We had such an amazing trip. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and appreciated. The property was great. Our family enjoyed fishing and catching all sorts of fish. We saw manatees, dolphins, alligators, stingrays, snook, and so much more. We loved being across from the nature preserve, seeing all the wildlife and not having houses right across from us. The house had everything we needed for our getaway.

Beautiful property surrounded by interesting natural setting. Rooms far enough apart for privacy. Great private screened in pool and outdoor grill and bar. Saw many birds including ospreys and fish near the canal. Highlight this year was a bull shark chasing fish on the other side of the canal. Bring binoculars. I have caught snook right off the dock in 2018. Near many attractions like Matlacha and Pine Island. Sanibel is about an hour away. Clean, quiet and very private property that can easily accomodate three couples.

Experience was great starting with the first contact with Andrea and a Doug. They are gracious hosts who have many of the essentials in the kitchen and house ready for you. The pool area is gorgeous with unbeatable sunsets. Grocery stores and fun restaurants heading towards Pine Island are close by. We enjoyed the fishing net and bait bucket in the garage to supplement our fishing rods and reels for fishing off the dock where we caught 6 different species. We rented a kayak for the week from Justin at Grab n Go Kayaks which was great. Will definitely rent again if in the area. Thanks for making our family experience so much fun Andrea and Doug!

Very nice. Had some problems 1-screen door closure was completely broke off. 2-cold water faucet in master bath was broke we carefully put handle down and turned very carefully 3- pool was low on water as pool maintenance an had noted. We filled water after calling Karen about what procedure to do 4-This was disgusting outdoor refrigerator by bar had very strong odor. I cleaned it out hoping to rid smell Still there I then turned off and let the freezer part to defrost. To my amazement there was fish and old bait left in the refrigerator freezer section. Not what I would expect to find !!!!!Each time we had issue called Karen. Carpet by piano needs a deep cleaning also.a lot of stains. For your future guests hope the issues can be resolved. Rental property was very well maintained and beautiful inside and out. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need. Great view of canal from the dock and awesome sunsets. We had fun using the swimming pool and outdoor kitchen/grill and really enjoyed sitting by the outdoor fireplace every night. Owners Andrea and Doug were fantastic to deal with and property manager Karen was very nice also. We would highly recommend this rental property and plan on definitely returning. 😀👍

First of all, The owners and manager of the property are wonderful people who sincerely want you to enjoy your stay. While there were a few hiccups, everything was addressed right away. It is a older home so of course things will happen. But the view is great and the neighborhood is quiet. It was a very relaxing and peaceful stay.

Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook and the pool had a lot of floaties to pick from. The kids enjoyed fishing off of the dock as well.

Absolutely gorgeous home. Very clean and my kids loved the pool and dock for fishing. We traveled to 4 different beaches nearby. Everything was just a short distance from the house. Very peaceful and quiet neighborhood and Andrea was so easy to work with and get in touch with. The most gorgeous sunsets to top off your days!!

The home was OK. Fishing was good but the bugs were ridiculous. I am still scratching from all the bug bites. Location is a good 30-40 min drive to all beaches - so be prepared for a drive to everything. Our biggest complaint was the AC - only able to set the AC temp to 75 was too hot for us. Most uncomfortable nights I have ever had. My son stayed in the front bedroom and his room was boiling hot everyday - at least 80 degrees due to the intense sun shining through. He was miserable the entire 10 days. Beds were hard and everyone had horrible nights sleep. Issue with the oven and owner knew it didn't heat up. A replacement was made but it did inconvenience us a bit for that installation plus my dinner that evening was ruined so thanks for nothing. The issue with charging us an additional fees for electric is ridiculous as well. We made sure ALL doors were shut and lights were off when not needed. We used minimal electricity during our stay. For the amount of money we spent for 10 day stay, I would expect the owner to absorb that cost based on the rental price. I will NEVER stay here again.

We had an amazing time. We fished off the dock. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Very quiet setting and relaxing. Still close to beaches and shopping.

House was great for our family of 8. We loved seeing the manatees, stingrays, Sharks, mullets among other fish off the dock. The home had beautiful sunrises and sunsets and was a great place to relax and get away. The stores were not so far away so it made it easy to run and pick up what we needed. Unfortunately hurricane Elsa passed by a few days into our stay and we had some unforeseen issues arise. The owners Andrea and Doug were quick to address the issues and correct the problems. We were very impressed with Andrea and Doug and their effort to make sure we were taken care of during our stay. The property manager Karen also checked in to make sure we were good and if we needed anything. Thank you Doug and Andrea for all you did for me and my family.

Great experience! The fishing was awesome! We caught a shark ,a few stingrays, and tons of cat fish! We saw a family of manites right off the backyard deck. As well as dolphins. The only thing we didn't see was alligators! House was good. Pool was great. Would love to have had more light by the pool area there was none besides the pool light and a couple lanterns . The area by gril even with the one light there it was to dark to see if our meat was done we had to use a flash light. So I diffently suggest lights out there. Rope lights anything. Loved how big the Master bathroom was!

We had an amazing, relaxing honeymoon at this home. We absolutely LOVED the outdoor pool and scenery, along with the spacious master bed and bath. Beautiful stay, and we greatly appreciate it! Thank you!!

Villa Lagoon is a very special property! Beautiful house that feels like home :) The nature preserve across the canal is absolutely stunning, providing privacy and tranquility. We caught many fish off the dock, including four bull shark, snapper cat fish ,and lady fish. Two manatees swam up to say hello and looked us right in the eye ♡ saw a blue crab swimming past the dock. The snook light is awesome! ( we couldn't wait for the sun to set) and the sunsets...Ohhh the sunsets. We heard wild Boar on two seperate evenings, enjoyed the afternoon thunderstorms that cleared quickly just in time for dinner and a late night swim. Inside is full of high end furnishings, dinnerware and cookware. Love that everyone leaves a little something behind, leftover sunscreen or shampoo, to paper towels and storage bags. Lots of spices in the pantry too. Andrea and Doug were great to deal with and the property manager Mira was very sweet. Can't wait to return next year!

This home has a great outdoor space. Grill,fridge and bar, table for 6, pool with a view. The kitchen is well stocked with glassware for inside and plastic for outside. The master suite and bath are very spacious. You will feel like home here.

This was not our first visit to this villa and we love this place so much we are torn between sharing our little secret with others or keeping it all to ourselves...we wish! Writing this on the final night of a 3 week stay...sitting watching the sunset from the comfortable seating in the Lainai .....sipping cold chilled Chardonnay 😎. We have fished tonight...great deck and caught a wide range of fish....snappers, sheepshead, blue crab, lady fish and of course the usual volume of catfish! The villa is ideally located..not far from the airport and things to do..but in its own perfect spot away from downtown Cape Coral. What we really like about this place is the bikes ....we have put the bikes in the back of the car and then cycled around Boca Grande, pine island and sanibel. Matlacha is also a lovely place to kick back and chill out. The wildlife is great...seen dolphin, manatees and the wild boar across the creek. The house has everything you need for the perfect stay...and we have greatly enjoyed being able watch Uk soccer on the Direct TV channels. This was particularly important to us this time round as we booked the vacation when we thought our team Burnley FC would finish the season mid table...and it was a joy to be able to celebrate their promotion to Premier League on Monday whilst in the pool. The owners, Andrea and Doug have been really attentive and helpful and Ivo,who looks after the property checks in from time to time in case you have any issues..which we didn't. We are definitely coming back......

We loved our stay at Villa Lagoon. The location is great, nestled in a quiet neighborhood. The scenery was outstanding overlooking the Matlacha Wildlife Preserve. We were able to catch dolphins playing out on the canal while we were enjoying down time on the lanai. The home was beautiful, clean, spacious, and well equipped, just as described--all of the amenities of home. Andrea and Doug were very easy to work with and promptly returned any phone call and email. We would definitely rent from them again. Favorite activities: boating down the canal looking at Christmas lights, docking the boat and having dinner at Rumrunners at Cape Harbor(the food was excellent), and then returning by boat in the dark. The "boys' went on a fishing charter with Captain Ryan at Port Sanibel Marina (Southern Instinct Charters). They had a great time and caught soooo many huge fish - even the goliath grouper! Loved hearing their "fish stories." Dislikes: NONE, everything was perfect Thank you Andrea and Doug for sharing Villa Lagoon with our family

Beautiful open concept home with everything you need for a great vacation. Very well equipped with all you need to feel like home. The location is remote but safe, quiet and close to shopping. Andrea and Doug were pleasurable to deal with and Evo, the on the ground contact was extremely helpful and friendly. If you are looking for relaxation, clean and comfortable you should consider this property.

We had a fabulous time in Cape Coral. The house was clean, organised, well equipped with everything we needed for dinner on the linai or casual lunches by the pool. Waking up every morning to birds of prey, Manatee, Bears across the Lagoon and even a snake or two made our visit more exciting. Cards at night watching the amazing sunsets! The house has a convenient location. Close enough to everything. And far enough away for piece and quiet Thanks to Andrea and Doug for an amazing trip and the property mananger was always helpful and a call away. Highly recommend a trip to Villa Lagoon!!!!

Villa Lagoon is a cultivated house in a wonderful, quiet site. Rest-looking vacationers will be inspired by the view over the Matlacha Preserve in front of the villa which gives guaranteed rest. Access to the sea on the waterway is possible by the boat belonging to the house. The villa is very generously with a large livingroom, an open kitchen, many seat opportunities and a grand piano in the lobby. Besides four bedrooms, one big and two smaller bathrooms, the roofed terrace fascinates just as the cultivated pool, the outside kitchen, an open fireplace with a seat group and another roofed seat area. The equipment and all amenities of the house promise a very pleasant vacation. Shopping possibilities exist in a low distance, restaurants and filling stations are accessible as well. The manager tries to help his guests at any time. So you can feel quite happy in this cultivated property. Vacations in the Villa Lagoon promise good rest. Very recommendable.

This is our 2nd visit, now under new ownership. Our 3 wk vacation is sadly coming to an end. There were a few issues, one of which was due to a spectacular thunder storm and lightning strike outside on the canal which knocked out both the telephone and internet for a few days. These were quickly and efficiently resolved by management but new owners Doug & Andrea maintained contact via email throughout our stay. The luxury accommodation was comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. Fishing was difficult at times but Snook, Catfish and even a small Tarpon were caught from the dock. We also saw Dolphin and Manatee right off the dock. We used the boat several times for trips out to Boca Grande and had no problems at all. Evo, the local contact for the property, stopped by a few times and was always ready to help with any issues and handled them quickly.
