Front desk very friendly and helpful. Could not have asked for more. This hotel has the oldest tiki bar in Florida! Very cool. Great bar with amazing coconut shrimp and reasonable drink prices. I will go back to Golden Host again ;-)

The AC was making a rattling sound and making the window vibrate, so dleeping was an issue.

The place was clean but I stayed Monday and Tuesday and all I wanted was some ac, a bed and fresh air because I had been working in flood damage all day. The ac was making a noise so bad I couldn't sleep and slept with a pillow over me head. I did not call that night and say anything because I knew the place was booked full. I asked the next morning to have it fixed, nicely. At 5:56pm they called still not fixed but HVAC guy on property and wanted to go in the room during the evening, I said perfect. I called at 8:03pm to see if finished because I was on my way back, front desk didn't know. Finally made it back at 9pm and stopped at the front desk and asked if it had been fixed, she didn't know but her dinner had just been delivered as I was walking out the door. So that was a priority. Got to room not fixed, slept the same way last night. Told front desk again this morning when leaving because someone I am sure is staying in it this evening. Front desk was too busy opening a package of swizzle straws/sticks(?) or something to take me seriously. I can guarantee I won't be back I'll sleep in my vehicle next time. Ridiculous...

Stays are generally good. Power was out after the hurricane passed by so i couldn't stay in the unit Thursday night. Came by Friday to return keys and asked about a possible discount with a future stay. Was told no. Not a big deal, but the absolute reply bothered me a little. To each their own though. Beds are soft and the pool is nice. Will return.

Just an incredible experience! Staff was phenomenal, room was gorgeous, and the bar with drag queen bingo was worth visiting alone. A truly stellar experience!

Kitschy to the max! This place had some major character and if your into the 50’s Tiki look you’ll love it. I observed it could use some TLC. Paint, cleaning, etc. but the pool was huge. Evidently they have huge parties and concerts sometimes. Lots of places to lounge by the pool but not too many shady areas. We went during the heat of the summer so it was intense. The pool was refreshing. They provide towels. There a Tiki bar on site and they had some entertainment. Free drink vouchers for the first beverage of your choice. The location was nice for getting to Sarasota, St Armand’s circle and Ana Maria Island. It was all about twenty minutes away with light traffic. Not great for walking anywhere that I could tell. If they would have had carpet rooms and the place a bit more clean I would have given a higher rating.

Enjoyed my stay. Second time staying there. I like the atmosphere and the price is great. Will return when I'm there again
