We had our daughter's baptism in Old Forge over a long weekend in October and this property was absolutely perfect for us. We had a mix of several generations staying there and there was more than enough room for everyone. The layout is excellent, with several small private porches/balconies, the lean to by the fire pit is great for being outside despite some rain, and the view is serene. Couldn't recommend it highly enough!

Such a great stay with family at this location. It’s so serene but also family friendly and so close to town. Communicate with the owner was great and had accommodations for little ones that lightened our packing list!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moose River Landing! We started our trip with two families and having the separate cabins was great. After one family left early my kids loved the bunk house. This was possibly the cleanest rental we have ever stayed at and there was so much attention to detail. We got lots of use of the kayaks and canoe and enjoyed exploring the Old Forge area. We loved it so much we are considering renting again next year!

Truly an amazing cabin and bunkhouse, peaceful, serene and just a short walk into downtown Old Forge and the TOBIE trail bridge! We spent our days kayaking and fishing from dock, and nights in the lean-to enjoying the beautiful firepit! The interior of both the cabin and bunkhouse are so comfortable and inviting, and the views are amazing! Kitchen has everything you need, and seating for a large group! Amazing host who was very accommodating! We look forward to returning again!

Beautiful home, clean and very well stocked kitchen

Beautiful property! Very clean and well maintained. Our family spent nights around the bonfire and our days exploring Old Forge. The cabin has so many windows with beautiful views of the moose river and wild life. The cabin itself is comfortable and the kitchen has everything. The short time we had went by quickly.

We have booked this house 3 yrs in a row. We love the owner, the house, the entire experience. The property itself is amazing....

Super clean and well sorted property. Walking distance to Old Forge. Kayaks right out the back door. Plenty of room at the table for 8 adults and same for the bonfire at the leanto.

We loved our stay at this property. The house was perfect. There were so many things to do for a small family group with young children. We absolutely loved the front room with the cozy mission style chairs and the large dining table. Having access to kayaks was great however out children were too young. The fire pit is cozy and the picnic table was great to have for eating and children's projects. The view of the river is breathtaking and peaceful. It's a beautiful location for relaxing.

Our large group thoroughly enjoyed this house. Extra large table with plenty of chairs right next to the window with such a beautiful view of the river - so relaxing. The super sturdy oversized dock was wonderful for relaxing on, launching the kayaks, fishing and the occasional dip in the cool refreshing water. The kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of everything needed from cups to giant serving bowls. Everyone took advantage of the short pleasant walk along the bike path to town and the lake. The beds were all very comfortable and having the bunk house was helpful for an extra bathroom and shower on a separate water heater. Plenty of firewood was provided for lots of campfires, a hatchet is available but I'd recommend bringing your own long handled axe or maul to split the wood a bit more easily. Plenty of lightweight ADK chairs available, easy to move back and forth from fire ring to dock. Everyone commented they would definitely return to the same house again if we have the opportunity.

The location was superb! Just a couple of feet from a trail to ride! Right on the water and the water wAs flowing even in 14 degree weather! We enjoyed the outside fire with wind blocker! So nice! Deer come right up to the back porch! Comfortable beds and plenty of space. Everything was very new and spotleSs. Kids had a blast in guest bunk house. Overall excellent visit would do it again in a heartbeat !

The place came as advertised but with a bit more space than we expected. The bunk house was roomy with a comfortable couch and love seat. The main house has wrap around windows in the back that show off a pan Aramaic view of the river. Between the house and bunk house, the 8 of us had plenty of space. The kitchen was clean and included everything that we needed. The bunk room was upstairs and very private, but curtains on the windows would have been nice. Also, each bed includes a sheet and comforter. If you want a little more weight on you when you sleep, bring extra blankets. The location of the property is just a 1/2 mile from the main road, yet secluded and private on a quiet side street. Would stay here again.

New Year trip With the family it was tranquil peaceful everything we thought it would be and more… Our trip was planned around snowmobiling sadly there was no snow we will definitely return next year with better planning on the weather

This was a great spot for two families. The cabins are perfectly positioned on the property and the view is excellent. The cabins were as clean as any we've ever rented. Recommend!

My family and I (7 adults and 2 kids) stayed here for a long weekend. The location was perfect; a walk to town but still feels private and is surrounded by trees. You can't beat the view of the river looking out from the open concept kitchen/dining/living area! The bunk house was perfect for multiple families to give everyone a little privacy and space. We loved the outdoor fire pit and lean to. We were visited daily by the friendly Old Forge deer, geese and ducks. The home was very clean and nicely decorated in Adirondack style. The owners were very friendly and easy to reach. We did not have any issues during our stay. We would love to come back in the summer months - it would be perfect for kayaking!

We came as a fairly large group - two families including teens, young adults and adults. We all loved it. The location is kind of unbelievable - so close to town that the teens ran/walked the distance once or twice, but removed enough that it feels completely secluded, quiet and peaceful. The wildlife was amazing, we had visits from ducks and deer daily, as well as a mama bear and her cub who came by one day. The property is beautiful, exactly as described and quite comfortable. The sectional in the living room comfortably sat eight or nine of us for a movie one night. Three teen boys loved having their own space in the bunkhouse. We wished there had been a second bathroom in the main house, but we made it work. It was a wonderful stay with no problems! Would happily stay here again or recommend to friends!

This property is exactly as described on VRBO. Great location - able to walk into Town, but plenty of wildlife on the river. We were able to enjoy nightly campfires, paddling on the river, morning coffee on the porch and the kids swam from the dock. The home is beautifully maintained and the cleanest rental we have ever stayed at. We have nothing negative to say....definitely a 5 Star property.

Perfect cabin in a great location for our family. We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute of our time at this home. We spent the days bike riding the bike path, kayaking the moose river and swimming off the dock at the home. The owner was very responsive and the check in and check out process was smooth. Very close to all that Old Forge has to offer.
