Unexpected gem tucked away in its own grounds in the middle of Alencon. A charming tasteful renovation of an old château has been done very recently.

Breakfast was lovely. Personal and fresh to order! Very boutique and charming setting. I would recommend to anyone staying in this area. The hosts were so attentive and made the effort to make sure we were comfortable. They even set me up so I could charge my car. Wonderful experience!

Fabulous old house renovated to a very high quality. It’s located right in the heart of the old town. It has only 4 rooms so we will make sure to book in advance next time we plan to visit Alençon. The rooms are furnished and decorated to a very high standard and the bed was very comfortable. Although in the centre of town it is very peaceful and surrounded by a mature walled garden. Chloe was absolutely delightful and greeted us with such a warm welcome and the next morning prepared a cooked omelette with bacon for breakfast as well as fresh fruit, cereal, croissants and delicious jams. She even provided a small cheese platter for my husband who doesn’t eat eggs. It was the best spread we had while travelling in France. We will definitely return!

Not so easy to find as Street address did not come up on my cars nav but we got there through Google. No lift so had to carry luggage up stairs. Help was offered however.

Beautiful chateau. The bed was extremely comfortable with quality sheets. The breakfast was delicious. Chloe was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. She went out of her way to look after us. We loved chatting to her and finding out about how the owner had renovated the chateau. Would love to come and stay again

A beautiful old house, tastefully renovated and beautifully decorated. The rooms are well furnished with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Caroline our hostess was so kind and welcoming, advised us on places to eat and visit, and gave us a brilliant breakfast with so much choice!

Based in a beautiful old chateau in the centre of Alençon, Deux Marguerite was a real find. We received a warm welcome from Caroline, who was able to advise us on local restaurants and attractions. The interior of the chateau was exceptional. And the bedroom spacious and comfortable.

We absolutely loved this hotel which is very central yet private and peaceful. Caroline greeted us so warmly and made us feel at home immediately. She gave us some restaurant suggestions for dinner that night and then booked a table for us. The attention to detail in our room and in general was exceptional - all our needs were catered for. We would absolutely recommend this hotel.

A beautiful house in a lovely part of town. A house full of history, sympathetically brought into the present by Stephane. Could not have asked for a more understanding host. Arriving later than planned, Stephan booked a restaurant for us which was perfect. After a good nights sleep, an English breakfast with a French slant set us on our way.

It was a beautiful house set in peaceful grounds an easy walk to the town. The property has been renovated to an exceptional standard.

Such a beautiful building and so well developed. Our room was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. And Caroline was our perfect host - so attentive and kind and informative, a total joy (the owner Stephan was not on site - it would have been lovely to find out more about his renovations of such an old property). We had a wonderful time in and around Alençon - so many lovely places in and around to see. Definitely coming back!
