Excellent location. Very clean. Nice coffee machine in the room. Delicious breakfast although slow to arrive.
Small window with little air flow and no fan so rather uncomfortable on a hot day. Food was slow to be delivered. We waited 45 minutes for breakfast despite there only being two tables to serve. Luckily we weren’t rushing off anywhere.

Friendly host.
Comfy bed.
Good shower.
Tasty breakfast.
Relaxed outside seating.
Cask ales available and convenient nearby pub (Brickmakers Arms) with excellent cask ales (from Burton Bridge Brewery).
Only some minor points. :-)
Kitchen is closed for dinner on Mondays and Tuesdays (the nights I stayed) and there are no other dining or food shopping options in the small village.
The large wall-mounted TV screen in the room is (as far as I'm concerned) unnecessary, oversized and dominates the otherwise very comfortable room.
My room (no. 3) faced onto the street and noise from occasional traffic was noticeable, especially with the windows open (in warm weather this was preferable to keeping the windows shut and getting uncomfortably warm).

Everything!

The girl on shift was nice. The heating was on, so the room was warm on arrival
Christmas lights outside window were on and flashing

Good location and nice room with on suite
The bed was a little uncomfortable

Really friendly welcome on arrival. I was made to feel like a regular even though it was my first visit. Michaela recognised I was work weary and made sure I was checked in quickly and shown my lovely room.
Nothing!

The service and the staff were brilliant
I could not get into the shower, the doorway was too narrow

Seemingly newly refurbished pub and rooms, clean and a comfortable bed, with a Tassimo coffee machine in the room which is always welcome. Superb breakfast, good value and clearly cooked to order. Service excellent throughout, from welcome and ease of check-in and at breakfast.
Just a personal preference, coffee at breakfast was rather too weak.
4.3
The room was nice- recently refurbished. Bed very comfy and the towels lovely. Children were given proper beds which I appreciate. The evening meal on offer was excellent and the staff universally lovely.
I thought I had booked breakfast- my mistake- I hadn't. I thought the price of breakfast was very expensive- particularly as I only had cereal and toast. The coffee was dreadful- it looked like dirty water when it arrived and tasted of nothing but dirty warmish water.

Excellent Breakfast (Full Engish). Comfortable bed.
In my room the bathroom had a bad drain smell

Completely loved it here
The staff -in particular Minnie - were friendy, helpful and chatty
The meals including breakfast were very good.
Beef Borginon was absolutely delicious
Lovely spacious family room, clean and quiet
Nice large outdoor seating area
The village is very pretty
We will definitely stay there again !
Room 1, the shower in the bathroom would benefit from regrouting. And maybe new flooring ?

Nothing, really, except the appropriate location.
Terrible value for money - £90 a night without breakfast for a most basic room that should not have been more than £60 at MOST. Entry was past the fire escape and the whole place had the appearance of being unloved.

Breakfast was great just thought the room was very expensive for 2 nights

No shaver socket and would prefer shower cubicle

It’s a cute inn with very friendly and warm staffs. The room and beds were very comfortable and we loved our breakfast.
I didn’t dislike anything about the property. I was only cautious with my son because of the inn’s nearness to the major road.

The location was lovely - set in a beautiful rural village. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely amazing!! So delicious! Beds were super comfy and our room had a smart tv so we could watch some netflix after a long day at work. Would recommend!
The wait for food was really slow on all 3 occasions we ate. We understand that Saturday was slow service as it was really busy - pretty much a full house but Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning wasn't busy in the restaurant but we still had to wait 25-30 mins for our food. This then made resulted in us being late for work on Sunday morning. The room we stayed in as right by the main road going through the village and due to it being a warm night with no aircon, it did mean we had to keep the window ajar which meant we could hear cars going past all night/morning. I'm a light sleeper, so I struggled getting to sleep for most of the night.

Love the deluxe family room. Love that we can stay with kids - one double room and two single beds. Love that the double is on one side of an L and the two twins are on the other side of an L. Love there is a restaurant on premises. Love the breakfast with Hannah. Love that the bus stops right in front of the Inn.
Nothing.

Comfortable. Neat. Clean. Hospitable. Close to The Repton School. Everyone was delightful. We arrived after the restaurant part of the pub at the Inn closed. The staff got us settled, and taught us the local take out app. The locals were so open and friendly. Hannah, proprietor, serves a fantastic full English breakfast and is so welcoming and kind.
Nothing. Was just perfect.

Well located and good value for money. Room comfortable. Very good host. Very good breakfast.
4.3
Good access & parking, warm welcome. Room clean & a comfortable bed with good duvet, both bath & shower in large bathroom.
The room was freezing as the radiators weren’t on in the morning, there was no hairdryer - which is essential and there was no one to ask or check out with, to mention these issues on Sunday morning.

Did not have breakfast, Room was perfect, large and very nicely decorated. Staff were fantastic, hence why I have booked another 4 nights stay.
Nothing everything was excellent
