Due to delays in flights I was unable to complete my stay. I spent all morning calling and never got an answer until the afternoon when they told me I was already within the time frame of no return. Very upsetting I spent hours trying to cancel while also trying to figure out my flights.
I would have loved to stay but unfortunately that was not the case, and when I called their systems were down and unable to assist me right away.

There is not such El Canario Hotel by the Lagoon. When the GPS took us to the address provided by Expedia, there was no hotel there. I thought that I got to the wrong place, and did reset the GPS, it started taking me around in circles and bringing me back to the same location. Finally I called the phone number listed in the reservation, and the lady who took my call, told me that El Canario Hotel wasn’t functioning, and that I had to got the the Abitta Boutique Hotel, where they were taking guests that booked for El Canario Hotel. There at the Abitta Boutique Hotel they charged me $25 for parking my rental car. They also charged me hotel fees for staying there, $88 for the two nights. Very disappointing.

The Canario hotel was under construction however still worked to ensure we had a comfortable stay.

When we tried to check in we were told that there were no rooms available even though we had confirmed reservations. This was due to construction that was ongoing for months. At no time were we told of this and given a chance to book elsewhere. We were sent to a Holiday Inn that as run down and was a block away and owned by the same group as the hotel that we booked. I have instructed my credit card to put the cost of the reservation in "dispute".
