Wendy's property is absolutely beautiful and serene. The neighborhood is quiet and yet the location is close to many fun places. My husband and I stayed there with our 20 year old daughter who we were moving to college in Grand Rapids (just 40 minutes away), our 16 year old son, and our 2 year old daughter. The house was the perfect space for all of us and had everything we could possibly need. During our 9-day stay, we easily drove to Grand Rapids, Grandville, Fennville, South Haven, Holland, Saugatuck, and more. We cooked several family meals there and had everything we needed. It's also such a blessing to be able to do laundry on site. We went to the beach nearly every day, and Wendy has thoughtfully provided everything you could possibly need for a beach trip as well (beach tote, beach towels, sun hat, sunscreen, wagon, etc.)! The home itself is decorated so beautifully and feels really cozy and welcoming. We instantly felt at "home." The beds are comfortable, and we really appreciated the quality bedding, pillows, towels, and shower products. The screened-in porch is a fun and relaxing place to hang out. And watching the families of deer all over the neighborhood was definitely a highlight too! Wendy is an excellent host who has provided a wonderful home away from home for her guests! Thank you!

The house location made the trip - the house was clean and enjoyable. We walked to the beach and played outside on the grass - lovely bench swing in the back and nice beach gear that we go to use. Great host communication and very helpful. Excellent stay and would stay again!

Wendy was an absolutely terrific host. She was so communicative right from booking, providing every detail we needed! We were very impressed with her thoughtfulness with the little touches around the house. The house itself was very clean and inviting. Our favorite highlights were trying many of the family games provided, watching the deer from the screened-in porch, and walking to the beach. Absolutely would reccomend this rental to everyone, and would love to stay again!

Our week at the Douglas cottage was great. The location a few blocks fromLake Michigan makes it easy to access the beach and Lakeshore drive for sunset walks. The cottage is very comfortable and amenities are well stocked. Communication with owner excellent. Thank you Wendy!

If you are looking for a comfortable and clean home to rent, that's very close to Lake Michigan, this is the one! We loved the front porch, comfortable beds and private back yard. Owners are very communicative and nice to work with :=) Our family of 4 will definitely be back!

We loved the cottage, everything was just as it was pictured online. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with the basics. We appreciated the beach supplies (towels, wagon, etc) and the cupboard full of games. The neighborhood was quiet and so very quaint, with deer roaming around. And the location was perfect, close to Douglas and a few minutes walk to the beach. I highly recommend !
