surrounded by beautiful trees and wildlife. We were told that howler monkeys were often around, but we didn't see any during our time. Johnathan was our primary point of contact. He was attentive to any needs that we had. He helped set up surfing lessons for our entire family. We met the instructors right the back door and walked on to the beach for our lessons. Johnathan stayed around and took pictures and videos of us surfing that he shared with us (we wouldn't have had any otherwise). There are golf carts available for an extra fee. We found them useful for going into town and could park more easily than with our vehicle.

This property is really beautiful and is great accommodations, especially for adults. But be aware that it is set up as two different buildings, so might not be great if you have little kids. The Managers, both Daniel and Jonathan were very helpful with anything we needed. It is right on the beach, and it is a nice beach with good waves. We played paddle ball on the beach, and boogie boarded. There is a lot of restaurants and bars very close, you can easily walk. We utilized the option of the golf cart, which made it really easy to get around. We did have a few problems, but Jonathan was diligent in trying to take care of our issues. We would stay here again.

We had a wonderful time in Tamarindo. Casa Blue Lagoon is an ideal location right on the beach! Numerous restaurants within walking distance…especially nice to hit a Happy Hour right on the beach. Restaurants here do charge a 23% surcharge and be careful about exchange rates and not being overcharged on 2 for 1 drink specials. Beautiful location for rest relaxation and beach activities.

Great Place, Location is fantastic and other than the Dishwasher not working it was next to perfect for us!

We just returned from a four night stay and the property is an 11/10 for the location and a solid 8/10 for the accommodations. It should be noted that this property consists of two houses, a one bedroom bungalow facing the beach with a full kitchen and pool and a second two bedroom house on the same lot but not connected to the bungalow. We have four kids and ended up having our two youngest sleep on the floor of the bungalow while our two older kids were in the other house. The site manager was awesome as he set up some surfing lessons for us (paid the local rate rather than the tourist rate) and helped us with a few restaurant and food options. The house is in an incredible location right on the beach but far enough away from the party scene to be quiet at night.

A truly amazing vacation in our opinion PARADISE is a short flight away, for beautiful ocean and a beach just steps away. The best accommodation anyone could have and the best and most gracious and accommodating people are walking distance for the best food and drinks and shopping. including restaurants on the beach!! We would definitely come back to stay here, a very relaxing vacation again.

First let me preface my review. It’s a new place so landscaping, room cleanliness, and initial checking glitch I think all future renters will avoid. The most important part is the home is very good and location fantastic. Beach, sunset, pool, separate suites, walking distant to downtown (10m walk), vendors walking by selling coconuts, beers, horse riding, all without us having to leave the house… and not touristy or bothersome vendors. Our host Daniel had a chef who prepared us whatever we wanted breakfasts each day there and the hammock on the beach was perfect! Large smart tvs, 2 kitchens, very private gated entry and safe. The host Daniel is responsive also. I just recommend if you booked via a app like VRBO, call him directly for better coordination instead of relying on him getting VRBO messages in a timely fashion. Since they weren’t expecting us till tomorrow, we arrived and no one there to open the gate or tour the property. But I called Daniel and within 20 minutes he took care of it. Some cleanliness issues with insects and yard that could be more professionally prepared. And I recommend all doors to have screens so we can open the doors facing the ocean. However like I said, they are actively preparing this property. I would definitely rent again when I come back to Tamarindo.. reviews can be overly critical but check in process and cleanliness I’m sure for next guest would be 5s. Pura Veda.

Our family enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect, right on the beach. We could get anywhere in Tamarindo or Longosta from here within a matter of minutes. There are howler monkeys in the trees on the property. We also saw a sea turtle laying eggs on the beach one night. It was one of the best places we have ever stayed at.
