We were placed on the first floor next to the exit. The exit had a sign that the door slammed-and boy did it- ALL NIGHT! At one point it slammed so hard that a drink fell off the night stand. When we were checking out, the woman said that “They really need to get that door fixed!” Why put paying customers next to a door that slams when you were not at capacity? The only positive was breakfast and they lady that works there. She made sure the breakfast was well stocked and that we were enjoying breakfast. They had fresh eggs, sausage, and corn beef hash, as well as fresh muffins and waffles.

Was disappointed that the hotel did not have a generator. Power went out. The stairs were not lit, causing a fall and safety concern. They only gave us an extra hour to check out. Being on the 5th floor and evacuating to this hotel meant that I had a lot of items to hall up and down the stairs. I am 52 with a bad hip and knee. I had to stop multiple times to catch my breath, on top of carrying multiple items to get out on time. Computers were down and everyone was leaving. Old people were dragging their items down the stairs. There was no assistance to help people. A/C had a gap underneath,so rain drenched the floor. Had to ask for towels, but that was understandable. Towels did have some yellow stains, or stains in general.

Check-in/Check-out went smoothly. One menacing issue rm 415?- main and bathroom doors need some WD-40 badly. One safety issue - you just use a bath mat towel inside the shower…VERY slippery.

Everything was wonderful. We really enjoyed the free breakfast. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
