The view was truly lovely at this rustic retreat. We spend over a week swimming relaxing and day tripping to hill cities, Luca, Pisa and more. The outdoor spaces were very good for dinning reading and lounging. The drive to the house was a gravel road which means it would be best done in an SUV and not in our rented Audi and mapping to the house always wants to send you down an even longer worse gravel road, so only go through Pomaia. We learned the hard way coming from Florence you have to drive south further then expected to use the right route to avoid crazy roads. We enjoyed the beaches 35 minutes away and Volterra was definitely a must from here. There was no air in the apartment but fans did help cool down the apartment especially in the evening. Internet worked very well but there was only local channels on the TV. Overall we really enjoyed our time as a break from the rushing of Rome and Florence and time to simply take in the view of Tuscany.

We had such a wonderful stay where Rosella, Elio and their family took good care of our family and ensured that everything was great! We can highly recommended a stay at their place!

Simply wonderful. Our weather in late May was sublime.

The house and surrounding gardens are very spacious and beautiful. In the gardens there is the pool, BBQ, tennis and soccer court and lots of other facilities for families to hang out and enjoy. It's only a half an hour drive to beautiful natural beaches. Our favorite beach was South of Cecina in the 'Riserva Naturale Tomboli di Cecina'. We stayed for one week with our four kids, ages 1 to 12 and it was a perfect vacation for all of us.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The hosts are very friendly, the appartement 'Cipresso' is cozy and well equiped. The big pool is fantastic to cool down. Our little boy (2,5y) also loved the toy corner. We also appreciated the pizza evening, the hosts made homemade pizza in their stone oven. Perfect location for sightseeing in the near. There is nothing we really missed (air condition would be great, because the nights were also quite hot), but we would come back again.

Beautifull farm in the hills of Toscane, well kept, with 4 apartments, a pool and sport amenities. We made a reservation for 10 nights, but left after 2 nights. The place is beautifull but remote. The road is very bad, (if your car is low drive very slow and carefully!) and it takes much time to go out to a bigger village, supermarket or the sea. It is more suitable for people who want to spent their holiday on one location and do not have the need to go out. Also worth to mention: there is no seperation between the terrace, so you have no complete privacy. The beds are not so comfortable in our opinion and on the mezzanine there are only matrasses and the space is narrow. Rooms are not well isolated, so less privacy. We even heard the neighbours talk. Also bring your mosquito-spray, there is a lot flying around.

"Il Canneto" is a lovely place, we spent two weeks full of tranquility and relaxation. Many thanks to Rossella and Elio for being wonderful hosts, also reacting very flexibly and responsibly to the COVID situation. We definitely recommend the property to all future guests, even though they should be prepared to use the car for all regular activities of daily life (doing groceries, having an ice cream, disposing waste, ...). But -- it's definitely worth it!
