My friend & I took our 2 teen daughters for a weekend beach trip, just the girls! There was plenty of space for the four of us, in fact we could have brought more people if we wanted. The kitchen was nicely stocked and for the most part the house was nice and clean. From the listing we were excited to use the screened in porch, but upon arrival found that would have needed a good pressure washing prior to use. As for location we wanted beaches with flat entryway from the parking lot since and getting to New Buffalo, St. Joseph and South Haven were all easy drives. The rental even had beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, beach toys and a cooler. We packed all these things since we drove, but that would have been a nice amenity to list for people who may not have room to bring along. We also had trouble finding the rental property using Google maps. Hopefully the property manager will update the listing to add this piece of information. Google maps had us about 1.5-2 miles away, and the house is not very visible from the road so that wasted 30 min prior to arrival. I am just glad we did not arrive when it was dark out. Another reason for my 4/5 star rating is the size of house with only 1 shower. The “master” bath only had a tub. After re-reading the description I see that is how the property is listed, but when we initially booked the property I just thought that meant 1 stand-up & 1 combo. 4 girls & 1 shower was tricky getting ready for dinner. Overall great Stay!

Despite being on the main street, we didn't hear any traffic noise. We had privacy thanks to the house being set back from the road, a hedge, and blinds. The house is clean and spacious. It was also surprisingly well equipped. There were beach towels and beach chairs already there, plenty of linens and dishes and cookware, a small dishwasher, coffee makers (drip & Keurig) and other small appliances. Though we didn't use them, there was a grill and an outdoor fire pit. Unlike other places we've stayed in the area, this wasn't in the middle of a town so it was a lot less busy than staying in, say, New Buffalo. It's also just a couple blocks from a truly great bakery. A few beaches are short drives away, though none would be an easy walk from the house. We liked it a lot and would go back.

It was okay. Beds were comfortable, nice to have AC but upstairs was very hot. TV did not work/have cable-no instructions. Nice toys and beach stuff for kids. Screened patio was very dirty and house is right on a major highway. We made it work for us but I would not rent again

Thoroughly enjoyed are stay at the White Cottage. Kitchen was well stocked, Size and number of bedrooms was perfect for group. Especially appreciated the beach towels since we traveled via air and didn't use suitcase space for bulky towels.

Friends and I really enjoyed our stay as part of a race week-end. The cottage was everything we needed and wanted. The only thing we weren't expecting was the loud train that went by. We are early risers, so it was ok for us. I'd definitely stay here again.
