Great Place. Several decks to enjoy.

The house was clean and had everything you can need. It was very spacious and the furniture was comfortable. The host was nice and easy to reach.

My family and I had not been to OIB for several years. By some small miracle we were able to get six of us, in our 50's/60's, with spouses, and almost two dozen young adult children, together for a week at the beach with houses within walking distance of each other. This property presented itself well in the online listing, and our choices were limited as we were bringing our two senior dogs with us. We arrived at 12:30 PM on Saturday, and were pleasantly surprised to find that the house was clean and ready for move-in. The photos online really don't do the house justice. Much nicer than the photos show. Spacious, well appointed rooms. Plenty of outdoor areas areas for relaxation. Excellent A/C. Well stocked kitchen. Great icemaker / freezer., ice trays were solid in 4-5 hours. Beach access was also good. It's a leisurely 5 min. walk to the beach. Only complaint in that regards is watch out for the golf carts. They are everywhere, and many drivers are not very careful, or possibly not even legal. We never took advantage of the community swimming pool, but it appeared that it was very popular with families with young children. Houses in the neighborhood are fairly close together, but at least during our week, guests were respectful and noise was never an issue. I would give this property an excellent rating, and though I never spoke to Peter directly, he responded to e-mails within minutes. Communications were clear, never any misunderstanding at all. Having owned and stayed in campgrounds for the last 10 yrs around MBSC area we decided to try something different for 2022. We decided to book this property and hoped it would meet our expectations. We loved all the outdoor seating from the front porch during morning coffee, to the down stairs for cooking with high top table and seating, to relaxing in the evening on the back screened in porch and balcony. The large eat in kitchen was excellent for our family of 10 and well stocked with everything needed for meal prep. Property was clean and well kept with no issues for our family. The distance to the beach was further than we are accustomed to and can get to be tiring for older folks and small children. Having a golf cart and being able to park at the pool helped with the walk and beach equipment hauling. Community pool was nice and never too crowded. Overall we enjoyed our stay, positives and negative for us with camping vs house rentals but overall enjoyable. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to vacation in OIB and new owner Peter was excellent with communication before and during our trip.

We’ve stayed at this property before and it never disappoints. The new owner was great. We had a few conversations about our stay and how he could improve the property. We look forward to going back next year.

Our experience at this vacation was great! House was clean and well supplied with everything we needed. The owner was great to work with. The microwave went out during our week and he was right on the problem and had a new microwave the next day.

We had a great time on our week at the beach! The property was just as advertised and very comfortable for our family and grand kids. The pool was just a short walk away and the beach just a bit farther. We walked down to the right three exits for a handicap access. Much needed for stroller and wagon full of beach stuff! Kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to prepare meals. Thanks!

This house was perfect retreat for our family holiday. Quiet neighborhood, easy walk to the beach and numerous decks and screened in porch to enjoy unusually warm December weather. The kitchen had everything needed to make gourmet meals; definitely more than the usual basics of a beach rental. The owner was very responsive from booking through the end of the stay. Highly recommend this property!

The house was beautiful!! First time staying on the west end…very nice area!!

Nice house, great location, close to beach and shops. We spent Thanksgiving weekend there with family. The kitchen had practically everything we needed to prepare our feast. Large, comfortable indoor space. Outdoors space were inviting, but a tad cold to really enjoy them. Would like a return visit!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner was very responsive, checkin was a breeze. The pool is about 100 yards from the house, beach access is just a short walk, less than 5 minutes. We highly recommend this property!

This was the 2nd time my family rented this home.. There were 6 adults + a few dogs. It is a great location - just a short walk to the beach or pool. It is located is a nice, quiet & friendly neighborhood. The home is equipped with everything needed for meal prep & dining. The owner is quick to respond to any questions. It is a great place to stay. We truly enjoy our time there.

Kitchen had the basics but some cookware "well used," and some had not been thoroughly cleaned. Loved the screened porch. Missed beach chairs other rentals provided. Great service when we needed to contact owner.

Wonderful trip, great location relative to the beach, and House was perfect for our group. New washer and dryer were used frequently. Note that you must bring HE detergent for the front load washer. Great communication with owner who was very helpful!

This is house is in a great location, close to the beach and in a lovely neighborhood. The outside amenities are great! It has multiple decks and a great screen porch. It would be nice if the owner provided some beach chairs for their guests. We rented chairs and a beach cart for $150. The inside of the home needs a thorough cleaning and updated furniture. We had dirt, socks and a watered bottle under our bed and stains on two of our duvet covers/bedspreads that came off when I washed them, which tells me they were not washed between guests. The couch is also badly stained.

The house was nice but Master sharing a Jack/Jill bathroom was a bummer for us. Driveway is a little tight because house is on a very small "corner lot" but we managed. Even though it was one of the lower priced houses we found for our vacation it just seemed a little overpriced for what it was in the end.

Our all adult family enjoyed our escape to Ocean Isle with plenty of room to spread out for our party of six. The outdoor spaces are especially suitable for cookouts with lots of seating and grill space. Thank you for a great stay.

We generally stay a. couple weeks per year at OIB with our 3 kids off and on for 15+ years. We haven’t stayed in this centrally located area of the island before so that is what led us to this rental. The owner was awesome and very accommodating as reflected in the reviews. By far this was the best option for the money that I have seen. Location was great for coming and going to restaurant, grocery store, and other local places. Beach was easy to get to and pool was nice. Home was extremely clean and kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. We will definitely be back!

Just returned from a week of relaxation at Ocean Isle. This home has everything you would want or need. The location is an easy walk to the beach & community pool. It is located in a quiet neighborhood. There are also plenty of balconies & decks to allow you time to yourself. The screened in deck/porch was great in the evening. We were also grateful that we were able to bring our dogs. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Great stay. House and location are exactly as advertised and as prior comments indicated. Arnold was very quick to respond and accommodating to any request. It was an easy and efficient move in and move out.
