House is located in a quiet, pristine, residential area a short walk to cliffs overlooking the ocean. There is a large backyard with outdoor seating, a jacuzzi and pool (with limited usage per house rules which we were not notified of until after booking). Kitchen was large and functional.

This house reminded me of a place college students rent with absent landlords and where I'd sleep on a couch for a long weekend when visiting friends. This is unfortunately not a place I can recommend and definitely not a place I would ever pay to stay at again. The house is not up to standards of a vacation rental from my numerous other rental experiences. Despite the house rules warning no animals allowed-- the house smelled strongly of wet/unclean dog, furniture had dog hair on it and there were rotting/moldy dog toys in the living room. Mind you, we do not have animals nor brought an to with us. Light switches were missing covers, leaving exposed wires in our toddlers reach, and there were missing smoke detectors. Electrical plugs overheated appliances or didn't charge. The furnishings and rooms were worn down. Bedsheets had dead bugs in between the linens and mattress pad. We used our own comforters and blankets due to the thinness and poor quality of blankets provided. There is one central, old, heater with a thermostat hanging off the wall in the living room which didn't heat the house sufficiently. In the morning, the floor in our bedroom was wet due to the skylight leaking. No curtains or a way to block out any of the sun was provided so the room was lit up starting at day break. Rules for the pool were made known after booking including use of the jacuzzi for two hours per day between 4p and 9pm. Pool was not clean for use during our stay and not heated from November through April. I contacted the host about our concerns re: the cleanliness and smell of the house twice (via email and through the app) and received no response. Additionally we were responsible for cleaning chores prior to check out despite the condition we found the home and a cleaning fee. What was the cleaning fee for? We have dog hair over all of our clothes and belongings.
