The location on the beach was fabulous as was the charming view from our balcony. The tiki bar steps away from our room was convenient and loads of fun. But the hotel is not well maintained and the grounds are dirty and in need of maintenance. Overall just a shabby looking hotel.

The property was just run down and in desperate need for upkeep. I thought it was a lot nicer than it was. The price was incredibly expensive and not worth it. Also they said they would charge for early check in. Never heard of this before. Long line to check in with only two staff checking people in. Overall, big disappointment. I would not stay there again or recommend it.

Location is great. Can't beat it. Staff is amazing, particularly Anastasia and Jared. I had a minor concern and they listened and accommodated my needs. The room was very clean but generally just a little run down and could use a little TLC/updating.

The condition of the property is not what is portrayed in their marketing photos. The property is outdated, our room was dirty and in need of maintenance. The room door deadbolt did not work and there were bags of trash outside laying around the parking lot. It felt more like an old motel that is priced at a premium. We felt duped and decided to find a new place to stay for the remaining three nights of our trip.
The only positive was the front desk staff being pleasant.

Great little stay! The check in process was seamless. The rooms are quiet all things considered. The area is beautiful. Now for the negatives, the tv only had a few channels due to some disagreement with providers. The restaurants on premises are good, but very limited. It would’ve been nice to have a microwave. Lastly they have a handful of random fees that they don’t talk about. Overall my stay was good and the things I have complaints about shouldn’t sway anyone from staying, just personal preferences

Upon arrival, they gave us a key to a room that was already occupied. Very awkward experience as we opened the door and saw all the suitcases.
They apologized and changed the room. However, everything else was also quite below expectations:
The property was quite old.
The stairs and elevators were not clean.
There was a dead cockroach in our room.
No food onsite. The bar was supposed to serve breakfast, but they told us that they were full (it didn’t seem full. There were only a few other people with plenty of space.)
No water in the room and no one who brings you something if you need anything at night.

Beautiful resort near the beach. Has many amenities. We loved everything except first night Jacuzzi was cold, so we could not use it. The second night it was warm, but it got cold while we were inside. Would definitely come back if Jacuzzi will be fixed. Great location.

I recently stayed at the Beach Retreat and Lodge, and had a disappointing experience. Our room had multiple cleanliness and maintenance issues. We found blood stains on the carpet and stains on the sheets. The AC unit had a light indicating the filter needed cleaning and did not blow cool air, making the room uncomfortable. Additionally, the soap pumps in the shower were not functional.
The amenities were subpar. The pool, advertised as heated, was cold and unenjoyable. The most frustrating experience was at the sports bar. Service was terrible; we waited 15 minutes before receiving menus, didn’t get utensils with our meal, and had to ask three times for our bill.
The only redeeming factor was the beach, which was beautiful and serene. However, the overall poor condition and service at the hotel overshadowed this positive aspect. I would not recommend the Beach Retreat and Lodge.

The beach, which isn’t private to the hotel, was crowded over the holiday weekend, which was somewhat expected but still a drawback.

Great location near the Lake and with beautiful views. Great location with nearby things to do. I wish the bathroom had a fan because the smell stays and lingers. In the shower, the Hot water was cold and the Cold water was hot. Overall a decent hotel and near the Lake

Lady who checked me in was rude.Nice room, decent view. Shower would not work, called and the maintenance man came and kinda fixed it. We went to dinner came back for a nice shower, no hot water, extremely disappointed. Only other thing was a old coffee cartridge from previous guest that housekeeping missed.
