The villa was as described. The beds were comfortable and the Air conditioning was welcome during a hot spell. The villa fit what our family needed. However there was a couple issues, ants in the kitchen were a problem that forced us to store everything in the refrigerator and stove to protect from the ants. Also the pool filter/cleaner wasnt working for most of the trip and therefore the pool was a little gross, this was repaired on the second to last day and was much better after. The local property manger in charge of check in/out was helpful and very responsive to questions and issues. The locations was okay, this side of the beach wasnt quite as nice as closer to the town pier. It was quiet though which was nice. The beach is just out of view through the trees from the villa, about a 30 second walk.

The process was flawless and everything was taken care of. I would recommend this to anyone!

Nous revenons tout juste de nos vacances en Martinique où nous avons séjourné à la Villa on the rock. C'est en toute simplicité un endroit parfait. La maison est magnifique, bien située, bien équipée, bien entretenue, magnifiquement décorée. Le service a été n°1 du début à la fin. Les réponses à nos questions étaient très rapides. L'accueil a été chaleureux. Et comble du bonheur, nous voyons l'océan de la terrasse. Un élément important à savoir, le dimanche, les commerces ferment à 12h30. À prévoir si votre vol est un dimanche comme nous :) L'hôtesse nous a accommodé pour le premier petit déjeuner. Quelle chance !

We had a very good stay at the Villa on the Rock. The house was perfect and very well equipped. We recommend it highly!

What a wonderful house and wonderful vacation! We spent 12 days at the "Villa on the Rock", with beautiful weather, great gourmet food, friendly people and a lot of nice experiences. This house is very well maintained, and beautifully furnished. The air conditioning in each room works perfectly, as do all the new appliances. We used the barbecue, made smoothies, and cooked nearly every day at the house. We arrived late at night on Christmas Day, and the owner of the house, Evelyne prepared a wonderful dinner. She is the very best of all property owners and knows perfectly how to make a great rental vacation even greater. She is responsive and will do almost anything to insure that you have a fabulous, memorable vacation. Although our French is limited, she can certainly communicate in English. The location of the villa is in close proximity to the town of Diamant and only minutes from some of the nicest beaches anywhere in the world, where you can eat, swim or even shop in quaint seaside towns. Because of the ocean breezes nearby the house, there are no mosquitoes, and it's not really necessary to use air conditioning although it was nice to have. Buying food was great pleasure because the main outdoor market was only 1 km from the house. You can also get fresh meat and fresh fish every day, if you want, as well as probably 100 kinds of locally grown fruits, most even the most intrepid of travelers have never seen. The bakery across the street from the market always had many people waiting to go shopping, because everything they make it is so delicious and fresh. We have two kids, a three and a six year old, so the swimming pool, which is well protected, was a perfect spot for them to play. The beach, which is only 30 meters away from the house, has larger “Hawaii” type waves, which is a perfect spot to body surf or relax, and was nice to have so near our house. Neighbors are very nice and quiet too. Definitely a place that we would recommend to you and a place that we would rent again when we return to Martinique. Thank you, Evelyne.
