Really nice facility in cool open-beamed and exposed brick space. Water pressure really low in bathroom sink but good in shower. Great location just a block from Union Station.

The room is really cute and has all the amenities (including washing machine and dishwasher). Staying for business though I could hear quite a lot of noise from other rooms which made sleeping difficult at night

The worse choice I made for my business trip. The noisiest room I have ever stayed in.
No reception, none to talk to, just text messages from different confused agents.
They agreed to change my room in a different hotel and 100 UDS compensation.
Then another nightmare. They have given me the wrong codes and I got stranded for 1 hour in the middle of the night in front of the building.
Never again.
Also I have never seen any compensation.

Loved staying here - it felt like we were living in Chicago, clean and well styled. Loved the exposed brick and ability to store luggages before and after check in / check out. Great location too, right next to an amazing brekky spot!

The unit is nice and the location is great. However, the stylish exposed ceiling was really problematic. We had screaming/crying children in the unit above us and didn't get a decent night's sleep our entire stay.

Not a good property. Poor communication from Sonder across the board. Had to get Expedia to assist in accessing the hotel. No staff onsite to assist. Bed broke one night. Elevator not available for days for planned maintenance without notice. Rooms have damage in them that have not been fixed. Support through Sonder app & email is terrible... sometimes non-responsive. Was offered a full refund, but have only received a partial refund to date.

I had a deeply disappointing experience booking a stay at sonder. Despite having my reservation confirmed and providing all necessary identification, my booking was abruptly canceled the night before my arrival for possibly being a “risk” to Sounders community standards. The staff's demeanor and vague explanations left me feeling that this decision was rooted in racial profiling. It's disheartening to encounter such treatment in today's world. I hope sonder reassesses its policies and training to ensure all guests are treated with respect consideration, and fairness in the future. Would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming and safe stay.

We had a studio unit in the aparthotel and really enjoyed our stay. The communications were clear, making "check-in" very easy. The amenities were great, with a full kitchen, dishwasher, and an in-room washer/dryer combo.
Dining options were plentiful in the neighborhood. Union Station is less than a block away.

The stay was straight forward. Login with the passcode and get in. But no one at the reception so some nuances are not easy. For e.g. no early check in even if there are rooms. Also, for long stays, they cant change sheets or towels and no cleaning. It is an interesting concept but not so sure about long term stays like 4-5 days

I like the hotel, I did not realize there was no cleaning services or fresh towels. After 4 days the room needed some freshing and clean wash rags and towels. There was a washing machine but doing laundry on vacation is not for me.

It was close to Willis. The communication was great which made it easy to navigate. Room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I would suggest is to put a chair of some kind in there. The only place to sit was on the bed and I am not very fond of eating food on the bed. Other than that, great stay

It is next to Union Station. Downtown attractions are across the bridge. We loved the industrial decor. The wall is thin. You can hear people talking. It doesn’t bother us too much. Love Sonder!

Great set up and everything was easy. Short walk to Clinton/Blue line. Walls/floor/ceiling are indeed thin but if you’re prepared for that, it’s well worth it to have the two bedrooms and all of its conveniences. Would definitely stay in a Sonder again!

While the location is great and the unit itself was nicely decorated and clean, the lack of sound barrier between rooms was shocking. Unfortunately my neighbors kept late night hours and I could hear every single conversation, phone call, music, and "adult" activity all night long. If you like to sleep at night, I'd avoid this property.

We loved the space, very clean, great amenities, looks like a perfect combo of a cozy apartment and a hotel room. The only problem is that it’s not very soundproof, and you can hear people using restrooms or showering in the neighboring rooms. But would definitely stay again!

Only real issue was no late night (after 9) dining options. I got in later than expected & couldn't find even a fast food joint open after 9. Settled for 7-11 Pizza.

Sonders are always clean and efficient and this one was that, but this one isn't the best. Units in the Burnham are renovated but they have old ceilings made of wood which do not prevent noise transfer. They gave me a unit on the second floor and I could hear almost everything the person above me said or did. Sometimes when that person walked, the glasses in my unit slightly vibrated and you'd hear clinking.

We could hear everything our neighbors were saying, through the floor, maybe? They were not loud at all, but there was no sound privacy. Also, the bathroom fan didn’t work and a small piece of concrete or grout or gravel fell from the ceiling on the bed when we were watching tv. It was small but pretty unnerving.

Amazing location, safe & secure, gym access and stoarge access for late check out, amazing kitchen accessories - exhaust fan was not working properly inside bathroom, bed could have been more comfortable, water pressure was bit low.

Good and clean. Toliet clogged up but was swiftly taken care of. The water pressure in the shower was low and the water didn't get very hot. The oven was smokey and only used once due to fear of smoke alarm beeping loudly. Adding extra blankets would have been a great touch for TV couch watching. If someone is no used to loft living ( water flowing thru pipes, someone always going to bathroom, loud neighbor conversations) then the place for you. The location was perfect for my business trip and access to Union Station for the week. I liked the Studio unit that I had, it was very clean and the bed was super comfy. The modern interior design of Sonder properties is nice too. However, the walls of the unit were literally paper thin. There was a family either above or next to me with a baby and I could hear all of their conversations and the baby crying at all hours. That made it hard to relax and sleep after working 12+ hour days. My colleagues stayed in a 2 bedroom unit during the same week and reported the same - their neighbors were playing loud music and partying late into the night and that was extremely audible in their unit, making it hard to sleep. There was also a homeless person sleeping in the lobby while I was there and that was unsettling that anyone can access the building when it's supposed to be a secure place to stay.
