Our group of 15 booked Sandy Pants to celebrate an 80th birthday. We had an amazing time. The home is beautiful, spacious, and just a short walk to the beach. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy themselves and relax. We enjoyed having the pool and putting green which also brought a ton of entertainment! Our host, Gia, was great at communicating and recommending things to do in the area. We even had a chef come and cook everyone dinner one night. Great trip, highly recommend!

In mid February 2024 , I did a search for specific dates in July. Filtered all of Nags Head area for properties that were kid friendly and allowed at least two pets. I ultimately selected the property in Duck. I paid the total rental cost to VRBO within a week. Arrived with family that flew in from Texas along with four grandchildren, seven adults and two dogs on July 18. Within 30 minutes, I received a call from the property manager asking if I had any dogs on the property. I answered yes. I had two. I was told by the property manager that dogs were NOT allowed , despite it being prominently displayed in the listing. I send the property manager a photo of the part that indicated up to two dogs allowed. The response I received was that was a VRBO issue, and pets were absolutely not allowed by the owner. I was offered and accepted a full refund. I did not see any upside of fighting about it during the booked stay. Reloaded three cars and drove to daughter’s house two hours away. Drove thru two torrential thunder storms which made things even more aggravating. Grand kids were pretty disappointed as were the entire family. Pretty upsetting situation. I don’t care if it was a VRBO or property manager issue. I dealt with the VRBO site and paid them. To the property managers credit, I did promptly receive the refund. But the hurt and disappointment will be something I won’t soon forget. Still hurts today.

The location was great. So close to the beach! The house was clean and we enjoyed the pool and putting green. We also loved the friendly little mama and baby deer wandering the property daily. Would have been a five star but we had to purchase some necessities that we felt should have been there.

Our stay was amazing and Gia is an amazing host who gave us insights on where we could visit and was so thoughtful. The house is located at walking distance from the beach so my family and I would just walk over to the beach when we pleased which we loved. The house is very spacious and accommodating and nicely kept. Our family books a trip once a year to the beach and we will definitely be coming back to this house,m. Thank you so much Gia!
