The hotel is great with gorgeous views. The staff are friendly and speak English which was really helpful. However, a bar down the street was blasting music until well past 1 am and I struggled to sleep multiple nights during my stay because of it.

The hotel is ok - busy spot as there are few options. Parking is challenging & the room a bit worn down - the bed was not very comfortable. Great Thai restaurant down the hill from the hotel.

Lovely location with a beautiful view (superior room). The bed was not very comfortable, and the staff didn’t offer any assistance when they saw I was using crutches. The bar was excellent, but the restaurant had food that looked nicer than it tasted. In short, a decent hotel with a lovely location, but it had the feel if trying to be a star better than it actually was.

Very nice stay, rooms were cool and clean. Great food and drinks.
Beware there are a shortage of parking spaces onsite so if you get a spot for your car leave it there at the hotel.

One minus: on arrival a rude receptionist refused to accept my prepaid hotels.com booking. Told me that they only accepts payment at the hotel even though I showed them a receipt with paid amount from hotels.com. Very rude receptionist told me to pay (again) or leave as there was a line forming behind me. So in pouring rain went back to the car with my baby and wife. We called hotels.com and they fixed the situation for us.
Otherwise a great stay.

Fine hotel, well sited at the harbour for access to the train station, boats to Koster, and the town. Clean and tidy room and bathroom. Good hotel restaurant and bar, and great breakfast. Very helpful staff.

The hotel is in a very good location of Strömstad, right by the water. The room was as expected. Unfortunately, the reception staff were not helpful, especially the night staff (rude). Air conditioning centrally controlled and the room was too hot - uncomfortable sleep for a warm summer night. The bathroom and around the room was clean but a bit dusty.
The breakfast was okay and the staff there were nice and helpful.

The head waitress was rude and sarcastic. Definitely a hotel to avoid if you wish to eat gluten free without having to clarify your knowledge on what foods are or are not gluten free.

I liked the friendly welcome, the bar, restaurant and the central location. I did not like that my room was very warm. It made it difficult to sleep in the night.
