We loved our stay in this beautiful house. Quiet neighborhood, spectacular views, easy beach access and a lovely home to boot. We needed a get away from work and stress and this was the perfect place to find that. Great house for taller people - not always easy to find.

A group of 5 friends stayed here for 2 nights. We had lots of space to sleep. The great room/kitchen/deck area was open and bright allowing gorgeous sound views! We had an eagle fly right past the deck low and slow, amazing! We also saw a heron, seals and ships (cruise and cargo) and boats. We took a walk along the beach and watched the sunsets. Such a beautiful, spacious, gorgeously decorated home with amazing views! My family completely enjoyed their stay and were very comfortable. Kitchen is fully equipped with some newer appliances. Beds were really comfortable. Home is furnished with beautiful antiques. Home is in a great location in a quiet neighborhood. Definitely consider this home for your Whidbey Island vacation!

Magical Blue was incredible! Everything about the house and its location were 100% accurate. We were on Whidbey Island for our sons's wedding in Freeland. This was a perfect house and proximity to the venue. The host was very accommodating and quick to respond to any question I had. The house had lots of space and the views were stunning! The house was amazing! Plenty of room for 8 of us. Sitting on the deck with our coffee (and mimosas!) in the morning watching the water was breathtaking.

We had a wonderful stay here celebrating our father's 90th and my son's 20th birthdays. The location was perfect (quiet but close to services), the house was clean and there was lots of room to spread out upstairs & downstairs, but what really stands out is the incredible view from the deck. We spent a lot of time enjoying the view of the water and the Olympic Peninsula. The management company was responsive and the check in/out process was easy & efficient. We didn't want to leave!

I took a chance on this rental because the location looked good and my children were familiar with the area. I thought the description of the room layouts was vague but went ahead and rented. I was disappointed that the house did not have easy access to the beach. Description inferred that the beach was right there … Yes it was a short walk but it didn’t allow the children to play at the beach without adults going with them. The layout of the beds was confusing on the VRBO site. Many times a VRBO rental will show floor plans but this one just listed the beds and didn’t say if they were upstairs or down. The layout ended up being fine but it put the senior citizen in the queen bedroom going up and down the stairs. House was well appointed and Whidby island is wonderful. We left quite fast and hope we did everything necessary to check out. WE DID ENJOY OUR STAY. oh the blinds in living room / kitchen need repaired. It helped to have them closed in the heat of the afternoon but some windows didn’t have blinds and some didn’t work completely.

We loved the quiet neighborhood, the access to the beach, the view, the deck, and the size of the house. The kitchen had the basics we needed and we enjoyed the open floor plan. Our problem occurred when we got ready for bed and found that we had 4 towels for a group of 7 women and there was no accessible backup supply of towels despite making the reservation for 8 guests. The rental company was quick to respond the next morning and provided more towels. Two other slight issues - the jets in the master bathtub don't seem to work, and the description of the beds does not specify that one is a Murphy bed so that was confusing.

If I had any critiques it would be that the appliances and technology (sound system) could use an update. The instructions in the house manual were difficult to follow and we ended up using trial and error to make things work. That said, the rental agency staff were incredibly responsive and I would definitely stay here again.

+ Fantastic view + Conveniently located; a short drive to everything in South Whidbey + Short walk to the beach + Spacious- plenty of room to spread out + Extra fridge in the garage for drinks - Nearby beach is great for strolling & exploring, but it's mostly rocky (bring shoes)... if you're looking for a classic "beach day" you'll probably want to drive elsewhere - The furniture & appliances, although well-cared-for, are dated. You can tell this was a top-of-the-line house 30 years ago, and although it's well-loved, some things are showing their age - If you're not careful, the dishwasher backs up into the sink. Might be a septic capacity issue; there are signs warning. We had to be careful about when we turned on the dishwasher. - Kids' bunk beds are very creaky, which made it hard for the kids (and thus, the parents) to sleep Overall this is a nice house in a gorgeous location. We had a great trip, but there were enough small annoyances that we had to knock off a star.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The view is amazing, the house is spacious and clean. Neighborhood is quiet. We were able to see comet Neowise form the deck, and the Milky Way. Would like to return one day.

The Majestic Blue View is very comfortable and clean, with an amazing view. We have stayed on Whidbey four years in a row now, and this house definitely has our favorite view by far. The house is very spacious and has everything you need. We would absolutely rent this place again.

This home provided everything we could hope for, lots of room, a spectacular deck and a fun beach to prowl around...Great stay!

It is a perfect getaway from the hubbub of day-to-day life.Unfortunately there are some not so great aspects to this home, that are easily remedied with a little TLC. Locking the front door was a challenge for us, there are very helpful tutorial notes throughout the house, a note for how to secure the front door would be welcome.The kitchen has SO much potential, but the accoutrements fall well short. It's great that there's a whole drawer full of spices, but there was no salt in the house {Chervil and MSG, but no salt}. The fridge in the kitchen has been unreliable since December 2017 (according to reviews), it is time to move the working fridge out of the garage and into the kitchen. Trust me, nobody will care that it doesn't look "built-in". The pots, pans, utensils, knives are all well past their pull-date in terms of utility. The coffee maker had no filters, the dish soap and olive oil containers were almost empty, the hand soap dispensers in the bathrooms, empty.For the next guests, we bought and left behind:SaltDish soapAluminum foilZiploc bagsolive oilpaper towelscoffee filters, basket type, 100 count.I know all these things are probably considered "extras", but some folks consider them necessary, I know we do. Luckily, we are familiar enough with Whidbey and Freeland to know that there's a grocery store less than three miles away, but out of staters might be caught short.We have stayed at another Tara property, Crane's Landing (which is beautiful in every way) so it seems like Tara is not the weakest link here.Maybe charge a little more to upgrade the kitchen gear, and put some hand soap in the dispensers.(There's a thrift shop just up the road, we thought of buying some newer kitchen t

We ended up being 8 people instead of 10 and I'd say this place is perfect for 8-10 if you are putting two to most beds. The bunkbeds were also comfy. If you stay here read the notes in advance for topics such as noise rules (this is a very quiet area), toiletries and paper products (a starter is provided but with 8-10 you will run out so bring more paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo and your own soap) and other little things like how to operate the appliances. The customer service was great, very helpful and quick to respond throughout. We asked for early check in the day of and we got in at 3 instead of 4. The fridge stopped cooling items and we found a second one in the garage thankfully! plus, the staff called me back right away to address the situation so we didn't lose any perishables. The view is astounding, there are a ton of seating and lounging options and couches and lovely lighting, windows, a deck, great kitchen and appliances. Two TV's but we didn't watch. The bathrooms are great for a large group too. The house was spotless when we arrived. There is access to a private beach for renters of this house less than a 1/4 mile away. We are considering renting this place again in the summer!
