Once we found the hotel (see below) our stay was excellent, we had a mini suite which was great, the staff were very helpful and all the facilities first rate. The Infinity Blue restaurant which is about 10 minutes walk away was very good but there are several others close by. We hired a car for most of the time we were there, this is probably essential as the hotel is a little out of the way.

Getting there was a disaster! The hotel said we needed to get off at stop 15 which we did. There were lots of signs to places to stay but not Skiathos Argento, I tried ringing them, no answer, the Booking.com map said the hotel was 20 yards away, it wasn’t. I was beginning to feel we had been conned. After 30 minutes of marching up and down (in 30 degree heat), asking locals etc etc we eventually found the place, very hot and sweaty and extremely cross. It seems the entries in Booking.com are completely wrong. The hotel is ½ mile up the lane opposite bus stop 15.

If you enjoy being closer to nature and further away from the noise of the main road, look no further than this place. If you like to read a book at the pool bar or lying down on a sunbed, you'll feel content being there. You'll even find books, if you did not bring any, in English mainly. You might feel so good that you could even give up going to the beach. If being close to the beach is important to you, don't choose this place, leave it for someone who needs the above advantages. Plus the amazing room, the nice kitchenette, the excelent shower, the cleaning and the nice towels, changed every other day, the bathrobe and the great balcony taking you closer to nature while enjoying a good meal or a good wine. We've rented a car and went to several beaches that were further away than the ones closest to this property, as we like the flexibility and the time being saved, especially when staying only 5 days as we did. Last but not least, the hosts were really welcoming and kind. We've felt right at home.
