A short walk to downtown Santa Clara, clean comfortable rooms. While this casa didn't have a dinner option, apparently they offer massages which I didn't book but in retrospect probably should have. Prices were reasonable. Upstairs where we had breakfast is also a lounge with a bar where you can hang out with other guests. The key to the gate that lets you out onto the street is a bit tricky. There were two of us and if one leaves to buy something, loses track of time and comes back waaay later than they said they would you are effectively locked in the place until your co-traveler with the key returns. Other than that Liuva was very nice and accommodating and her husband who's name I don't recall (apologies!) gave us a ride to bus station the morning we left. Much appreciated! Breakfast was the standard guava juice, guava & fruits and fried eggs with toast and honey. The same as most casas we traveled through in Cuba. What was far better than standard was the price - half of what we paid in La Habana for a casa just as nice.

When in Santa Clara, stay at Riki’s! He was waiting for me even though I arrived super late in the night. The location, the terrace with super delicious breakfast, the room with a nice hot shower was perfect for my stay. Gracias !

Room was noisy, opening into reception/TV/Computer area. Riki was unwilling to sell a few litres of water from his 20 litre jugs to a thirsty cyclist.
