Tv wasn't working, breakfast buffet too expensive, one of the waitresses in the nightshift has a really bad attitude.

Good : central Bordeaux very accessible by tram. Pool area and bar nice as is room all as would expect at this price level . Bad: Being asked for a 1400 Euro deposit on arrival for a 700 euro stay. When challenged we were told that the receptionist had put on too much and that it should be the cost of the room plus 100 euros a day though not to worry as this was only an authorisation and that the money wouldn't have been taken. On leaving we paid the bill owing. A couple of days later on checking the credit card it showed both the 1400 deposit and the 700. We enquired and then was told it was our credit card providers fault as they had cancelled the preauthorisation when we left. Whilst we are chasing this up - we feel that it is very presumptive of this hotel to take so much even if it is only 100 euros a day as soon as you arrive . If they feel the clientele are likely to do a runner - why not just charge the room rate and one flat charge of 100 euros . The cost of breakfast and dinner are quite expensive if not doing the lunchtime special and it is most unlikely that someone will take all their meals there during a 4 day stay!! Other niggles were lack of minibar/fridge in rooms on 4th floor and we struggled with the safe .

The hotel main reception and bar area is nice, with modern decor. The staff were also very friendly. The room had nice decor and very spacious and there was minimal noise from other guests. It was excellent that the hotel has a water tap offering filtered water (including sparkling) to refill. The only minor issue was the shower head did not work properly as half of the nozzles appeared to be blocked. Also, we got to our room and 10 minutes later the service maids were knocking on seeing if we needed the room clean which I thought was strange & even with the do not disturb sign they knocked on. The property is conveniently located with a tram stop right across the road. The tram journey towards central takes 20-30 mins depending on where you get off so easy. Although, going to the centre it begins quiet but more towards the centre it can get very busy and on the way back can also be standing room only. The hotel is also right near the lake and it is a nice walk around the lake.

The fitness /gym was in bad condition and very old.. only 1 mill, 1 bike and 1 ellipse … Thats all☹️😳

Good hotel, some confusion at the breakfast. Room carpets were "messy", not saying they were not clean but there were some brown stains here and there... suspicious.

Hotel Pullman is close to the wine museum. It is not so far away from driving to vineyards. The front desk staff are kind and helpful. They have a great parking lot which is not usually available in many hotels in France.

There was no spa - although it is included in Hotels.com description. Only good thing about this hotel was that it was right outside the tram stop and the ring road, so very easy to get into the city by tram; and away from the city by car. Hotel staff was very accommodating. Room was very nice & spacious with a good view of the lake. Nice location on the outskirt of Bordeaux. Would recommend.

A very enjoyable stay. - very comfortable rooms. - modern, clean and well appointed lobby/bar. - fantastically helpful and friendly staff. - convenient location next to tram stop and bike rental. We will visit again for sure.

NB Stay was Sat 9th Jul to Mon 11 Jul. Lovely setting in Bordeaux Lac. Room was excellent with Lac view. Tramstop outside was so convenient. Swimming pool area was great. Would love to stay again.

When booking, I asked for 2 beds and got 1 bed. I had to ask them to change the room. I wanted to take a shower when i got to the room, but there was no body wash/ soap. I had to ask the front desk for soap. There was a convenient nespresso machine and tea kettle in the room. But there were no cups in the room to drink it. When i asked the front desk for cups, they told me could not help me and advised me to ask the hotel restaurant for a cup which i thought was strange. Why should i have to go fetch items that should already be in my room? Thats their job. The hotel looks nice in the lobby and the rooms were clean. But the carpeting in the halls needed vacuuming. Rooms were quiet.The train was conveniently located across the street. Pool was nice. Dinner in the restaurant was bland and mediocre, but the servers were nice. Breakfast was good but overpriced. There were few food options in the neighborhood and not too many other conveniences like a grocery, pharmacy, or convenience stores.
