This is a classic motel from a by-gone era! However, the owners have modernized it enough that it is quite comfortable, cozy, and attractive. The bed was dreamy and the room quiet and conducive to a good night’s sleep. Everything was very clean. The owner could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. I would definitely recommend!

A very budget motel…absolutely the smallest room I have ever had but it was clean and the bed was comfy enough.
The owner was very friendly and when I asked for more coffee & shampoo he provided them no problem. The shower was large but VERY dimly lit—-probably my biggest issue.

I got a few rooms for my family for a wedding in Buena Vista! Both families couldn't stop raving about the owners, their rooms, the fire pits area, and I personally liked the price!

The owners go over and beyond to make your stay great!! Rooms are very clean, the queen rooms are small. They have lots of outside seating very nice firepit. They were very helpful with all your needs. Thanks for all your help. Highly recommend this motel.

This place is super cute with a lot of charm! The owners are very nice and welcoming. The rooms are small but very functional. The outdoor gathering space is amazing. We enjoyed sitting outside by the fire pit the 2 nights we were here.

The owners are incredibly wonderful and super accommodating. They went over and above to make sure our stay was pleasing to us. The outdoor/backyard setting with the fire pit has got to be one of the coolest vibes we have ever experienced! Fun, funky, and super chill stay!

The hosts, the property, and the patio/firepit were great. I would highly recommend this place. Yes, as people said, the rooms are small, but that is to be expected in a property of this age. Everything is so well maintained and homey.

This property has an owner who puts a lot of TLC into making this a comfortable and attractive, and never never goes a little bit above and beyond with his amenities. There is a rustic theme to the log cabin exterior.

Neat little motel right at the intersection of highways 50 and 285. The room was very small, but clean, comfortable and with charm. Jim, the owner, came over and chatted with me while I was at my car, and they have nightly firepit gatherings for everyone to socialize if you so desire. Would stay again if I'm in the area.

My family came to the area for a committal. We also planned on staying a few extra nights to enjoy early summer in the mountains. We could not have been more welcomed by the owners.

This is property is on the hwy which is what I needed. The innkeeper was very friendly and accommodating. There is some construction going on near them and they appear to be working on improvements as well. Perfect for what I needed, not fancy but very clean, quiet( even with the hwy, and very comfortable.

Everything was great 👍 except for the noisy neighbors and their 2 big, barking dogs. I had an intense training that weekend and the barking dogs and slamming doors woke me up at 5am!

There is an area where there are chairs, littles, fire pit, and a gazebo for people to hang out and chill early morning/evening. Sounds like more to come in the next couple years.

This was the sweetest place! The room was exceptional (so clean) and the service was the best. This will definitely be where we stay in this area. Couldn’t have had a better experience.

Great service and comfortable bed. For the location and the price we would stay here again. But the room we were in was very cozy, we could hear everything the neighbors said, and the shower head sprayed everywhere but down.

Dawn, the owner was exceptional! We met her husband that evening at the fire pit. He was very friendly.
The only downfall of this experience was the size of our cabin. It was very very small. It was clean, quiet and affordable.

My only complaint would be the size of the room. It was small, yet it was still comfortable. The room was well appointed, very comfortable bed and the shower was great. It's conveniently located near several amenities and attractions too. Overall, a very favorable experience and I would definitely consider staying here again.

Dawn and Jimmy are wonderful! The rooms are clean and comfortable. The lodge is only 20 minutes from Monarch and 10 minutes from Salida. There is a food truck next door that serves a delicious breakfast. This was a great base camp for our little ski trip.
